A lock system for a roll top cover for a vehicle

Abstract

Abstract A lock system for a movable cover of a cargo bed or tray of a vehicle enables effective locking and security, communicably connected to the central locking system of a vehicle. The system comprises a movable cover operable by an electronic control unit and being movable between an open and a closed position, the movable cover enclosing a contained space under the movable cover within the cargo bed or tray of the vehicle when the movable cover is in the closed position, whereby in use the central locking system of the vehicle communicates a central lock or central unlock signal to the electronic control unit, and the electronic control unit then communicates a motor unit lock or motor unit unlock signal to a motor unit, which turns a cam between a locked position and the unlocked position, and wherein the lock system comprises a manual override within the contained space of the cargo bed or tray of the vehicle.
