Abstract
Description
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[001] The present invention relates to card gaming method, systems and apparatus, specifically to a progressive wagering card game including multi-stage gameplay with structured decision points and risk interruption events. The invention is applicable across physical and virtual gaming platforms, including casinos, web-based systems, mobile applications, desktop applications, a cloudbased gaming system, augmented reality environments, virtual reality environments, and entertainment venues. BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[002] Casino games such as blackjack, roulette, and poker have remained staples in gambling establishments for decades. Among these, Blackjack has been well-known in casinos around the world for generations. Traditionally, players compete against a dealer, attempting to achieve a hand total closer to twenty-one without exceeding it. The game is governed by fixed rules, particularly for the dealer who must draw, or stand based on their hand total. While the house retains a mathematical advantage in the long run, structural decisions by players can influence individual outcomes.
[003] Over the years, numerous variations of Blackjack and other card games have been introduced to maintain excitement and broaden player engagement. Beyond Blackjack, games like Texas Hold 'Em and Poker have gained widespread popularity due to their established hand ranking structures, strategic depth, and dynamic betting rounds. These games often involve multiple wagering opportunities and player-versus-player competition, making them attractive in both physical and online gaming environments. Some variations further introduce potsplitting mechanics, encouraging diverse strategic play. However, existing games are often limited to their designs and method of play. In particular, they lack opportunities for structured decision points or risk interruption events that can add a layer of unpredictability by terminating all ongoing wagers.
[004] Innovations in hardware and digital technology have further enabled these modern games to be implemented in both physical casino tables and virtual 2025226732 15 Aug 2026 platforms, including desktop applications, mobile devices, and immersive environments such as augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR). Games that integrate visually distinct interfaces, multiple side bet options, and flexible payout structures are particularly appealing to operators seeking high replay value and to players seeking novelty and engagement.
[005] In recent years, the demand for greater variety, faster gameplay, and more interactive formats, particularly from younger and digital-native audiences, has led to the development of new card-based wagering games.
[006] Accordingly, there exists a need for a progressive wagering card game that combines traditional gameplay elements with innovative features such as optional side bets, escalating reward stages, structured decisions by players, and randomized risk interruption events. The present invention addresses this need by offering a unique game structure suitable for both physical and virtual deployment, delivering an engaging, replayable, and strategically rich experience. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[007] The present invention relates to a progressive wagering card game that encompasses both method and system implementations, along with specialized apparatus configurations for conducting the game in physical and virtual environments.
[008] In an aspect of the invention, the progressive wagering mechanism maintains continuous player engagement by preserving the initial wager's validity throughout multiple prediction cycles. This wager progression structure eliminates the need for repeated betting inputs while maximizing the psychological impact of each structured decision.
[009] In another aspect of the invention, the risk interruption event functions as a game-wide reset mechanism that introduces communal risk sharing among all active players, wherein the appearance of a designated card simultaneously affects every ongoing game sequence regardless of individual player performance or game progression. This collective vulnerability creates a shared gaming experience that transcends individual player isolation.
[0010] In a further aspect of the invention, the structured decision point operates as an intelligent risk management tool that presents an opportunity to the 2025226732 15 Aug 2026 player to dynamically select available choices to maintain optimal risk-reward ratios throughout the progression sequence.
[0011] In yet another aspect of the invention, the side betting architecture functions as an auxiliary revenue stream that operates parallel to, but independent of, the main wagering sequence, allowing players to diversify their risk exposure across multiple simultaneous prediction opportunities without interfering with primary game progression.
[0012] In an additional aspect of the invention, the multi-platform deployment capability enables seamless transition of gameplay mechanics across physical and digital environments through standardized rule sets and interface protocols, ensuring consistent player experience regardless of implementation medium while maintaining platform-specific optimization features.
[0013] In a further aspect of the invention, the dealer interface provides centralized control mechanisms that coordinate multiple simultaneous player sequences while maintaining real-time monitoring of game states, wager statuses, and risk interruption event triggers through a unified management protocol.
[0014] In a still further aspect of the invention, the customizable game parameter system allows for real-time adjustment of fundamental game mechanics including payout ratios, game progression requirements, and risk interruption event frequency, enabling dynamic game balancing based on player behaviour patterns and operational requirements.
[0015] In yet a further aspect of the invention, the apparatus configuration provides specialized physical components including dedicated wager input zones, side bet interfaces, and card placement zones that are strategically positioned and visually distinct to prevent player confusion and ensure optimal workflow efficiency during multi-player gaming sessions.
[0016] In another further aspect of the invention, the virtual deployment module translates all physical gaming components into digital representations while preserving tactile feedback mechanisms and visual cues that maintain the authentic gaming experience across web-based platforms, mobile applications, desktop applications, cloud-based gaming systems, augmented reality systems, virtual reality environments and any other online or networked environment capable of hosting interactive gameplay. 2025226732 15 Aug 2026
[0017] In a final aspect of the invention, the rule and payout database architecture enables real-time computation and adjustment of complex mathematical relationships between stage progression, winnings, risk factors, and payout multipliers, providing dynamic game balancing that responds to changing player behaviour and market conditions. [0019] For the purpose of promoting an understanding of the principles of the disclosure, reference will now be made to the embodiment illustrated in the figures and specific language will be used to describe them. It will nevertheless be understood that no limitation of the scope of the disclosure is thereby intended. Such alterations and further modifications in the illustrated system, and such further applications of the principles of the disclosure as would normally occur to those skilled in the art are to be construed as being within the scope of the present disclosure.
[0020] The terms "comprises", "comprising", or any other variations thereof, are intended to cover a non-exclusive inclusion, such that a process or method that comprises a list of steps does not include only those steps but may include other steps not expressly listed or inherent to such a process or method. Similarly, one or more devices or sub-systems or elements or structures or components preceded by "comprises" does not, without more constraints, preclude the existence of other devices, sub-systems, elements, structures, components, additional devices, additional sub-systems, additional elements, additional structures, or additional components. Appearances of the phrase "in an embodiment", "in another embodiment" and similar language throughout this specification may, but not necessarily do, all refer to the same embodiment.
[0021] Unless otherwise defined, all technical and scientific terms used herein have the same meaning as commonly understood by those skilled in the art to which this disclosure belongs. The system, methods, and examples provided herein are only illustrative and not intended to be limiting.
[0022] In the following specification and the claims, reference will be made to a number of terms, which shall be defined to have the following meanings. The singular forms “a”, “an”, and “the” include plural references unless the context clearly dictates otherwise.
[0023] As used herein, the term “game” refers to the complete instance of the progressive wagering card game played by one or more players under a predefined set of rules and parameters. A game begins with the initiation of main wagers (and 2025226732 15 Aug 2026 any optional side wagers) and proceeds through a sequence of one or more game stages or rounds, each stage further involves a card draw, resolution of wagers, and structured decision points. The game concludes for a given player upon the occurrence of one of the following: (i) the player elects to cash out winnings, either fully or partially; (ii) the player loses the main wager due to an incorrect prediction; (iii) the player’s wager is terminated by a risk interruption event; or (iv) the player completes all predefined stages or rounds and collects the final payout. Accordingly, the game encompasses the full progression cycle of play, including all wagers’ predictions, card draws, structured decision points, and termination conditions applicable to the participating players.
[0024] As used herein, the term “game stage” or “stage” or “game round” or “round” refers to a discrete step of the progressive wagering card game, the first game stage begins with the placement of initial main wagers (and any optional side wagers) by one or more players and proceeding through a sequence of successive game stages. The stage or round further includes step of drawing of a card from the deck, displayed in the card placement zone, and determining the outcome of the player’s prediction for that stage. Each game stage corresponds to a predefined payout tier within the progression sequence. At the conclusion of a game stage, winning or losing side wagers are resolved, and players with active main wagers may advance to the next round. If the player’s prediction is correct, the game stage further culminates in a structured decision point, where the player may elect to cash out, partially cash out, continue to a subsequent stage with the initial main wager, or modify the wager prediction. Thus, a game stage represents one iteration of wager prediction, card dealing, wager resolution, and decision-making within the overall round of play.
[0025] As used herein, the term “player” refers to any singular, plural, individual or entity engaging with the progressive wagering card game described in this invention, whether physically co-located or remotely connected through virtual or networked environments. A player may participate in person at a gaming venue or digitally via web-based platforms, mobile applications, desktop applications, a cloud-based gaming system, an augmented reality (AR) platform, a virtual reality (VR) platform, or any other online or networked environment capable of hosting interactive gameplay. Players may act independently or in coordination with others in multi-user embodiments. Each player interacts with the game by placing wagers, 2025226732 15 Aug 2026 making predictions, and responding to structured decision points. The term also encompasses passive players (e.g., observers or test users) and simulated agents (e.g., Artificial Intelligence (AI) controlled players in training or demonstration modes). As used herein, the terms player and participant are interpreted broadly to include any user, agent, or entity interacting with or affected by the game’s rules, mechanics, or outcomes.
[0026] As used herein, the term “deck of cards” or “card deck” or “deck” refers to one or more collections of playing cards used in the wagering card game. The deck may include a standard 52-card deck, a Spanish deck, or custom decks with additional cards such as jokers or dealer’s or specially designated risk interruption cards. Multiple decks may be used concurrently to increase randomness or game complexity. Each deck may be physical (paper-based or plastic or any other material) or virtual (digitally simulated within software or in an Artificial Intelligence environment). The cards within the deck may be shuffled manually or via automated shuffling mechanisms. Cards are drawn from the deck during gameplay to determine prediction outcomes. The composition of the deck may vary depending on game rules and desired probability distributions.
[0027] As used herein, the term “card attribute” refers to any identifiable characteristic or property of a playing card that can be used as the basis for a player prediction or game outcome determination. Card attributes may include, but are not limited to, rank (e.g., Ace, 2-10, Jack, Queen, King), suit (e.g., hearts, diamonds, clubs, spades), colour (e.g., red or black), parity (odd or even), value range (e.g., high vs. low cards), face status (face card or number card), or any combination thereof. In digital or specialized decks, card attributes may also include gamespecific symbols, or classifications. The card attribute is determinable upon drawing or revealing the card and serves as the basis for validating player predictions and progressing gameplay.
[0028] As used herein, the term “dealer’s interface” refers to any physical, graphical, or electronic medium through which the dealer interacts with and operates the wagering card game. The interface enables dealer input (e.g., dealing cards, confirming outcomes, managing wagers), provides operational controls, and displays real-time game status and player activity. The dealer’s interface includes designated regions for a chip rack; card handling devices which may include manual card holders, card shoes, automatic shufflers, or continuous shuffle 2025226732 15 Aug 2026 machines; a money drop drawer; and a discard tray for spent cards. The dealer’s interface may also include mechanical controls, touchscreens, or graphical user interfaces (GUIs) accessible via computers, tablets, or dealer terminals. The dealer’s interface may also incorporate advanced technologies for streamlined game management. It facilitates actions such as resolving wagers, verifying predictions, initiating cash-out options, and progressing through game stages.
[0029] As used herein, the term “player’s interface” refers to any physical, graphical, or electronic medium through which a player interacts with the wagering card game. The interface enables player input (e.g., wagers, decisions), provides visual or tactile feedback, and displays real-time game information. It may include areas on a physical table, mechanical buttons, touchscreens, or graphical user interfaces (GUIs) on digital devices such as smartphones, computers, tablets, augmented reality environments, virtual reality environments, etc. The player’s interface includes at least one betting station. Each betting station includes at least one slot to place main bets or main wagers and one or more slots to place side bets or side wagers. The player interface may also comprise immersive technologies, such as augmented or virtual reality systems, supporting gesture, gaze, or controllerbased input. It facilitates actions such as placing bets, making predictions, making decisions and selecting payout options, while offering feedback via visual, auditory, or haptic cues. The player interface may be integrated with the game engine to track player status and decisions across physical, digital, or hybrid gameplay environments.
[0030] As used herein, the term “main wager” or “main bet” refers to the initial bet placed by a player at the commencement of the progressive wagering game, which remains active and applicable across multiple consecutive game stages in the progressive wagering card game. The main wager is carried forward from one stage to the next, subject to player decisions and game outcomes, until it is either fully withdrawn by the player, lost due to an incorrect prediction, terminated by the occurrence of a risk interruption event, or retained through completion of all predefined stages. The main wager determines a player’s ongoing participation in the progressive sequence. The amount of the main wager may be fixed at the start or modified at designated structured decision points, allowing partial cash-out, full cash-out, or reallocation to alternative prediction choices. In a physical gaming environment, the main wager may be represented by chips, tokens, or cash placed 2025226732 15 Aug 2026 in a designated main wager zone, while in a virtual or online environment, the main wager may be represented by credit units, digital currency, or other electronic wagering indicators placed via a graphical user interface in an electronic, online, networked, augmented reality (AR), or virtual reality (VR) gaming environment.
[0031] As used herein, the term “side wager” or ‘side bet”, refers to one or more optional wagers placed by a player on specific card attributes or game events that are independent of, and do not affect, the outcome or continuation of the main wager in the progressive wagering card game. Side bets may be offered before the commencement of each game stage during gameplay but are valid only while the main wager remains active. Each side bet is resolved separately from the main wager at the conclusion of each round or stage, based on predefined criteria such as the appearance of a particular card suit, card colour, card rank, an Ace, a Joker, or a dealer-designated special card. Side bets have no bearing on game continuation. The resolution of a side bet is accompanied by a payout or loss in accordance with predetermined payout odds decided by the game creator or stored in the game’s rules database. In a physical gaming environment, the side bets may be represented by chips, tokens, or cash placed in a designated main wager zone, while in a virtual or online environment, the side bets may be represented by credit units, digital currency, or other electronic wagering indicators placed via a graphical user interface in an electronic, online, networked, augmented reality (AR), or virtual reality (VR) gaming environment.
[0032] As used herein, the term “risk interruption event” refers to a predefined event within the wagering card game that overrides normal gameplay outcomes and results in the automatic termination or forfeiture of active wagers, regardless of the player’s prior choices or game progression. Typically, the risk interruption event is triggered by the appearance of a specially designated card, such as a “Dealer’s Card,” which may be a Joker, an Ace, or any card value that is pre-determined at the beginning of a game. When such a card is drawn during gameplay, it is treated as a non-standard outcome (e.g., neither Red nor Black), and not part of any conventional suit, thereby negating all main wagers and, optionally, associated side bets, and initiating a complete reset of the current game. The risk interruption event introduces a disruptive, high-stakes element that adds uncertainty, tension, and dynamic pacing to the gameplay, enhancing both the psychological engagement of players and the statistical variance available to the game operator. In digital or 2025226732 15 Aug 2026 virtual implementations, the risk interruption event may also be programmatically generated by the game engine under predetermined conditions, such as a drawing of random card or threshold-based trigger. This mechanism serves both as a gamebalancing feature and a tool for managing house edge, volatility, and player retention across game sessions.
[0033] As used herein, the term “structured decision points” refers to specific, predefined moments during the progression of the wagering card game at which a player is presented with one or more gameplay options that directly influence the continuation and potential outcome of their main wager. These decision points occur following the successful prediction of a card attribute (such as colour, suit, rank, etc.), at which time the player becomes eligible to choose among actions including, but not limited to: cashing out their winnings at the current pay-out tier, continuing to play by predicting the next card attribute, switching their selected outcome (e.g., from Red to Black and vis-a-vis), or performing a partial cash-out (e.g., withdrawing 50% of their bet while continuing with the remaining 50% in play or withdrawing 20% of their bet while continuing with the remaining 80% in play, etc).
[0034] Structured decision points are integral to the progressive gameplay model, as they introduce a layer of strategic choice that balances risk and reward, enabling players to either lock in gains or pursue escalating multipliers with increased exposure. These decision points may be implemented physically through dealer prompts or table markers or digitally, via interactive graphical interfaces in mobile, desktop, or virtual gaming environments. It serves not only to enhance player agency and engagement but also to define the branching architecture of the game logic within both in-person and software-based embodiments of the invention.
[0035] As used herein, the term “card placement zone” or “card placement area” refers to a designated physical or virtual zone within the gaming environment where drawn cards are placed and displayed in sequential order throughout the progression of the wagering card game. This area functions as a centralized visual reference for players and the dealer, ensuring transparency, traceability, and clarity of game outcomes.
[0036] In physical embodiments, the card placement zone may be a clearly marked section on a game board, layout surface, or card tray, where cards are 2025226732 15 Aug 2026 arranged in a visible sequence corresponding to gameplay stages or pay-out tiers. In digital implementations, it is rendered as an interactive or non-interactive display region within the user interface, adapted to reflect the order, status, and significance of drawn cards.
[0037] The card placement zone may include visual indicators to distinguish between standard cards and special cards such as those triggering risk interruption events and may be subdivided to represent different game phases or outcomes. This area supports structured decision making by maintaining a real-time visual context of gameplay and serves as a critical component of both physical and software-based embodiments of the invention, enhancing game clarity and operational integrity.
[0038] As used herein, the term “payout tier” refers to a predefined reward level of the progressive wagering card game at which a successful main wager yields a payout according to an associated multiplier or odds ratio. Each correct prediction advances the player to the next payout tier, with increasing rewards. The payout tiers may follow an exponential model, such as Mn = 2n for colour-based predictions or Mn = 4n, where n is the reward index. Alternative embodiments may employ linear, stepped, or custom-defined payout structures, including special rewards for designated cards (e.g., Aces, Jokers, or dealer-specified cards). Accordingly, payout tiers function as progressive reward checkpoints that balance the risk-reward structure of the game, incentivise continued player engagement, and provide transparent reference points for both players and operators.
[0039] As used herein, the term “game creator” refers to an entity, either a configurable module implemented in software, hardware, or a combination thereof, or a human individual, responsible for defining, configuring, and modifying the operational structure of a progressive wagering card game. The game creator establishes the foundational parameters of gameplay, including but not limited to wagering limits, payout structures, game speed, stage progression, house edge, and the inclusion or frequency of special events such as risk interruption triggers. When implemented as a system module, the game creator may be accessed via a dealer interface, game management console, or administrative control panel, enabling real-time or pre-game adjustments suitable for various physical or virtual gaming environments. When implemented as a human operator, the game creator may design or configure these parameters through manual inputs or system setup procedures. In either form, the game creator serves as the authoritative source for 2025226732 15 Aug 2026 defining gameplay logic and is distinct from passive players or automated game engines that merely execute pre-established rules without authorial control.
[0040] As used herein, the term “house-edge” refers to the mathematically calculated advantage, or odds advantage, that the game operator, casino, or host system retains over players across multiple plays of the progressive wagering card game. The house edge represents the long-term average gross profit that the operator can reliably expect to make from each game, typically expressed as a percentage of the total wagers placed.
[0041] The house edge is determined by the predefined rules, payout structure, and probabilities of winning outcomes for both the main wager and any optional side bets.
[0042] In certain embodiments, the house-edge may be configured by a dealer, game creator, or automated game management unit prior to game deployment, and may be applied uniformly across all game stages or dynamically adjusted based on factors such as stage difficulty, payout multipliers, or the occurrence of risk interruption events. The house edge may also be varied according to game mode, platform, or regulatory requirements, and is stored within the system’s rules and payout database for consistent application during gameplay.
[0043] Referring to the Figure 1, a game board (100) suitable for use in a playing progressive card game in accordance with the present invention is provided. This game board incorporates a dealer’s interface (101) which comprises designated regions for the chip rack (102), the placement card handling device (103) including but not limited to a card shoe; shuffling apparatus which may include manual card holders, automatic shufflers, or continuous shuffle machines; a money drop drawer (104) for cash management; and a discard tray (105) for spent cards. The game board also includes a card placement zone (107). The card placement zone (107) comprises one or more card slots which serve to hold each sequentially drawn card, starting from the lowest multiplier and progressing to the highest as the game advances through its stages. The card placement zone (107) may comprise joker or dealer-designated special card slot (108) as exemplified in Figure 3. The game board (100) may further comprise an electronic control unit (106).
[0044] In an embodiment, the game board (100) is a physical component configured for deployment in a physical game format encompassed within the scope of this invention. In another embodiment, the game board (100) is rendered virtually 2025226732 15 Aug 2026 within a graphical user interface of any virtual platform encompassed within the scope of this invention, wherein the dealer’s interface, player’s interface, and card placement zones are represented as interactive digital elements corresponding to their physical counterparts. In an embodiment, the electronic control unit (106) is configured to perform one or more game management functions, including but not limited to tracking wagers, managing payout calculations, detecting risk interruption events, recording player decisions at structured decision points, and communicating with peripheral devices such as display systems or automated shufflers. The control unit (106) may be implemented as an integrated circuit board, a modular computing module, or a network-connected terminal.
[0045] In certain embodiments, the electronic control unit (106) is optional, enabling the game board (100) to operate in a fully manual mode where all game functions are performed by the dealer without automated control. When present, the electronic control unit (106) may also interface with a central casino management system or a remote gaming server for real-time monitoring, data storage, and regulatory compliance purposes.
[0046] In an embodiment, the direction of game progression may be decided by the game creator at the start of each game, The game board (100) may also include an area dedicated to display pay-out values, instructions for playing games, etc. (not shown in figure), Opposite to the dealer's interface (101), one or more player’s interface (109) may be marked. The player’s interface includes at least one betting zone (110) (Figure 2.). Each betting station includes at least one main wager betting zone (111). The layout also supports a variety of side betting options. The betting station may include one or more zones to place side bets (112).
[0047] In an embodiment, the game board (100) may be provided with an area displaying suggested pay-out ratios for side bets along with a summary of essential gameplay rules to guide new players. [0048] Referring to Figure 2, the figure illustrates the betting station (110). The main wager or initial wager can be placed in a zone (111) for main bets, while side bets are placed in zone (112). This is merely an example; the configuration of the betting station may vary depending on the preferences or settings defined by the game creator. 2025226732 15 Aug 2026
[0049] Referring to Figure 3, it depicts a simplified layout of the game board (100), illustrating primary player positions, main wagers betting zones (111), and a centrally positioned Joker or dealer-designated special card slot (108) configured to trigger risk interruption events. The Joker or dealer-designated special card slot illustrated in this figure may correspond to or be integrated with the game board layout shown in Figure 1.
[0050] Referring to Figure 4, it illustrates an alternative game board (100) layout similar to Figure 3. Figures 3 and 4 demonstrate variations in the placement of betting areas, reflecting different possible configurations within the scope of the invention.
[0051] In one embodiment, the game board (100) includes one or more adjustable betting options, which may be moved vertically or laterally by the dealer or players. A player may place the main wager in the betting zone (111), as illustrated in Figures. 3 and 4.
[0052] Referring to Figure 5, it provides a flowchart illustrating one embodiment of a method (500) for playing a progressive wagering game.
[0053] The method (500) begins at the step 501, with players placing their main wagers at the specified zones (502). The main wagers are locked once all players have placed their respective bets. In addition to the main wagers, players are optionally provided with the opportunity to place side bets at the specified zones. These side bets are independent wagers that may be placed prior to the dealing of each card and are resolved separately at the end of each stage.
[0054] Once the betting step concludes, the dealer proceeds to step 503, wherein a first card is dealt face-up. The dealer places the first card face-up on the first card slot on the card placement zone. This card determines the outcome of both main wagers (step 504) and side bets (step 505) for the current stage.
[0055] In the subsequent steps, the dealer resolves wagers by collecting all losing side bets (step 505a), and by paying out all winning side bets (step 505b). For instance, if the card dealt is the Queen of Diamonds, all main wagers not corresponding to red or diamonds are collected as losses, and any side bets on diamonds are paid out. Further, if the main wager does not match with player’s prediction, the dealer collects the losing main wager (step 504a), and the game ends for the respective player (step 513). The game continues for the remaining players who have won the main wager. 2025226732 15 Aug 2026
[0056] If the card has been placed in the final card slot on the card placement zone (step 506), the dealer pays out the winning main wager to the respective player (step 507), and the game concludes at step 513 for the respective player. If the dealt card is not the final card, players whose main wagers have survived or won, proceed to a structured decision point at step 508. At this point (step 508), each eligible player may choose to cash out their full main wager (step 509) at the payout level associated with the current card tier. Players who choose to cash out have their main wagers resolved accordingly, and their participation in the main wagering game concludes at step 513 and do not participate further in the main wagering sequence.
[0057] In one embodiment, players may alternatively choose to remain in the game and continue to the next card tier in pursuit of a higher payout with full main wager (step 510). In certain embodiments, at step 511, players may optionally be permitted to cash out partial winning main wager and continue with the remaining main wager towards subsequent progression. Following players’ decisions, dealer pays out partial winning main wager and players continue with partial main wager.
[0058] For players who elect to continue either with full main wager or partial main wager, the game advances to step 512. At this stage, each player may either retain their current main wager prediction or switch to an alternate main wager prediction (e.g., switching from red to black or from diamonds to spades).
[0059] In step 512, a new betting round begins, allowing eligible players with active main wagers to place side bets before the next card is dealt. In one embodiment, only players with active main wagers are permitted to place side bets. Once a player’s main wager is fully resolved, dissolved, or forfeited, any linked side bet opportunities may also terminate unless otherwise permitted by the game rules. In alternate embodiments, all players may be allowed to place side bets regardless of whether they hold an active main wager.
[0060] The dealer then deals the second card face-up on the second designated payout tier similar to step 503. In a manner analogous to steps 504a and 505a, the dealer again collects losing wagers and pays out winning side bets (step 505b). Players with remaining active main wagers are again presented with the option to cash out or continue, with those choosing to cash out being resolved according to prior payout rules (steps 506 to 512) and exiting the main game sequence (step 513).
[0061] Steps 503 through 512 repeats iteratively, allowing players to progress through multiple payout tiers. The game progression continues until one of two 2025226732 15 Aug 2026 terminal conditions are met: either all players have exited by cashing out or losing their main wagers, or any player reaches the final payout tier.

[0078] The specific rules and pay-out ratios shown in the embodiments are merely illustrative and may be varied or adapted based on regulatory, operational, or commercial considerations, without departing from the intended scope of the invention. Example 1: Colour-Based Progressive Wagering Game
[0079] In a preferred embodiment, the progressive wagering card game incorporates a colour-based prediction mechanism where players predict whether sequentially drawn cards will be Red or Black. This embodiment demonstrates the core progressive wagering principles. Players may place mandatory main wagers on predefined betting zones, such as a “Red” zone or a “Black” zone, at the commencement of a game.
[0080] A plurality of players place initial main wagers on a card colour, either the Red or the Black betting zone. Optional side wagers may also be placed on one or more side bets, including, but not limited to, specific cards, suits (Hearts, Diamonds, Spades, Clubs), an Ace card, designated joker or dealer’s card, etc.
[0081] If a card drawn sequentially from a shuffled deck matches the player’s selected attribute or predictions (for example, colour), the player may either elect to fully cash out main wagers at a payout corresponding to a predetermined multiplier or continue to subsequent card slots to increase potential payouts. In one embodiment, each correct colour prediction at a card slot advances the player to the next round.
[0082] Figure 6 illustrates an exemplary payout tier structure for a colour based progressive wagering card game in accordance with this example of the present invention. As shown in the Figure 6 for each correct colour (Red or Black) prediction increases multiplier value exponentially (2X, 4X, 8X, 16X, 32X, and 64X), with the corresponding payout ratios of 1:1, 3:1, 7:1, 15:1, 31:1, and 63:1. This figure further depicts optional side bet payout ratios, including a payout of 3:1 for a correct prediction on a specific suit and an enhanced payout of 18:1 for a correctly predicted Ace card of a designated colour (Red Ace or Black Ace with correct suit prediction). These payout tiers exemplify the escalating risk-reward dynamic of the progressive wagering game. 2025226732 15 Aug 2026
[0083] The multiplier value (M) for the nth card slot may be defined as: Mn = 2n, where n is the one-based index of the card slot and Mn is the multiplier for that slot. The payout tier (P) for the nth slot may be defined as: Pn = (2n - 1):1 where: Pn is the payout offered for a correct prediction at slot n. As shown in Figure 7, Table 1 the exponential payout structure is demonstrated.
[0084] In this example, the structured decision points described earlier may be provided after each successful prediction of the main wager, wherein the players may choose to fully cash out current winnings and terminate game progression or split their main wagers such that one portion is cashed out and another continues or risk the entire amount for continued progression toward higher payout tiers / slots.
[0085] If the main wager does not result in a successful prediction of card colour, the game concludes, and the player may incur the complete loss of all main wagers, together with any incorrectly predicted side wagers. In some instances, a partial recovery may occur through correctly predicted side wagers, wherein losses on the main wager and some side wagers are offset by winnings on successfully predicted side wagers.
[0086] For example, if the main wager is placed on Black and side bets are placed on all four suits and on an Ace card, the drawing of a Red Heart results in losses on the main Black bet, on the Black-suited side bets (Spades and Clubs), on the Diamond side bet, and on the Ace side bet, but yields a payout on the Heart side bet.
[0087] In alternative embodiments, the base used for the multiplier calculation may be modified, for example to Mn = 3n or Mn = 2n + 1, to conform to game pacing and game creator’s or dealer’s requirements. The payout ratios may be linear, stepped, or custom-defined in accordance with game creator’s or dealer’s requirements, while remaining within the scope of the invention. Example 2: Suit-Based Progressive Wagering Game
[0088] In another preferred embodiment the progressive wagering concept extends to suit-based predictions, offering increased complexity and higher payout 2025226732 15 Aug 2026 potential. Players predict specific suits (Hearts, Diamonds, Clubs, or Spades) rather than broad colour categories.
[0089] In this embodiment, a plurality of players may place initial main wagers on one of four suits, for example, Spades, Hearts, Clubs, or Diamonds. Optional wagers may be placed on one or more side bets, including, but not limited to, colourbased outcomes (Red or Black), an Ace card, designated joker or dealer’s card, etc.
[0090] If a sequentially drawn card from a shuffled deck matches the player’s selected attribute or prediction, such as the chosen suit, the player may either elect to fully cash out at a payout corresponding to a predetermined multiplier or continue wagering for progression to higher payout tiers. Each correct suit prediction at a card slot advances the player to the next round.
[0091] Figure 8 illustrates an exemplary payout tier structure for a suit-based progressive wagering card game in accordance with this example of the present invention. As shown in the Figure 8 for each correct suit (Hearts, Diamonds, Clubs, or Spades) prediction increases multiplier value exponentially. Each correct prediction advances the player to the next payout tier with multiplier values of 4X, 16X, and 64X, corresponding to payout ratios of 3:1, 15:1, and 63:1. This figure further depicts optional side bet payout ratios, including a payout of 1:1 for a correct prediction on a specific colour and an enhanced payout of 10:1 for a correctly predicted Ace card of a designated colour (Red Ace or Black Ace with correct suit prediction). These payout tiers exemplify the escalating risk-reward dynamic of the progressive wagering game.
[0092] The multiplier value (M) for the nth card slot may be defined as: Mn = 4n, where n is the zero-based index of the card slot (for example, the first card is n = 1) and Mn is the multiplier applied to the original wager at card slot n. The payout tier (P) for the nth slot may be expressed as: Pn = (4n - 1): 1, such that the payout increases in accordance with the progression of correct predictions through successive card slot, where Pn is the net payout for a successful suit prediction at card slot n. As shown in Figure 9, Table 2 the exponential payout structure is demonstrated.
[0093] Structured decision points may be provided after each successful prediction of the main wager, wherein the player may choose to fully cash out 2025226732 15 Aug 2026 current winnings and terminate game progression or split the main wager such that one portion is cashed out and another portion continues to the next card slot or risk the entire amount for continued progression toward higher payout tiers / slots.
[0094] If the main wager does not result in a successful prediction of main wager on card suit, the game concludes, and the player completely loses main wagers placed, and incorrectly predicted side bets. In some instances, a partial recovery may occur through correctly predicted side wagers, wherein losses on the main wager and some side wagers are offset by winnings on successfully predicted side wagers.
[0095] For example, if a player places a main suit bet on Spades, along with side bets on Red, Black, and Ace, and a Diamond is revealed, the player loses the main suit bet on Spades, the Black side bet, and the Ace side bet, but receives a payout on the Red side bet.
[0096] In alternate embodiments, the base used for the multiplier calculation may be modified, for example to Mn = 5n or Mn = 2.5n, to conform to game pacing and regulatory requirements. The payout ratios may also be linear, stepped, or custom-defined in accordance with regulatory or operator needs, while remaining within the scope of the invention. Example 3: Rank-Based Progressive Wagering Game:
[0097] In one embodiment, the progressive wagering card game may feature a main wager based on the rank or face value of drawn cards, such as Ace, numerical values two through ten, and face cards Jack, Queen, and King, while additionally offering optional side bets on attributes such as card colour or suit. The game may employ a sequential card draw mechanism in which each card drawn is placed into the slot on card placement zone, each slot being associated with an escalating payout multiplier.
[0098] By way of illustration, a player places a main wager on a specific card value or rank category, for example player places betting on a card of rank or any face card. Before the first card is drawn, the player may also place optional side bets on card attributes such as colour (red or black), specific suits (Hearts, Diamonds, Clubs, or Spades), an Ace card, joker or dealer’s card, etc.
[0099] In a gameplay flow, the player first places a mandatory main wager on a specific card value or rank category, and may optionally place side bets on colour, 2025226732 15 Aug 2026 suit, Ace card or special cards. The cards are then drawn one at a time from one or more deck of cards and placed into sequential card slots. After each card draw, if the drawn card correctly matches with the predicted main wager rank, the player advances to the next stage and may choose either to continue or to fully cashing out. If the drawn card does not match with the predicted main wager rank but matches with any side bet attribute prediction, the player loses the main wager and game terminates for that player, but the player is eligible to receive the payout associated with the correct prediction of side bet.
[00100] In certain embodiments, the multiplier and payout conditions associated with the progression of the main wager in Example 3 may be aligned with the payout tiers described in Example 1 (Colour-Based Progressive Wagering Game) or Example 2 (Suit-Based Progressive wagering game). Specifically, the multiplier values and associated payout tiers may follow an exponential model, such as a multiplier value and corresponding payout tier, as previously disclosed in Example 1. Alternatively, a progression model, as outlined in Example 2, may be employed.
[00101] The selection of the multiplier and payout progression scheme may be determined by the game operator or dealer, based on desired gameplay dynamics, risk-reward balance, or applicable regulatory constraints. Accordingly, any of the progression models previously described whether exponential, linear, or custom-defined may be implemented within the scope of the present invention.
