Reversible shower partition

Abstract

The invention relates to a reversible shower enclosure equipped with a pivot profile (1) attached to a side edge of a door leaf (2), in particular a glass door (2) of the shower enclosure. The pivot profile (1) is equipped with a first hinge insert (3) and a second hinge insert (3') suitable for insertion into an associated bearing element (4, 5) to form an upper and lower hinge (7) and to pivot the pivot profile (1) together with the door leaf (2) to a glass wall. The lower hinge (7) is suitable for raising and lowering the pivot profile (1) together with a lifting device in the lower hinge (7) during pivoting.The object of the present invention is to provide a reversible shower enclosure with a pivot profile that can be installed with a left-hand or right-hand hinge, as required, and with a lifting function, such that the surfaces of the installed door leaf are on the same side of the door leaf in both left-hand and right-hand hinge configurations. This object is achieved by designing both hinge inserts (3, 3') identically, by providing a separate lifting bushing (34) for the lifting device, and by inserting the lifting bushing (34) into the lower bearing element (5) and the lower hinge insert (3') into the lifting bushing (34) in the assembled state. The lower bearing element has a lifting part (22) which, together with the lifting bushing (34), forms the lifting device.
