Agent for promoting decrease in 8-ohdg concentration, agent for promoting decrease in malondialdehyde (MDA) concentration, agent for promoting increase in zip4 concentration, or agent for promoting increase in serum zinc concentration in jejunum

DHMBA from Pacific oyster fractions or synthesis addresses zinc deficiency by decreasing 8-OHdG and MDA concentrations and increasing ZIP4 and serum zinc levels, effectively mitigating oxidative stress in the jejunum.

Abstract

[Problem] The purpose of the present invention is to provide an agent for promoting a decrease in MDA concentration, an agent for promoting a decrease in 8-OHdG concentration, an agent for promoting an increase in ZIP4 concentration, or an agent for promoting an increase in serum zinc concentration in the jejunum with which it is possible to promote a decrease in MDA concentration, promote a decrease in 8-OHdG concentration, promote an increase in ZIP4 concentration, and promote an increase in serum zinc concentration in the jejunum to improve a state of oxidative stress. [Solution] The present invention is characterized by having 3,5-dihydroxy-4-methoxybenzyl alcohol as an active ingredient and having an 8-OHdG concentration lowering promoting action to lower the 8-OHdG concentration in the jejunum.
