Abstract

A spacecraft (1) for carrying payload, comprising one or more payload containers (2) for the payload and a frame structure (3) with an attached propulsion module and / or control module, wherein the frame structure (3) has a receptacle (5) for anchoring each payload container (2), wherein each payload container (2) is prism-shaped and has struts (9) extending along each prism edge and connected at the prism corners to adjacent struts (9), between which outer surfaces are formed by covers (10), wherein the payload containers (2) are designed to increase the stiffness of the frame structure (3) by at least 50%, for which purpose at least one cover (10) has one or more inclined reinforcing ribs (11), and wherein at least one of the covers (10) is made of a thermally conductive material and the frame structure (3) includes a heating or cooling module.which is thermally connected to the cover (10) when the payload container (2) is anchored in its receptacle (5).
