Description

i.   powdered molasses, or; ii.   powdered sugar, or; iii.   powdered humic and fulvic acids, or; b.   or liquid: i.    emulsifiable vegetable polyol, or; ii.    glycerine; c)     dispersant: sodium polyacrylate; d)    thickener: xanthan gum or guar gum.

[0087] For the purposes of this invention, FTE formulations are used comprising: a)     from 1.00 wt.% to 4.00 wt.% of Boron (B); b)     from 0.01 wt.% to 0.50 wt.% of Cobalt (Co); c)     from 0.50 wt.% to 5.00 wt.% of Copper (Cu); d)     from 2.00 wt.% to 8.00 wt.% of Iron (Fe); e)    from 1.00 wt.% to 12.00 wt.% of Manganese (Mn); f)     from 0.10 wt.% to 1.00 wt.% of Molybdenum (Mo); g)     from 6.00 wt.% to 18.0 wt.% of Zinc (Zn); h)     from 1.00 wt.% to 15.00 wt.% of Potassium (K); i)     from 1.00 wt.% to 15.00 wt.% of Magnesium (Mg); j)     from 1.00 wt.% to 15.00 wt.% of Calcium (Ca); k)     from 86.39 wt.% to 6.50 wt.% of Silicon (Si).

[0088] In the above formulation, the Potassium (K) component may either originate from the flux used in the actual manufacture of the FTE, as well as being able to be incorporated into the formulation with an agronomic objective.

[0089] In the above formulation, the Magnesium (Mg), Calcium (Ca) and Silicon (Si) components may originate from the stabilisers used in the actual manufacture of the FTE, as well as being able to be incorporated into the formulation with an agronomic objective.

[0090] The frit is prepared by melting in a furnace a variety of minerals, for example, the micronutrients Manganese (Mn), Boron (B), Iron (Fe), Zinc (Zn), Copper (Cu) and Molybdenum (Mo), and then rapidly quenching the molten material.

[0091] In this invention, the liquid form with dispersion of the micronutrients, micro- and nanoparticulate, promotes ease of application via inoculation in the furrow, greater reactivity of the micronutrients, greater absorption by the microbiota and plants, greater economy in the dosages because they are directed close to the roots of the plants.

[0092] Given the broad spectrum of compositions in the final products, there is the possibility of transforming very sandy soils into fertile ones because, as it is not soluble in water, it does not tend to percolate in the sandy profile.

[0093] The advantages and / or differentiated technical effects of the process of this invention comprise: a)     promoting the transformation of nutrients originating from powdered FTE into a liquid product capable of liquid application in the furrow, together with the seeds; b)     elimination of the energy expenditure and pollutant emissions of granulation, since it is not carried out; c)     promoting the comminution of the insoluble nutrients to 90 wt.% of the particles to sizes between 500 nm and 5 mm, which confers special characteristics on the final product, as below; d)     making use of the inoculator equipment already in use, without adding cost to the application.

[0094] Advantages and / or differentiated technical effects of the product of this invention: a)     causes no damage when applied concomitantly with inoculant microorganisms, being fully compatible with bio-inputs; b)     possibility of application in the furrow, together with the seeds, during sowing without damage to them; c)     with application in the furrow, together with the seeds, the location of root growth, waste of micronutrients is avoided, since they are not applied between the sowing rows where only weeds would benefit from them; d)     with respect to or in comparison with traditional FTE, the micronutrient release period is reduced so that it occurs during the development period of the plants of that harvest; e)     the dimensions of the particles of the final product ensure that these do not settle and remain as dispersed particles in the liquid medium, whether in the packaging or in the application tanks; f)      presents the micronutrients in a preventive manner, that is, for the entire cycle of the plant, a fact provided by the adjustment of the size distribution of the particles of the invention; g)     being insoluble in water, it prevents contamination of groundwater and the pH of the vitreous matrix of silicon (Si) can be used to control soil pH; h)     does not produce acid anions (chlorides Cl-, sulphates SO42-) which are harmful to plants, inoculant microorganisms and soil biota, even if they are not dosed appropriately; i)      has most of the important microelements of the plant in a single particle of product; j)      presence of the nutrient Silicon (Si), which has the benefits already mentioned; k)     allows, in precision agriculture, application of a greater or lesser quantity of products according to the gps mapping of the sown area; l)      reduces the need for complementary or corrective foliar application of micronutrients, due to the product of the invention having slow release throughout the entire cycle of the plant. Examples of embodiments of the invention

[0095] FTE is a vitreous frit obtained by the fusion of the nutrients in a siliceous medium with rapid cooling in water, obtaining a coarse meal of between 0.5 and 4.0 mm.

[0096] In this invention, this meal is ground in dry jet mills until reaching between 20 and 2 microns.

[0097] In the dry product, carbon sources such as powdered molasses, or sugar, or humic and fulvic acids are used.

[0098] This concept is better explained by the following steps.

[0099] The manufacturing process is characterised by comprising the following steps: a)     step 1: selecting the 200 mesh comminuted powdered FTE with the composition comprising: a.   from 1.00 wt.% to 4.00 wt.% of Boron (B); b.   from 0.01 wt.% to 0.50 wt.% of Cobalt (Co); c.   from 0.50 wt.% to 5.00 wt.% of Copper (Cu); d.   from 2.00 wt.% to 8.00 wt.% of Iron (Fe); e. from 1.00 wt.% to 12.00 wt.% of Manganese (Mn); f.   from 0.10 wt.% to 1.00 wt.% of Molybdenum (Mo); g.   from 6.00 wt.% to 18.0 wt.% of Zinc (Zn); h.   from 1.00 wt.% to 15.00 wt.% of Potassium (K); i.   from 1.00 wt.% to 15.00 wt.% of Magnesium (Mg); j.   from 1.00 wt.% to 15.00 wt.% of Calcium (Ca); k.   from 86.39 wt.% to 6.50 wt.% of Silicon (Si); b)     step 2: in a Ribbon Blender mixer, mixing the components comprising: a.   from 85.70 wt.% to 90.21 wt.% of FTE given in step 1; b.   from 12.80 wt.% to 6.79 wt.% of a carbon source: i.   either powder in 100 mesh granulometry of: •    powdered molasses, or; •    powdered sugar, or; •    powdered humic and fulvic acids, or; ii.    or liquid: •    emulsifiable vegetable polyol, or; •    glycerine; c.   from 1.00 wt.% to 2.00 wt.% of dispersant: sodium polyacrylate; d.  from 0.50 wt.% to 1.00 wt.% of thickener: xanthan gum or guar gum; c)     step 3: comminuting the product of step 2 in dry jet mills, jet mill, to a granulometry of 90% of the particles of size between 1.0 and 10.0 mm; d)    step 4: configuring the INTERMEDIATE PRODUCT by mixing manually or mechanically: a.   from 100.0 wt.% to 98.00 wt.% of product of step 3; b.   from 0.00 wt.% to 2.00 wt.% of inoculant microorganisms; e)     step 5: separating and directing to: a. packing in hermetic and impermeable packaging and commercialisation, or; b. proceeding to production of the liquid product; f)      step 6: mixing in a cowles-type mixer: a.   from 44.99 wt.% to 39.90 wt.% of product of step 5.b; b.   from 55.00 wt.% to 60.00 wt.% of water; c.   from 0.01 wt.% to 0.10 wt.% of preservative: sodium bisulphite; g)     step 7: configuring the FINAL PRODUCT by comminuting in an attrition mill the solid parts to 90% of the particles of size between 0.5 mm and 5.0 mm; h)     step 8: packing in hermetic and impermeable buckets and commercialisation.

[00100] For the formulation of the final product, it must be borne in mind that when the percentage by weight (wt.%) of FTE is increased, the percentage by weight (wt.%) of dispersant and of thickener must also be increased, and, consequently, the percentage by weight (wt.%) of the carbon source is decreased.

[00101] The variation in the contents, that is, in the percentages by weight (%) of the micronutrients of the composition of this invention are a function of the results of the soil analysis and the type of crop to be sown.

[00102] For example, in grasses, such as maize and wheat, there is a greater requirement for Zinc (Zn) and in legumes, such as soya and beans, there is a greater requirement for Boron (B) and Calcium (Ca).

[00103] Thus, through the above process, the products described in greater detail can be obtained, as follows.

[00104] It can be seen that step 4 means that the intermediate product may contain a maximum of 2 wt.% of inoculant microorganisms.

[00105] It can also be seen in step 4 that an intermediate product can be obtained without inoculant microorganisms, allowing incorporation of these subsequently, if desired.
