The present invention relates to a threaded pipe connection. A threaded pipe connection comprising a first pipe (100) terminating in a pin (110) having an external male thread (120); a second pipe (200) terminating in a housing (210) having an internal female thread (220), wherein the pin (110) is configured to engage with the housing (210), wherein: the male thread (120) comprises a zone of variable male thread width (122) along which the thread pitch on the load flank (124) differs from the thread pitch on the inlet flank (126); the female thread (220) comprises a zone of variable female thread width (222) along which the pitch on the load flank (224) of the thread differs from the pitch on the inlet flank (226) of the thread;The male variable thread width zone (122) is arranged to engage the female variable thread width zone (222) when the pin (110) is engaged with the housing (210); and the load flank thread pitch and the socket flank thread pitch vary along at least one of the male variable thread width zones (122) or female variable thread width zones (222).
