Claims

In order to provide a novel agent for the treatment of hair pigmentation in subjects, the present invention proposes an active agent for use in such treatment, which activates, enhances, inactivates, blocks, or attenuates the cellular response of the TAS2R50 taste receptor or interferes with the expression of said receptor. Furthermore, the present invention relates to the use of said active agent as a medicament, cosmetic, or food supplement in the therapeutic or non-therapeutic treatment of hair pigmentation. The invention also relates to a composition or food, cosmetic, or medical supplement that regulates or modulates hair pigmentation.

1. An active agent for therapeutic use in the treatment of hair depigmentation, characterized in that said active agent activates or enhances the cellular response of the TAS2R50 taste receptor or stimulates or promotes the expression of said receptor.

9. A cosmetic or medical composition regulating hair pigmentation or a food supplement characterized in that it comprises at least one active agent according to any one of claims 1 to 8 and at least one auxiliary agent selected from the group consisting of vehicles, excipients, adjuvants, diluents, penetration enhancers and disintegrants.
