Abstract

A rocking chair is described, comprising a frame (1) made of a wood-based material, two interconnected side sections (3) consisting of a base section (4) and a leg section (5) extending from the base section (4), and a seat mounted on the frame (1). To achieve advantageous structural conditions, it is proposed that the leg sections (5) extend from the rear end of the base sections (4) and, in the region of their upper ends, accommodate a crossbeam (7) between them, which is rotationally fixed to the leg sections (5) by plug connections; that the leg sections (5) are provided in the region of the plug connections with a locking clip to prevent their upper ends from splitting; and that two longitudinal beams (13) connect to the crossbeam (7) to form the seat, secured by tie rods (16) passing through the crossbeam (7).
