Claims
This disclosure provides aqueous compositions comprising aceclidine that are stable at room temperature for extended periods of time. This disclosure also provides systems comprising a container, such as a single-use container, and an ophthalmic composition, such as one comprising aceclidine. Methods for using such systems, containers, and compositions are also provided, such as in the treatment of eye disorders (e.g., presbyopia).
1. An ophthalmic composition for use in a method for treating presbyopia in an individual, wherein the method comprises administering the ophthalmic composition to an eye of the individual, wherein the ophthalmic composition comprises aceclidine and a pH of approximately 4.5 to approximately 5.5 and the ophthalmic composition is at room temperature when administered to the eye of the individual.
37. A system comprising a single-use container and an ophthalmic composition, wherein: (a) the ophthalmic composition comprises aceclidine or a salt thereof; and (b) the single-use container comprises a closed chamber, the ophthalmic composition is configured within the closed chamber, the single-use container is configured to open irreversibly, and the single-use container is configured, when opened, to dispense a first drop and a second drop of the ophthalmic composition through an opening.
