Claims
The realizations described in this disclosure relate to beam management, specifically user equipment-initiated beam management (UEIBM). In one aspect, a terminal device receives a filtering parameter configuration for UEIBM from a network device. The terminal device determines an event to trigger UEIBM based on this filtering parameter. Based on this event, the terminal device transmits UEIBM information to the network device. In this way, the filtering parameter for UEIBM measurements can be determined, and UEIBM can be implemented based on these parameters, thereby improving communication performance with UEIBM.
