Abstract

A color library system is disclosed. It comprises a binder having a binding part; a flexible color palette sheet (10) having a connection part (11) for an optionally detachable insertion into the binding part of the binder; optionally a front cover of the binder being attached such at the binding part that it can be flipped open; and optionally a back cover of the binder, wherein the flexible color palette sheet (10) is made of a flexible substrate, and multiple color samples (100) for illustrating colors corresponding to respective color codes (100a), said multiple color samples (100) being attached on a side of the flexible color palette sheet (10), and said color codes (100a) being indicated on the flexible color palette sheet (10) at the corresponding color samples (100). Furthermore, a flexible color palette sheet (10) for this color library system is disclosed.

[0005] Conventional color library systems typically use ring binders often holding a large plurality of color palette sheets with multiple color samples attached to these color palette sheets. For these conventional color library systems, the color palette sheets are made of rigid materials like rigid cardboard materials or rigid plastic materials. By such a configuration, these color palette sheets of rigid materials allow for a stable storage. However, a direct comparison of these color samples with other objects or materials can be cumbersome.

[0007] Therefore, an object of the present invention is to facilitate the handling for comparisons of the color samples arranged on color palette sheets.

[0008] The problem of the present invention is solved by a color library system according to the independent claim 1 as well as by a flexible color palette sheet for the color library system according to the independent claim 7.

[0009] According to a first aspect of the present invention, a color library system comprises a binder having a binding part; a flexible color palette sheet having a connection part for an insertion into the binding part of the binder; optionally a front cover of the binder being attached such at the binding part that it can be flipped open; and optionally a back cover of the binder. The flexible color palette sheet is made of a flexible substrate, and multiple color samples for illustrating colors corresponding to respective color codes are attached on a side of the flexible color palette sheet, wherein said color codes are indicated on the flexible color palette sheet at the corresponding color samples.

[0010] According to a second aspect of the present invention, for the color library system according to the first aspect, an adhesive is used for attaching said multiple color samples on the side of the flexible color palette sheet. Preferably, in one embodiment in case the substrate is a textile, the adhesive is a textile adhesive, and more preferably it is a pressuresensitive textile adhesive, and even more preferably it is a permanent pressure-sensitive textile adhesive. Preferably, the adhesive, in particular the textile adhesive is a polyurethanereactive adhesive, or a polyvinyl acetate fabric glue or a polyurethane fabric adhesive or a silicon fabric adhesive. In particular, the adhesive can be a hot melt adhesive. Preferably the hot melt adhesive comprises or consists of a ethylene vinyl acetate copolymer. The multiple color samples may also be stitched to the side of the flexible color palette sheet.

[0029] The color library system comprises a ring binder 1 with a binding part 2 for accommodating flexible color palette sheets 10. The ring binder 1 comprises further a front cover 3 and a back cover 4. The flexible color palette sheet 10 can be detachably inserted into the binding part 2 of the ring binder 1. Accordingly, it can easily be removed for its respective use. The flexible color palette sheet 10 is made of a flexible material, which can be a flexible textile. The flexible textile has the advantage of a higher endurance for folding improving the durability or lifetime of the product.

[0030] Furthermore, a plurality of color samples 100 are attached on one side of the flexible color palette sheet 10, the of color samples 100 illustrating colors corresponding to respective color codes 100a, which are indicated at the respective color samples 100. The flexible color palette sheet 10 has a rectangular shape, while the color samples 100 have a square shape being arranged in n rows and m column, with n and m being integers greater than one. This flexibility allows to bring the envisaged color sample 100 on the flexible color palette sheet 10 in a closest vicinity to the envisaged locations on the objects for an improved comparison of the colors or for an improved illustration of the envisaged color on the envisaged location on the objects. This facilitated illustration or comparison can be of interest for large or complex objects, and in particular for rigid objects.

Claims

Claims1. A color library system comprising: a binder having a binding part ; a flexible color palette sheet (10) having a connection part for a insertion into the binding part of the binder; optionally a front cover of the binder being attached such at the binding part that it can be flipped open; and optionally a back cover of the binder, wherein the flexible color palette sheet (10) is made of a flexible substrate, and multiple color samples (100) for illustrating colors corresponding to respective color codes (100a), said multiple color samples (100) being attached on a side of the flexible color palette sheet (10), and said color codes (100a) being indicated on the flexible color palette sheet (10) at the corresponding color samples (100).

2. The color library system according to claim 1 , wherein an adhesive is used for attaching said multiple color samples (100) on the side of the flexible color palette sheet (10).

The color library system according to claim 1 or 2, wherein at least one material component of the flexible substrate is a flexible textile selected from a fabric group comprising woven, nonwoven, or knit and material type of cotton, polyester, polyamide or another flexible textile; and / or a flexible plastic; and / or a flexible paper; and / or at least one material component of the color samples (100) is selected from a fabric group comprising woven, nonwoven, or knit and material type of cotton, polyester, polyamide or another flexible textile; or from a stiff or flexible plastic; or from a stiff or flexible paper.

4. The color library system according to anyone of the claims 1 to 3, wherein the flexible color palette sheet (10) has a flexibility allowing it to be folded completely upon itself.

The color library system according to anyone of the claims 1 to 4, wherein the flexible color palette sheet (10) has a first rectangular shape and the multiple color samples (100) have a second rectangular shape, said multiple color samples (100) being attached on the side of the flexible color palette sheet (10) in a regular arrangement having m lines and n columns, m and n being positive integers.

6. The color library system according to anyone of the claims 1 to 5, whereinthe multiple color samples (100) are fixedly attached on the side of the flexible color palette sheet (10); and / or the multiple color samples (100) are attached on both sides of the flexible color palette sheet (10).

The color library system according to at least one of the claims 1 to 6, wherein the binder is designed as a ring binder (1), having a binding part (2), wherein the flexible color palette sheet (10) has a connection part (11) for a detachable insertion into the binding part (2) of the ring binder (1).

A flexible color palette sheet (10) for a color library system according to one of the preceding claims, wherein the flexible color palette sheet (10) is made of a flexible substrate, and multiple color samples (100) for illustrating colors corresponding to respective color codes (100a) are attached on a side of the flexible color palette sheet (10), said color codes (100a) being indicated on the flexible color palette sheet (10) at the corresponding color samples (100).

9. The flexible color palette sheet (10) according to claim 8, wherein an adhesive is used for attaching said multiple color samples (100) on the side of the flexible color palette sheet (10).

The flexible color palette sheet (10) according to claim 8 or 9, wherein at least one material component of the flexible substrate is a flexible textile selected from a fabric group comprising woven, nonwoven, or knit and material type of cotton, polyester, polyamide or another flexible textile; and / or a flexible plastic; and / or a flexible paper; and / or at least one material component of the color samples (100) is selected from the fabric group comprising woven, nonwoven, or knit and material type of cotton, polyester, polyamide or another flexible textile; or from a stiff or flexible plastic; or from a stiff or flexible paper.

11. The flexible color palette sheet (10) according to anyone of the claims 8 to 10, wherein the flexible color palette sheet (10) has a flexibility allowing it to be folded completely upon itself.

The flexible color palette sheet (10) according to anyone of the claims 8 to 11 , wherein the flexible color palette sheet (10) has a first rectangular shape and the multiple color samples (100) have a second rectangular shape, said multiple color samples (100) being attached on the side of the flexible color palette sheet (10) in a regular arrangement having m lines and n columns, m and n being positive integers.

The flexible color palette sheet (10) according to anyone of the claims 8 to 12, wherein the multiple color samples (100) are fixedly attached on the side of the flexible color palette sheet (10); and / or the multiple color samples (100) are attached on both sides of the flexible color palette sheet (10).
