[0001] The present disclosure relates to furniture accessories. Specifically, the present disclosure relates to furniture accessories including a beverage holder and electrical features such as connections, controls, and chargers.
[0002] Over the years, developments in technology-enabled furniture have transformed the concept of a smart home into a practical reality. Furniture equipped with information transmission and control component technology continues to replace traditional furniture items that lack the technical functionality and aesthetic qualities that are desired in today’s developing smart home. The furniture accessory of claim 4, wherein:the body second surface is lower than the body first surface in the vertical direction; andin a state in which the controller is coupled to the accessory body, the controller second surface is lower than the controller first surface in the vertical direction.

The furniture accessory of claim 6, wherein:the body second surface is lower than the body first surface in the vertical direction; andin a state in which the controller is coupled to the accessory body, the controller second surface is lower than the controller first surface in the vertical direction.
8. The furniture accessory of claim 1, wherein the movable plate further comprises a charging element configured to charge a user device via electromagnetic induction.
9. The furniture accessory of claim 1, wherein the accessory body is configured to electrically charge the controller when the controller is coupled to the accessory body.
10. The furniture accessory of claim 1, wherein the controller is configured to communicate with the accessory body via wireless communication.
11. A furniture item comprising:a function unit; anda furniture accessory comprising:an accessory body;a controller detachably coupled to the accessory body; anda receptacle extending through the accessory body in a vertical direction and defining a cavity within the receptacle, the receptacle comprising a movable plate provided within the cavity;wherein the controller is configured to control a position of the movable plate in the vertical direction; andthe controller is configured to control operation of the function unit.
12. The furniture item of claim 11, wherein the function unit comprises at least one of a reclining mechanism, a massage mechanism, a temperature control mechanism, a light system, or a sound system.
13. The furniture item of claim 11, wherein the controller comprises a plurality of user inputs configured to control the position of the movable plate in the vertical direction and the functional module.
14. The furniture item of claim 11, wherein:2025201771 12 Mar 2025the receptacle comprises a receptacle upper rim surface;the movable plate comprises a plate surface; andin a state in which the movable plate is at an upper position limit in the vertical direction, the plate surface is substantially coplanar with the receptacle upper rim surface of the receptacle.

The furniture item of claim 14, wherein:the accessory body comprises a body first surface and a body second surface displaced from the body first surface in the vertical direction;the controller comprises a controller first surface and a controller second surface displaced from the controller first surface in the vertical direction; andin a state in which the movable plate is at an upper position limit in the vertical direction and the controller is coupled to the accessory body, the plate surface is substantially coplanar with the receptacle upper rim surface, the body first surface, and the controller first surface.

The furniture item of claim 11, wherein:the movable plate comprises a plate surface;the accessory body comprises a body first surface and a body second surface displaced from the body first surface in the vertical direction;the controller comprises a controller first surface and a controller second surface displaced from the controller first surface in the vertical direction; andin a state in which the movable plate is at an upper position limit in the vertical direction and the controller is coupled to the accessory body, the plate surface is substantially coplanar with the body first surface, and the controller first surface.

The furniture item of claim 16, wherein:the body second surface is lower than the body first surface in the vertical direction; and in a state in which the controller is coupled to the accessory body, the controller second surface is lower than the controller first surface in the vertical direction.
18. The furniture item of claim 11, wherein the movable plate further comprises a charging element configured to charge a user device via electromagnetic induction.
19. The furniture item of claim 11, wherein the accessory body is configured to electrically charge the controller when the controller is coupled to the accessory body.
20. The furniture item of claim 11, wherein the controller is configured to communicate with the accessory body via wireless communication.
