Abstract

Methods for monitoring the stability of a steam flow from a steam generator (50) supplied to a solid oxide cell system (10) are known, in which the temperature of the steam is measured by means of a temperature sensor (60) upstream of an inlet (57) to a solid oxide cell system (8) and downstream of the steam generator (50). According to the invention, a predetermined flow rate through the steam generator (50) is measured by means of a flow sensor (66), and a stable steam flow is inferred if the temperature of the steam, which is measured via the temperature sensor (60) in a steam outlet line (56), exceeds a defined temperature threshold and the measured predetermined flow rate does not exceed a maximum permissible defined change in the measured predetermined flow rate over a defined period of time.
