Device for measuring wind flow conditions

Abstract

A device for measuring wind flow conditions of a moving test specimen (8) in harsh operating environments is described, comprising an ultrasonic anemometer (3) with at least one ultrasonic transmitter (4) and an ultrasonic receiver (5), which together form a measuring section (6). To obtain a robust device that, despite its compact dimensions, enables a representative measurement of wind flow conditions of a moving test specimen without significantly affecting the wind flow conditions in the measuring area, it is proposed that the ultrasonic anemometer (3) be arranged in a housing tube (1) having an inlet cone (2) and that the housing tube (1) have a mounting section (7) for insertion into a test specimen (8).
