[0004] Patent Literature 1: Japanese Laid-Open Utility Model Publication No. S62-054125. Patent Literature 2: Japanese Laid-Open Patent Publication No. 2014-233153. SUMMARY OF INVENTION Technical Problem
[0005] As described above, flashing is arranged in the vicinity of a through hole formed in roof sheathing of a roof. In terms of constructability, there is room for improvement in the structure around a through hole of roof sheathing. Solution to Problem
[0006] (1) A roof flashing member that solves the above problem is configured to be disposed on roof sheathing of a slanted roof. The roof flashing member includes a base and an upstand. The base is configured to be arranged along the roof sheathing. The upstand is configured to be arranged on a base lower end of the base in a mounted state in which the roof flashing member is mounted on the roof sheathing. The base lower end includes a first base lower end a second base lower end. The first base lower end obliquely extends downward from a base lower end vertex in the mounted state. The second base lower end obliquely extends downward from the base lower end vertex in a direction differing from a direction in which the first base lower end extends. The upstand includes a first upstand and a second upstand. The first upstand projects along the first base lower end. The first upstand is formed by a bend in a component of the roof flashing member. The second upstand projects along the second base lower end. The second stand is formed by another bend in the component.
[0007] With this structure, the upstand receives water flowing from the upper side of the roof flashing member. Then, such water is guided along the first upstand and the second upstand. The first upstand is formed by a bend in the component, and the second upstand is formed by another bend in the same component. This reduces the amount of waste materials as compared to when the base and the upstand are formed by different components and then joined to each other.
[0008] (2) In the roof flashing member according to aspect (1), in an unbent state, the component includes a linear lower end, and an upper end parallel to the lower end. The base includes a fold folded so that a first lower end, which is a part of the lower end, intersects a second lower end, which is another part of the lower end. The first upstand is formed by a bend in a portion of the component including the first lower end. The second upstand is formed by a bend in another portion of the component including the second lower end. With this structure, the roof flashing member is formed from a single component. This reduces the number of parts used for forming the roof flashing member.
[0009] (3) In the roof flashing member according to aspect (2), the fold includes an outward-fold portion extending orthogonal to the lower end, and an inward-fold portion. In the unbent state, the inward-fold portion extends from an intersection of the upper end and the outward-fold portion, such that the inward-fold portion obliquely intersects the outwardfold portion. With this structure, the fold includes two bends.
[0010] (4) In the roof flashing member according to aspect (2), the fold includes an outward-fold portion, a first inward-fold portion, and a second inward-fold portion. The outward-fold portion is orthogonal to the lower end. In the unbent state, the first inward-fold portion extends from an intersection of the upper end and the outward-fold portion, such that the first inward-fold portion obliquely intersects the outward-fold portion in a first direction. In the unbent state, the second inward-fold portion extends from the intersection of the upper end and the outward-fold portion, such that the second inward-fold portion obliquely intersects the outward-fold portion in a second direction differing from the first direction. With this structure, the fold includes three bends.
[0011] (5) In the roof flashing member according to aspect (1), in an unbent state, the component includes a linear lower end, and an upper end parallel to the lower end. The base includes a fold folded so that a third lower end, which is a part of the lower end, intersects the first upper end, which is a part of the upper end. The first upstand is formed by a bend in a portion of the component including the third lower end. The second upstand is formed by a bend in another portion of the component including the first upper end. With this structure, the fold includes a single bend.
[0012] (6) In the roof flashing member according to aspect (1), the first upstand is formed by a bend in a first component. The second upstand is formed by a bend in a second component. The base includes the first component and the second component. With this structure, the roof flashing member is formed by the first component and the second component. Such a roof flashing member has relatively few bends, thereby improving the dimensional accuracy.
[0013] (7) A roof that solves the above problem is a slanted roof. The roof includes the roof flashing member according to any one of aspects (1) to (6). The roof flashing member is disposed at an upper side of a through hole of the roof sheathing. With this structure, the roof flashing member is formed by a bend in a component. This reduces the amount of waste materials produced during construction of a roof. Advantageous Effects of Invention
[0014] The roof flashing member and the roof including the roof flashing member of the present disclosure reduce waste materials. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS

[0016] First Embodiment A roof 1 of a building and a roof flashing member 10 will now be described with reference to Figs. 1 to 7. As shown in Fig. 1, the roof 1 includes a sloped beam 2, roof sheathing 3, a waterproof sheet 4, and roof shingles 5. The roof sheathing 3 is arranged on the sloped beam 2. The waterproof sheet 4 is laid out on the roof sheathing 3. The roof shingles 5 are disposed above the waterproof sheet 4. The roof sheathing 3 is formed by wood material. The waterproof sheet 4 is a strip of sheet material. The waterproof sheet 4 is laid out to extend in a lateral direction. Specifically, multiple waterproof sheets 4 are arranged next to one another from top to bottom. In two adjacent ones of the waterproof sheets 4, the lower end of the upper waterproof sheet 4 overlaps the upper end of the lower waterproof sheet 4. The roof shingles 5 are arranged next to one another from top to bottom. In two adjacent ones of the roof shingles 5, the lower end of the upper roof shingle 5 overlaps the upper end of the lower roof shingle 5. Rainwater may enter into the roof 1 through gaps between the roof shingles 5. The rainwater entering through the roof shingles 5 may flow downward along the surface of the waterproof sheets 4. The waterproof sheets 4 protect the roof sheathing 3 from water.
[0017] Wiring 6 may be arranged through the roof 1. Examples of the wiring 6 may include a power line or a signal line. The wiring 6 is routed out of the roof 1. The wiring 6 may be routed into the roof 1. The wiring 6 is arranged through the roof 1 when, for example, an electric equipment is installed on the roof 1. Examples of the electric equipment may include a solar panel, an antenna, or a lighting device.
[0018] The roof 1 includes a through hole 3A for routing the wiring 6 through the roof 1. Specifically, the through hole 3A extends through the roof sheathing 3. The wiring 6 is routed through the through hole 3A. The through hole 3A may be circular, rectangular, or triangular.
[0019] As shown in Fig. 2, the roof 1 includes the roof flashing member 10. The roof flashing member 10 is disposed on the roof sheathing 3 of the slanted roof 1. The roof flashing member 10 is located on the roof sheathing 3 at an upper side of the through hole 3A, so that rainwater flowing through the roof shingles 5 will not flow into the through hole 3A.
[0020] As shown in Fig. 3, the waterproof sheet 4 includes a notch 4A that exposes the through hole 3A. In an example, the notch 4A of the waterproof sheet 4 is formed by folding portions of the waterproof sheet 4 located along a cutting line 4B. This eliminates offcuts. In another example, the notch 4A of the waterproof sheet 4 is formed by cutting out a portion of the waterproof sheet 4.
[0021] Roof Flashing Member The roof flashing member 10 will now be described with reference to Figs. 2 and 7. The roof flashing member 10 is disposed on the roof sheathing 3 of the slanted roof 1. The roof flashing member 10 includes a base 11 and an upstand 20. The base 11 is arranged along the roof sheathing 3. The base 11 is located under the waterproof sheet 4. The upstand 20 is positioned along the notch 4A of the waterproof sheet 4. The upstand 20 is located above the waterproof sheet 4.
[0022] The roof flashing member 10 is formed by bending a single component 30. In an unbent state, the component 30 is a plate member. The component 30 is formed from aluminum or stainless steel. In an example, the component 30 has a rectangular shape. In an unbent state, the component 30 has a linear lower end 31, and an upper end 32 parallel to the lower end 31. The lower end 31 of the component 30 includes a first lower end 31A and a second lower end 31B. The first lower end 31A and the second lower end 31B are different parts of the lower end 31.
[0023] The base 11 includes a fold 15 folded so that the first lower end 31A of the component 30 intersects the second lower end 31B of the component 30. The fold 15 includes an outward-fold portion 16 orthogonal to the lower end 31, and an inward-fold portion 17.
[0024] In an unbent state of the component 30, the inward-fold portion 17 extends from an intersection 18 of the upper end 32 of the component 30 and the outward-fold portion 16, such that the inward-fold portion 17 obliquely intersects the outward-fold portion 16. In an example, in an unbent state of the component 30, the inward-fold portion 17 intersects the outward-fold portion 16 at a predetermined angle. The predetermined angle is between 30 degrees and 60 degrees, inclusive.
[0025] When the component 30 is folded along the outward-fold portion 16 and the inward-fold portion 17, the first lower end 31A of the component 30 intersects the second lower end 31B of the component 30. As a result of such folding, in a mounted state, a first plate section 11A extends obliquely downward from a base center line C, and a second plate section 11B extends obliquely downward from the base center line C. The base center line C coincides with the inward-fold portion 17. The first plate section 11A and the second plate section 11B are symmetric with respect to the base center line C. The above folding along the outward-fold portion 16 and the inward-fold portion 17 forms an overlapping part 19 that overlaps the first plate section 11A.
[0026] The base 11 includes a base lower end 12 and a base upper end 13. The base lower end 12 includes a first base lower end 12A and a second base lower end 12B. The first base lower end 12A is the lower end of the first plate section 11A. The second base lower end 12B is a lower end of the second plate section 11B.
[0027] In a mounted state, the first base lower end 12A extends obliquely downward from a base lower end vertex 14. The first base lower end 12A is where a first upstand 21, which will be described later, projects. The second base lower end 12B extends obliquely downward from the base lower end vertex 14 in a direction differing from the direction in which the first base lower end 12A extends. The second base lower end 12B is where a second upstand 22, which will be described later, projects.
[0028] In a mounted state in which the roof flashing member 10 is mounted on the roof sheathing 3, the upstand 20 is arranged on the base lower end 12 of the base 11. The upstand 20 includes the first upstand 21 and the second upstand 22.
[0029] The first upstand 21 is formed by a bend in a portion of the component 30 including the first lower end 31A. More specifically, the first upstand 21 is formed by bending the component 30, so that the first upstand 21 projects along the first base lower end 12A.
[0030] The second upstand 22 is formed by a bend in a portion of the component 30 including the second lower end 31B. More specifically, the second upstand 22 is formed by bending the component 30, so that the second upstand 22 projects along the second base lower end 12B.
[0031] Roof Flashing Member Forming Method A method for forming the roof flashing member 10 will now be described with reference to Figs. 4 to 7. As shown in Fig. 4, in a first step, a first line L1 indicating the outward-fold portion 16 is formed on a longitudinally intermediate part of the rectangular component 30, such that the first line L1 is orthogonal to the lower end 31. Then, a second line L2 indicating the inward-fold portion 17 is formed on the component 30, such that the second line L2 extends through the intersection 18 of the first line L1 and the upper end 32 of the component 30, and obliquely intersects the first line L1.
[0032] As shown in Fig. 5, in a second step, the component 30 is folded outwardly along the first line L1, and then folded inwardly along the second line L2. As a result, the first lower end 31A of the component 30 intersects the second lower end 31B. Also, the overlapping part 19 overlaps the first plate section 11A.
[0033] As shown in Fig. 6, in a third step, a first slit 33 is formed in the component 30 near the first lower end 31A, and a second slit 34 is formed in the component 30 near the second lower end 31B. Fig. 4 shows the positions of the first slit 33 and the second slit 34.
[0034] As shown in Fig. 7, in a fourth step, a portion of the component 30 including the first lower end 31A is bent to form the first upstand 21. Also, a portion of the component 30 including the second lower end 31B is bent to form the second upstand 22.
[0035] Operation of the Embodiment When the roof flashing member 10 is formed from multiple components, the amount of waste materials may be relatively large. For example, when the base 11 and the upstand 20 are cut out from different components 30, cutoffs may be produced from both the component 30 for the base and the component 30 for the upstand 20. In this respect, the roof flashing member 10 of the present embodiment is formed by bending the component 30. This minimizes the waste materials produced during the forming process of the roof flashing member 10.
[0036] Advantages of the Embodiment (1) The roof flashing member 10 includes the base 11, and the upstand 20 arranged on the base lower end 12 of the base 11. The first upstand 21 is formed by a bend in the component 30, such that the first upstand 21 projects along the first base lower end 12A. The second upstand 22 is formed by another bend in the component 30, such that the second upstand 22 projects along the second base lower end 12B.
[0037] With this structure, the upstand 20 receives water flowing from the upper side of the roof flashing member 10. Then, such water is guided along the first upstand 21 and the second upstand 22. The first upstand 21 is formed by bending the component 30, and the second upstand 22 is formed by bending the same component 30. This reduces the amount of waste materials as compared to when the base 11 and the upstand 20 are formed by different components and then joined to each other.
[0038] (2) The fold 15 of the base 11 is folded so that the first lower end 31A, which is a part of the lower end 31, intersects the second lower end 31B, which is another part of the lower end 31. The first upstand 21 is formed by a bend in a portion of the component 30 including the first lower end 31A. The second upstand 22 is formed by a bend in a portion of the component 30 including the second lower end 31B. With this structure, the roof flashing member 10 is formed from a single component 30. This reduces the number of parts used for forming the roof flashing member 10.
[0039] (3) The fold 15 includes the outward-fold portion 16 orthogonal to the lower end 31, and the inward-fold portion 17. The inward-fold portion 17 extends from the intersection 18 of the upper end 32 and the outward-fold portion 16, such that the inward-fold portion 17 obliquely intersects the outward-fold portion 16. With this structure, the fold 15 includes two bends.
[0040] (4) In the slanted roof 1, the roof flashing member 10 is disposed at the upper side of the through hole 3A of the roof sheathing 3. With this structure, the roof flashing member 10 formed by bending the component 30 is used. This reduces the amount of waste materials produced during construction of the roof 1.
[0041] Second Embodiment Another method for forming a roof flashing member 10 will now be described with reference to Figs. 8 to 11. In the present embodiment, same reference characters are given to those components that are the same as the corresponding components of the first embodiment. Such components will not be described in detail.
[0042] As shown in Fig. 11, the roof flashing member 10 includes a base 11, a first upstand 21, and a second upstand 22. The roof flashing member 10 is formed by bending a single component 30. In an unbent state (refer to Fig. 8), the component 30 has a linear lower end 31, and an upper end 32 parallel to the lower end 31. The lower end 31 of the component 30 includes a first lower end 31A and a second lower end 31B. The first lower end 31A and the second lower end 31B are different parts of the lower end 31.
[0043] The base 11 includes a fold 15 folded so that the first lower end 31A of the component 30 intersects the second lower end 31B of the component 30. The fold 15 includes an outward-fold portion 35, a first inward-fold portion 36, and a second inward-fold portion 37. The outward-fold portion 35 is orthogonal to the lower end 31 of the component 30 in an unbent state.
[0044] In an unbent state of the component 30 (refer to Fig. 8), the first inward-fold portion 36 extends from an intersection 38 of the upper end 32 and the outward-fold portion 35, such that the first inward-fold portion 36 obliquely intersects the outward-fold portion 35 in a first direction. In an example, in an unbent state of the component 30, the first inwardfold portion 36 intersects the outward-fold portion 35 at a predetermined angle. The predetermined angle is between 30 degrees and 60 degrees, inclusive.
[0045] In an unbent state of the component 30 (refer to Fig. 8), the second inward-fold portion 37 extends from the intersection 38 of the upper end 32 and the outward-fold portion 35, such that the second inward-fold portion 37 obliquely intersects the outward-fold portion 35 in a second direction differing from the first direction. The second inward-fold portion 37 intersects the outward-fold portion 35 at a predetermined angle. The predetermined angle is between 30 degrees and 60 degrees, inclusive. In an example, in an unbent state of the component 30, the angle of the second inward-fold portion 37 relative to the outward-fold portion 35 is equal to the angle of the first inward-fold portion 36 relative to the outwardfold portion 35.
[0046] The component 30 is folded along the outward-fold portion 35. The component 30 is folded along the first inward-fold portion 36. The component 30 is folded along the second inward-fold portion 37.
[0047] The base 11 includes a first plate section 11A and a second plate section 11B. The first plate section 11A extends obliquely downward from a base center line C in a mounted state. The second plate section 11B extends obliquely downward from the base center line C in a mounted state. The first plate section 11A and the second plate section 11B are symmetric with respect to the base center line C. The outward-fold portion 35, the first inward-fold portion 36, and the second inward-fold portion 37 of the component 30 form an overlapping part 39 that projects orthogonally on the first plate section 11A and the second plate section 11B. The overlapping part 39 is further bent.
[0048] The first upstand 21 is formed by a bend in a portion of the component 30 including the first lower end 31A. The second upstand 22 is formed by a bend in a portion of the component 30 including the second lower end 31B.
[0049] Roof Flashing Member Forming Method The method for forming the roof flashing member 10 in accordance with the present embodiment will now be described with reference to Figs. 8 to 11. As shown in Fig. 8, in a first step, a third line L3 indicating the outward-fold portion 35 is formed on a longitudinally intermediate part of the rectangular component 30, such that the third line L3 is orthogonal to the lower end 31. Then, a fourth line L4 indicating the first inward-fold portion 36 is formed on the component 30, such that the fourth line L4 extends through the intersection 38 of the third line L3 and the upper end 32 of the component 30, and obliquely intersects the third line L3. Further, a fifth line L5 indicting the second inward-fold portion 37 is formed on the component 30, such that the fifth line L5 extends through the intersection 38 of the third line L3 and the upper end 32 of the component 30, and obliquely intersects the third line L3. The fifth line L5 and the fourth line L4 are symmetric with respect to the third line L3.
[0050] As shown in Fig. 9, in a second step, the component 30 is folded outwardly along the third line L3, folded inwardly along the fourth line L4, and folded inwardly along the fifth line L5. As a result, the first lower end 31A of the component 30 intersects the second lower end 31B. Also, the overlapping part 39 projects from the first plate section 11A and the second plate section 11B.
[0051] As shown in Fig. 10, in a third step, the overlapping part 39 is folded to decrease the height of the overlapping part 39. As shown in Fig. 11, in a fourth step, a portion of the component 30 including the first lower end 31A is bent to form the first upstand 21. Also, a portion of the component 30 including the second lower end 31B is bent to form the second upstand 22.
[0052] Advantages of the Present Embodiment The fold 15 includes the outward-fold portion 35, the first inward-fold portion 36, and the second inward-fold portion 37. The outward-fold portion 35 is orthogonal to the lower end 31. The first inward-fold portion 36 extends from the intersection 38 of the upper end 32 and the outward-fold portion 35, such that the first inward-fold portion 36 obliquely intersects the outward-fold portion 35 in the first direction. The second inward-fold portion 37 extends from the intersection 38 of the upper end 32 and the outward-fold portion 35, such that the second inward-fold portion 37 obliquely intersects the outward-fold portion 35 in the second direction differing from the first direction. With this structure, the fold 15 includes three bends.
[0053] Third Embodiment A roof flashing member 10 in accordance with a third embodiment will now be described with reference to Figs. 12 to 15. In the present embodiment, same reference characters are given to those components that are the same as the corresponding components of the first embodiment. Such components will not be described in detail.
[0054] The roof flashing member 10 includes a base 11, a first upstand 21, and a second upstand 22. The roof flashing member 10 is formed by bending a single component 30. In an unbent state (refer to Fig. 12), the component 30 has a linear lower end 31, and an upper end 32 parallel to the lower end 31. The lower end 31 of the component 30 includes a third lower end 31C. The upper end 32 of the component 30 includes a first upper end 32A.
[0055] As shown in Fig. 15, the base 11 includes a fold 15 folded so that the third lower end 31C of the component 30 intersects the first upper end 32A of the component 30. The fold 15 includes an inward-fold portion 41 that obliquely intersects the lower end 31 and the upper end 32. The fold 15 extends from the lower end 31 toward the upper end 32. In an example (refer to Fig. 12), in an unbent state of the component 30, the inwardfold portion 41 intersects the lower end 31 at a predetermined angle. The predetermined angle is between 30 degrees and 60 degrees, inclusive. The component 30 is folded along the inward-fold portion 41.
[0056] The base 11 includes a first plate section 11A and a second plate section 11B. The first plate section 11A extends obliquely downward from a base center line C in a mounted state. The second plate section 11B extends obliquely downward from the base center line C in a mounted state. The first plate section 11A and the second plate section 11B are symmetric with respect to the base center line C.
[0057] The first upstand 21 is formed by a bend in a portion of the component 30 including the third lower end 31C. The second upstand 22 is formed by a bend in a portion of the component 30 including the first upper end 32A.
[0058] Roof Flashing Member Forming Method A method for forming the roof flashing member 10 will now be described with reference to Figs. 12 to 15. As shown in Fig. 12, in a first step, a sixth line L6 indicating the inward-fold portion 41 is formed on a longitudinally intermediate part of the rectangular component 30.
[0059] As shown in Fig. 13, in a second step, the component 30 is folded inwardly along the sixth line L6. As a result, the third lower end 31C of the component 30 intersects the first upper end 32A. As shown in Fig. 14, in a third step, a third slit 43 is formed in the component 30 near the third lower end 31C, and a fourth slit 44 is formed in the component 30 near the first upper end 32A.
[0060] As shown in Fig. 15, in a fourth step, a portion of the component 30 including the third lower end 31C is bent to form the first upstand 21. Also, a portion of the component 30 including the first upper end 32A is bent to form the second upstand 22.
[0061] Advantages of the Present Embodiment The fold 15 of the base 11 is folded so that the third lower end 31C, which is a part of the lower end 31, intersects the first upper end 32A, which is a part of the upper end 32. The first upstand 21 is formed by a bend in a portion of the component 30 including the third lower end 31C. The second upstand 22 is formed by a bend in a portion of the component 30 including the first upper end 32A. With this structure, the fold 15 includes a single bend.
[0062] Fourth Embodiment A roof flashing member 10 in accordance with a third embodiment will now be described with reference to Figs. 16 to 18. In the present embodiment, same reference characters are given to those components that are the same as the corresponding components of the first embodiment. Such components will not be described in detail.
[0063] The roof flashing member 10 includes a base 11, a first upstand 21, and a second upstand 22. The roof flashing member 10 is formed by a first component 51 and a second component 52.
[0064] First Component The first component 51 includes the first upstand 21. The first upstand 21 is formed by a bend in the first component 51. More specifically, the first upstand 21 is formed by bending a portion of the first component 51 including a first lower end 51B. The first lower end 51B is part of a lower end 51A of the first component 51. The first upstand 21 includes an extension 53. The extension 53 is configured to overlap the second upstand 22. The extension 53 extends from a first side end 21A of the first upstand 21. In a state in which the first component 51 is joined to the second component 52, the first side end 21A of the first upstand 21 is located relatively close to the second upstand 22. The first component 51 further includes a first region R1 that overlaps the second component 52.
[0065] Second Component The second component 52 includes the second upstand 22. The second upstand 22 is formed by another bend in the second component 52. More specifically, the second upstand 22 is formed by bending a portion of the second component 52 including a second lower end 52B. The second lower end 52B is part of a lower end 52A. The second upstand 22 is configured to overlap the extension 53, which extends from the first upstand 21 (refer to Fig. 18). The extension 53 connects the first upstand 21 to the second upstand 22. The second component 52 further includes a second region R2 that overlaps the first component 51.
[0066] As shown in Fig. 18, the base 11 includes the first component 51 and the second component 52. More specifically, the base 11 includes a portion where the first region R1 of the first component 51 overlaps the second region R2 of the second component 52. The base 11 includes a first plate section 11A and a second plate section 11B. The first plate section 11A extends obliquely downward from a base center line C in a mounted state. The second plate section 11B extends obliquely downward from the base center line C in a mounted state. The first plate section 11A and the second plate section 11B are symmetric with respect to the base center line C.
[0067] Roof Flashing Member Forming Method A method for forming the roof flashing member 10 will now be described with reference to Figs. 16 to 18. As shown in Fig. 16, in a first step, a strip of rectangular plate member is divided into two parts, namely, the first component 51 and the second component 52. A fifth slit 55 is formed in a portion of the first component 51 that corresponds to the extension 53. Then, a portion of the first component 51 corresponding to the first lower end 51B is bent to form the first upstand 21 and the extension 53. Subsequently, a portion of the lower end 51A that does not correspond to the first upstand 21 and the extension 53 is folded backward.
[0068] As shown in Fig. 17, in a second step, a portion of the rectangular second component 52 corresponding to the second lower end 52B is bent to form the second upstand 22. Then, a portion of the lower end 52A that does not correspond to the second upstand 22 is folded backward.
[0069] As shown in Fig. 18, in a third step, the first region R1 of the first component 51 is placed upon the second region R2 of the second component 52, so that the first upstand 21 intersects the second upstand 22. Then, the first region R1 of the first component 51 is joined to the second region R2 of the second component 52 by a joining means. Further, the extension 53 extending from the first upstand 21 is joined to the second upstand 22 by a joining means. Examples of the joining means may include bonding by an adhesive, welding, brazing, coupling by a rivet, or the like.
[0070] Advantages of the Present Embodiment (1) In the roof flashing member 10, the first upstand 21 is formed by a bend in the first component 51. The second upstand 22 is formed by another bend in the second component 52. The base 11 includes the first component 51 and the second component 52. With this structure, the roof flashing member 10 is formed by the first component 51 and the second component 52. Such a roof flashing member 10 has relatively few bends, thereby improving the dimensional accuracy. The roof flashing member 10 is formed by joining the rectangular first component 51, which has a relatively simple shape, and the rectangular second component 52, which also has a relatively simple shape. This minimizes the amount of waste materials.
[0071] (2) The extension 53 extends from the first upstand 21, and connects the first upstand 21 to the second upstand 22. This avoids water leakage through a gap between the first upstand 21 and the second upstand 22.
[0072] Modified Examples The above embodiments exemplify, without any intention to limit, applicable forms of the roof flashing member 10 and the roof 1. The roof flashing member 10 and the roof 1 may be modified from the embodiments described above. For example, the structures of the above embodiments may be replaced, changed, omitted in part, or include additional elements. Modified examples of the above embodiments will now be described below.
[0073] In each embodiment, the roof flashing member 10 may be manufactured at a factory. Alternatively, the roof flashing member 10 may be prepared by a technician at a construction site of a building. In each embodiment, the order of bending or folding is not particularly limited. For example, in the first embodiment, bending to form the first upstand 21 and the second upstand 22 may be performed before other outward folding or inward folding.
