Abstract

A device for the continuous pyrolysis of biomass, comprising a pyrolysis screw (1) with a screw feed (3) and a screw discharge (4a, 4b), a screw housing (2) in which a screw shaft (5) is rotatably mounted, and a temperature measuring unit (7) for measuring the reaction temperature. To enable a reliable and high-quality pyrolysis process despite the need for a simple and robust temperature measurement method, it is proposed that the temperature measuring unit (7) be arranged at least partially within the screw shaft (5) and include a temperature sensor (8) passing through an opening (D) in the screw shaft (5).
