Abstract

The invention relates to a rail measuring carriage with a measuring carriage set (17) for each of two rails (8), each of which has at least one first guide element (2) for guiding the measuring carriage (1) along a direction of travel (7) on a rail (8) and at least one support element (9) for holding rail measuring devices (10), wherein the support element (9) is coupled to the at least one first guide element (2) so that the support element (9) can be guided along the rail (8) by means of the guide element (2).Each measuring carriage set (17) comprises a first inertial sensor (11) assigned to a first reference point (4) on the support element (9) and a second inertial sensor (12) assigned to a second reference point (5) on the support element (9), wherein the first reference point (4) and the second reference point (5) are arranged on the support element (9) in a defined position (6) relative to each other, such that the current position of the support element (9) can be determined by means of the defined position (6) of the first and second reference points (4, 5) relative to each other, which can be used to correct rail parameters to be measured. The measuring carriage sets are connected to each other via transverse connecting elements (18) which are elastically variable transverse to the direction of travel.
