Adult diaper designed to solve the problems of the adjustable tabs during diaper packaging. The adult diaper has a longitudinal and a transverse direction; a front waist region, a back waist region, and a crotch region; whose chassis is generally rectangular with a longitudinally extended section in the crotch area; with longitudinal side edges, a front waist edge, and a back waist edge, which comprises a liquid-permeable top sheet, a liquid-impermeable back sheet, and an absorbent core located between the top sheet and the back sheet;elastic leg elements and adjustment ears located on both sides of the front and rear waist regions, said adjustment ears of the rear waist section having fastening tabs located on each distal edge, wherein the adjustment ears are folded into three pleats upon themselves, forming a “W”, and in turn, said pleats forming the “W” are joined by temporary attachments to a portion of the extended containment layer.
