Abstract

A system for controlling the tire pressure (P) of a pneumatic tire (2) comprises a set (6) of pressure cartridges (6i), which has at least one pressure cartridge (6i), a fluidic line (7) connected between the set (6) of pressure cartridges (6i) and the pneumatic tire (2), a controllable shut-off device (8) which is arranged in the fluidic line (7) and can be moved from a closed position, in which it shuts off the fluidic line (7), to an open position, in which it releases the fluidic line (7), and an electronic control device (9) connected to the shut-off device (8), which is configured to determine a tire pressure requirement and, when a tire pressure requirement is determined, to control the shut-off device (8) in order to move it from the closed position to the open position and increase the tire pressure (P).
