Claims

Methods for a user equipment (UE) configured for operation on a radio access network (RAN). These methods include receiving from the RAN a plurality of candidate configurations for mobility candidate cells, including conditional Layer 3 (L3) candidate configurations for the respective conditional L3 mobility candidate cells and Layer 1 / Layer 2 enabled inter-cell mobility (LTM) candidate configurations for the respective LTM candidate cells. These include one or more common mobility candidate cells. These methods also include detecting a radio-related fault and selecting a cell from the RAN to recover from the radio-related fault based on the fulfillment of one or more conditions, including selecting one of the common mobility candidate cells when one or more of the first conditions are met.These methods include selectively performing rapid fault recovery or reset on the selected cell, which includes selectively performing rapid fault recovery based on conditional LTM or L3 mobility when the selected cell is among the common mobility candidate cells.
