Abstract
The invention relates to a method for controlling emission-influencing actuators (18, 22, 28, 32, 44) in internal combustion engines, in which actuators of the internal combustion engine, which has an exhaust aftertreatment system with exhaust aftertreatment devices, are controlled via a control unit, which is at least partially implemented as a neural network. According to the invention, the actuators (18, 22, 28, 32, 44) are controlled directly via the neural network, and a defined specific emission quantity of an exhaust component upstream of the exhaust aftertreatment devices and downstream of the cylinders of the internal combustion engine is used as the input value of the neural network. The system according to the invention consists of a control unit and an internal combustion engine, which has an exhaust aftertreatment system with exhaust aftertreatment devices and several actuators (18, 22, 28, 32, 44).The control unit has a neural network via which the actuators (18, 22, 28, 32, 44) can be directly controlled, wherein the input values of the neural network are at least the engine speed, the injected amount of fuel and a defined specific emission quantity of an exhaust component at the respective operating point, and the positions to be moved of the actuators (18, 22, 28, 32, 44) serve as output values of the neural network.
