SEALING ELEMENT FOR WASTE CONTAINERS

Abstract

The invention relates to a sealing element (1) for detachable attachment to a waste container (2) having a ring-shaped, one-piece form and at least one sealing layer (13) with a sponge-like structure, wherein the sealing layer (13) consists of biodegradable material. It further relates to a waste container (2) with a body having an opening, a flange (22) surrounding the opening with an attached rib (23), and a lid (24) closing the body, wherein the waste container (2) is detachably connected to a sealing element (1) according to the invention.
