A device comprising an optical device (1) having an objective lens system (3) with a primary optical beam path (8) and an electronic control, wherein the electronic control comprises: a main board (16) with a main processor (17) and at least one electronic interface for communication with a data bus, and at least two sub-boards (21, 24), characterized in that each of the two sub-boards (21, 24) has a control and at least one electronic interface for communication with the data bus, wherein the main board (16) and each of the two sub-boards (21, 24) are connected to the data bus, and wherein the sub-boards (21, 24) communicate with the main board (16) via the data bus, and wherein at least one of the sub-boards (21, 24) has a measuring device (23, 26).
