Description

TITLE OF INVENTION FIRE-RESISTANT STRUCTURE AND BUILDING TECHNICAL FIELD

[0001] The present disclosure relates to a fire-resistant structure and a building. BACKGROUND ART

[0002] A building includes an intersection portion at which an exterior wall and a soffit of a roof (hereinafter referred to as a bottom surface portion of the roof) intersect. At the intersection portion, a trim member is disposed at an edge of the bottom surface portion of the roof. The trim member has ventilation holes. The ventilation holes of the trim member are provided for ventilation of an internal space of the roof at the intersection portion. Patent Literature 1 discloses a technique in which an intumescent member is disposed between the back surface portion of a trim member and an exterior wall. The intumescent member fills a gap formed between the back surface portion of the trim member and the exterior wall when the intumescent member expands in the event of a fire. This reduces entry of hot air into the interior of the roof. CITATION LIST Patent Literature

[0003] [Patent Literature 1] JP2002-256648A SUMMARY OF INVENTION Technical Problem

[0004] The intersection portion of a building is visible from below the bottom surface portion of the roof and therefore affects the appearance of the building. When an intumescent member is disposed between the back surface portion of a trim member and an exterior wall at the intersection portion of the building, the intumescent member may be visible. If the intumescent member is conspicuous, the appearance of the building may be impaired. In view of these circumstances, there remains room for improvement in the fire-resistant structure of the intersection portion. Solution to Problem

[0005] (1) A fire-resistant structure according to one aspect of the present disclosure is formed at an intersection portion at which an exterior wall of a building and a bottom surface portion of a roof intersect each other. The fire-resistant structure includes a trim member covering an edge of the bottom surface portion adjacent to the exterior wall, and a fireresistant bracket disposed above the trim member. The trim member includes a main body covering an edge of the bottom surface portion, and a first intumescent member that is configured to expand when exposed to heat. The main body includes a first opening that connects an outdoor space of the building to an internal space of the roof. The first intumescent member is arranged so as to close at least a part of the first opening by expansion due to heat. The fire-resistant bracket includes a first plate portion located between the internal space and the outdoor space. The first plate portion includes a second opening that connects the outdoor space to the internal space.

[0006] With this configuration, since the fire-resistant bracket is disposed above the trim member in the intersection portion, the fire-resistant bracket is less likely to be visible. This prevents deterioration in the appearance of the intersection portion that could otherwise result from disposing the fire-resistant bracket.

[0007] (2) In the fire-resistant structure according to (1) above, the fire-resistant bracket includes a second intumescent member that is configured to expand when exposed to heat, and the second intumescent member is arranged so as to close at least a part of the second opening by expansion due to heat. With this configuration, at least a part of the second opening is closed by expansion of the second intumescent member so as to reduce transfer of heat-related elements to the internal space of the roof in the event of a fire.

[0008] (3) In the fire-resistant structure according to (2) above, the fire-resistant bracket includes the first plate portion, a second plate portion intersecting the first plate portion, and a third plate portion intersecting the first plate portion. The second plate portion includes a first surface facing the third plate portion. The third plate portion includes a second surface facing the second plate portion. The first surface of the second plate portion intersects a lower surface of the first plate portion at an angle less than 90 degrees. An upper end of the second plate portion is connected to an edge of the second opening. An upper end of the third plate portion is connected to an end of the first plate portion. In the first plate portion, the second opening is located at a position between a junction of the first plate portion with the second plate portion, and a junction of the first plate portion with the third plate portion. The second intumescent member is provided at least on one of the first surface of the second plate portion or the second surface of the third plate portion.

[0009] With this configuration, the upper end of the second plate portion is connected to an edge of the second opening, and the upper end of the third plate portion is connected to an end of the first plate portion. When the second intumescent member expands between the first surface of the second plate portion and the second surface of the third plate portion and comes into contact with the second plate portion and the third plate portion, the second intumescent member expands toward the second opening. Accordingly, the second opening is readily tightly closed by the second intumescent member.

[0010] (4) In the fire-resistant structure according to (3) above, the first surface of the second plate portion is divided into an upper surface portion including an upper end of the first surface and a lower surface portion located below the upper surface portion, and the second intumescent member is provided at least on the lower surface portion of the first surface.

[0011] With this configuration, since the second intumescent member is provided at least on the lower surface portion of the first surface, the second intumescent member expands at a position closer to the trim member than in a case in which the second intumescent member is provided on the upper surface portion of the first surface.

[0012] (5) In the fire-resistant structure according to (4) above, the second intumescent member is one of two second intumescent members respectively provided on both the first surface of the second plate portion and the second surface of the third plate portion. A first ratio of an intumescent material per unit mass in the second intumescent member provided on the first surface is lower than a second ratio of an intumescent material per unit mass in the second intumescent member provided on the second surface.

[0013] With this configuration, since the first ratio is lower than the second ratio, the second intumescent member provided on the first surface readily maintains its shape without expanding as compared with the second intumescent member provided on the second surface of the third plate portion. Since the second intumescent member that readily maintains its shape is provided on the lower surface portion of the first surface of the second plate portion, the second intumescent member provided on the first surface is capable of supporting the second intumescent member provided on the second surface of the third plate portion from below in the event of a fire.

[0014] (6) In the fire-resistant structure according to (3) above, the first surface of the second plate portion is divided into an upper surface portion including an upper end of the first surface and a lower surface portion located below the upper surface portion. The second intumescent member is provided at least on the upper surface portion of the first surface. With this configuration, since the second intumescent member is provided at least on the upper surface portion of the first surface, the second intumescent member is capable of expanding in the vicinity of the second opening.

[0015] (7) In the fire-resistant structure according to any one of (3) to (6) above, the second opening is formed in the first plate portion so as to extend in a longitudinal direction of the fire-resistant bracket. The second surface of the third plate portion includes a first region at a same position as the second opening in the longitudinal direction, and a second region at a position different from the second opening in the longitudinal direction. The second intumescent member is provided at least in the first region of the second surface of the third plate portion in the longitudinal direction, and is absent from at least a part of the second region of the second surface.

[0016] With this configuration, since the first region of the second surface is located at the same position as the second opening in the longitudinal direction of the fire-resistant bracket, the second opening is readily closed by expansion of the second intumescent member in the first region in the event of a fire. In addition, since the second intumescent member is absent from at least a part of the second region of the second surface, it is possible to reduce the amount of the second intumescent member, compared to a case in which the second intumescent member is provided on the entire second surface in the longitudinal direction of the fire-resistant bracket. In this manner, the fire-resistant structure reduces the amount of the second intumescent member while maintaining fire resistance.

[0017] (8) In the fire-resistant structure according to (2) above, the fire-resistant bracket includes the first plate portion and a fourth plate portion intersecting the first plate portion. A lower end of the fourth plate portion is connected to an edge of the second opening. The fourth plate portion includes a third surface facing the second opening of the first plate portion. The third surface of the fourth plate portion intersects an upper surface of the first plate portion at an angle less than 90 degrees. The second intumescent member is provided on the third surface of the fourth plate portion.

[0018] With this configuration, since the second intumescent member is provided on the third surface of the fourth plate portion, which faces the second opening of the first plate portion, the second intumescent member expands toward the second opening. Accordingly, the second intumescent member readily closes the second opening in the case of a fire.

[0019] (9) In the fire-resistant structure according to any one of (2) to (8) above, the second intumescent member is provided on a fourth surface of the first plate portion, the fourth surface facing the trim member. With this configuration, since the second intumescent member is provided on the fourth surface of the first plate portion, the second intumescent member expands between the fire-resistant bracket and the trim member in the event of a fire. Accordingly, the expanded second intumescent member reduces transfer of heat-related elements between the fire-resistant bracket and the trim member.

[0020] (10) The fire-resistant structure according to any one of (1) to (9) above further includes a heat insulating material disposed above the bottom surface portion of the roof. With this configuration, the heat insulating material reduces transfer of heat-related elements from the outdoor space to the internal space through the bottom surface portion of the roof.

[0021] (11) A building according to one aspect of the present disclosure includes an exterior wall, a roof, and the fire-resistant structure according to any one of (1) to (10) above. With this configuration, the fire-resistant structure improves the fire resistance of the building. Advantageous Effects of Invention

[0022] The fire-resistant structure and the building of the present disclosure prevents deterioration in appearance that could otherwise result from disposing the fire-resistant bracket at an intersection portion at which the exterior wall and the soffit of the roof intersect. [0024] <First Embodiment A building 10 and a fire-resistant structure 30 according to a first embodiment will be described with reference to Figs. 1 to 8.

[0025] <The Building> Examples of the building 10 include buildings such as a house, a community center, an office, a hospital, a public facility, and a store. The building 10 of the present embodiment shown in Fig. 1 is a house. The building 10 includes an exterior wall 11 and a roof 12.

[0026] As shown in Fig. 2, a first direction XI and a second direction X2 are defined in the building 10. The first direction XI is, for example, a vertical direction. The second direction X2 is a direction intersecting the first direction XI. The second direction X2 is, for example, a horizontal direction. In this specification, the second direction X2 is a direction orthogonal to the direction in which the ridge of the roof 12 extends in plan view. A depth direction X3 is defined as a direction orthogonal to both the first direction XI and the second direction X2. The cross-sectional view of Fig. 2 is a view from the depth direction X3. In Fig. 2, the cross sections of members are indicated by hatching or diagonal lines.

[0027] The exterior wall 11 includes an exterior wall body (not shown) and an exterior wall panel 13. The exterior wall body includes shaft members serving as a framework of the building 10. The exterior wall panel 13 is fixed to the shaft members of the exterior wall body. In the exterior wall 11, a member such as a waterproof sheet or a heat insulating material is provided on the inner side of the exterior wall panel 13.

[0028] The roof 12 includes first shaft members 14, a second shaft member 15, and a plate member 16. The first shaft members 14 form a part of the framework of the building 10. The first shaft members 14 are disposed along the second direction X2 in plan view and are inclined in the first direction XI. The first shaft members 14 are arranged in the depth direction X3. The second shaft member 15 is disposed to extend in the depth direction X3. The second shaft member 15 is fixed to the lower surfaces of the first shaft members 14. The plate member 16 is disposed below the second shaft member 15. An end portion of the plate member 16 adjacent to the exterior wall 11 is attached to the lower surface of the second shaft member 15 by a trim member 40, which will be discussed below.

[0029] The first shaft members 14 are, for example, rafters. The second shaft member 15 is, for example, backing of the plate member 16. The plate member 16 is, for example, an eaves board. Sheathing roof boards 17 are disposed on the first shaft members 14. In the example of Fig. 2, two sheathing roof boards 17 are disposed. A roofing material (not shown) is attached to the sheathing roof boards 17. A fascia 18 is disposed at ends of the first shaft members 14 on the eaves edge side.

[0030] The building 10 includes an intersection portion 21. The intersection portion 21 is a portion at which the exterior wall 11 and a bottom surface portion 19 of the roof 12 intersect. The bottom surface portion 19 of the roof 12 includes, for example, the second shaft member 15 and the plate member 16 of the roof 12. In the intersection portion 21, a clearance is provided between the exterior wall panel 13 of the exterior wall 11 and the bottom surface portion 19 of the roof 12 for ventilation of an internal space SI of the roof 12. The internal space SI of the roof 12 includes a space between the sheathing roof boards 17 and a heat insulating material 60 located above the plate member 16 in the roof 12. The internal space S1 further includes spaces above a plane including the lower surfaces of the first shaft members 14 in the intersection portion 21. In the present embodiment, at the intersection portion 21, a passage space between the exterior wall 11 and the second shaft member 15 located below the plane including the lower surfaces of the first shaft members 14 is a ventilation passage connecting the internal space SI of the roof 12 to an outdoor space S2 of the building 10.

[0031] In the event of a fire in the building 10, heat-related elements such as flames, smoke, and hot air may be transferred from the outdoor space S2 of the building 10 to the internal space S1 of the roof 12 through the gap at the intersection portion 21. The fireresistant structure 30 is provided at the intersection portion 21 in order to reduce transfer of the heat-related elements to the internal space SI of the roof 12 through the gap at the intersection portion 21 in the event of a fire in the building 10.

[0032] Configuration of the Fire-Resistant Structure> As shown in Fig. 2, the building 10 includes the fire-resistant structure 30. The fireresistant structure 30 is formed at the intersection portion 21 in the building 10. Specifically, the fire-resistant structure 30 is disposed between the exterior wall 11 and the bottom surface portion 19 of the roof 12, and at the bottom surface portion 19 of the roof 12. The fireresistant structure 30 includes a trim member 40 and a fire-resistant bracket 50. In the example of Fig. 2, the trim member 40 and the fire-resistant bracket 50 extend in the depth direction X3.

[0033] < Trim Member> As shown in Fig. 3, the trim member 40 covers the edge of the bottom surface portion 19 of the roof 12 adjacent to the exterior wall 11. Specifically, the trim member 40 covers the edge of the plate member 16 of the roof 12 adjacent to the exterior wall 11. The trim member 40 includes a main body 41 and first intumescent members 42. The trim member 40 further includes attachment portions 43. The attachment portions 43 are attached to the lower surface of the second shaft member 15 of the roof 12 by fixing members 100. The fixing members 100 are, for example, screws, nails, or bolts. The material of the main body 41 and the attachment portions 43 is, for example, aluminum.

[0034] The main body 41 covers the edge of the bottom surface portion 19 of the roof 12. Specifically, the main body 41 covers the edge of the plate member 16 adjacent to the exterior wall 11. The main body 41 includes first openings 46 that connect the outdoor space S2 to the internal space S1.

[0035] As shown in Fig. 4, the main body 41 includes a first portion 44 and a second portion 45. The first portion 44 covers a side surface of the plate member 16 in the bottom surface portion 19. The second portion 45 covers the lower surface of the plate member 16 in the bottom surface portion 19. The main body 41 is connected to the attachment portions 43. The upper end of the first portion 44 of the main body 41 is connected to the end of each attachment portion 43 adjacent to the exterior wall 11. The lower end of the first portion 44 is connected to the end of the second portion 45 adjacent to the exterior wall 11.

[0036] The second portion 45 extends from the first portion 44 along the bottom surface portion 19 of the roof 12. The second portion 45 supports an end of the plate member 16 of the roof 12. Specifically, the second portion 45 includes a support projection 45A, which supports the plate member 16 of the roof 12. When the fire-resistant structure 30 is viewed from the outdoor space S2 as shown in Fig. 3, the second portion 45 of the main body 41 of the trim member 40 is visible.

[0037] As shown in Fig. 5, the main body 41 includes multiple first openings 46 arranged in the longitudinal direction of the trim member 40. The longitudinal direction of the trim member 40 corresponds to the depth direction X3. The attachment portions 43 are provided so as to be arranged in the longitudinal direction of the trim member 40. The attachment portions 43 include attachment holes 47. A fixing member 100 shown in Fig. 3 is inserted into each attachment hole 47.

[0038] The first intumescent members 42 shown in Fig. 5 expand when exposed to heat. As shown in Fig. 4, the first intumescent members 42 are provided in the main body 41. The first intumescent members 42 are arranged so as to close at least a part of the first openings 46 by expansion due to heat. Preferably, the first intumescent members 42 are disposed in the main body 41 so as to fill the gap between the exterior wall panel 13 of the exterior wall 11 and the bottom surface portion 19 of the roof 12 by expansion due to heat (see Fig. 3). Specifically, the first intumescent members 42 are provided on the side surface and the inside of the first portion 44 of the main body 41. In the example of Fig. 4, the first portion 44 is formed by multiple plate-shaped members. The first intumescent members 42 are provided inside the first portion 44 by being disposed between the plate-shaped members.

[0039] <Fire-Resistant Bracket> As shown in Fig. 3, the fire-resistant bracket 50 is disposed above the trim member 40. The fire-resistant bracket 50 is arranged above the gap between the exterior wall 11 and the end of the bottom surface portion 19 of the roof 12. Specifically, the fire-resistant bracket 50 is disposed between the second shaft member 15 of the roof 12 and the exterior wall panel 13 of the exterior wall 11. The fire-resistant bracket 50 is formed of, for example, a single steel plate. The material of the steel plate of the fire-resistant bracket 50 is steel or iron. As the material of the fire-resistant bracket 50, a material having a higher melting point than the materials of the main body 41 and the attachment portions 43 of the trim member 40 is selected.

[0040] As shown in Fig. 6, the fire-resistant bracket 50 includes a first plate portion 51. The first plate portion 51 includes second openings 52. Preferably, the fire-resistant bracket 50 includes the first plate portion 51, second plate portions 53, and a third plate portion 54. The second plate portions 53 intersect the first plate portion 51. The third plate portion 54 intersects the first plate portion 51. The second openings 52 are located in the first plate portion 51 between the junctions of the first plate portion 51 with the second plate portions 53 and the junction of the first plate portion 51 with the third plate portion 54.

[0041] As shown in Fig. 7, the second plate portions 53 each include a first surface 57. The first surface 57 is a surface of each second plate portion 53 facing the third plate portion 54. The first surface 57 of each second plate portion 53 intersects the lower surface of the first plate portion 51 at an angle less than 90 degrees. The angle formed by the first surface 57 of each second plate portion 53 and the lower surface of the first plate portion 51 is, for example, 60 degrees. The upper end of each second plate portion 53 is connected to an edge of the corresponding second opening 52. In the present embodiment, the upper end of each second plate portion 53 is connected to the edge of the corresponding second opening 52 on the side opposite to the edge closer to the third plate portion 54.

[0042] The third plate portion 54 includes a second surface 58. The second surface 58 is a surface of the third plate portion 54 facing the second plate portions 53. The second surface 58 of the third plate portion 54 intersects the lower surface of the first plate portion 51. The angle formed by the third plate portion 54 and the first plate portion 51 is, for example, 90 degrees. The upper end of the third plate portion 54 is connected to an end of the first plate portion 51.

[0043] As shown in Fig. 7, the fire-resistant bracket 50 further includes a first support plate portion 55. The first support plate portion 55 intersects the first plate portion 51. The upper end of the first support plate portion 55 is connected to an end of the first plate portion 51 opposite to the end to which the third plate portion 54 is connected. The first support plate portion 55 extends in a direction intersecting the lower surface of the first plate portion 51 at an angle larger than 90 degrees in side view at least in a state in which the fire-resistant bracket 50 is not disposed in the intersection portion 21.

[0044] As shown in Fig. 8, the second openings 52 are formed so as to extend in the longitudinal direction of the fire-resistant bracket 50. The longitudinal direction of the fireresistant bracket 50 corresponds to the depth direction X3. Specifically, the second openings 52 are formed in the first plate portion 51 so as to be arranged in the longitudinal direction of the fire-resistant bracket 50. Each of the second openings 52 is an elongated hole extending in the longitudinal direction of the fire-resistant bracket 50. The second plate portions 53 are provided at the same positions as the second openings 52 in the longitudinal direction of the fire-resistant bracket 50.

[0045] As shown in Fig. 7, the fire-resistant bracket 50 includes second intumescent members 56. The second intumescent members 56 expand when exposed to heat. The second intumescent members 56 include, for example, a graphite-based intumescent material. An example of the intumescent material is thermally expandable graphite. The material of the first intumescent members 42 of the trim member 40 may be selected in accordance with that of the second intumescent members 56. The second intumescent members 56 are provided at least on one of the first surface 57 of each second plate portion 53 and the second surface 58 of the third plate portion 54. In the present embodiment, the second intumescent members 56 are provided on both the first surface 57 of each second plate portion 53 and the second surface 58 of the third plate portion 54.

[0046] The material of the second intumescent members 56 provided on the first surfaces 57 is different from the material of the second intumescent member 56 provided on the second surface 58. Specifically, a first ratio that is the ratio of the intumescent material per unit mass in the second intumescent member 56 provided on each first surface 57 is lower than a second ratio that is the ratio of the intumescent material per unit mass in the second intumescent member 56 provided on the second surface 58. In one example, the second intumescent member 56 provided on each first surface 57 contains 7 mass% of thermally expandable graphite, 60 mass% of inorganic filler, and 33 mass% of butyl rubber-based resin. The second intumescent members 56 provided on the second surface 58 contain 35 mass% of thermally expandable graphite, 35 mass% of inorganic filler, 25 mass% of rubber binder or the like, and 5 mass% of another filler. The second intumescent member 56 provided on the second surface 58 expands more readily than the second intumescent members 56 provided on the first surfaces 57. Since the second intumescent member 56 provided on each first surface 57 expands less readily than the second intumescent member 56 provided on the second surface 58, the second intumescent member 56 provided on each first surface 57 readily maintains its shape more than the second intumescent member 56 provided on the second surface 58.

[0047] The first surface 57 of each second plate portion 53 is divided into an upper surface portion 57A and a lower surface portion 57B. The upper surface portion 57A is a portion of the first surface 57 of the second plate portion 53 including the upper end of the first surface 57. The lower surface portion 57B is a portion of the first surface 57 of the second plate portion 53 that is located below the upper surface portion 57A. The lower surface portion 57B may be a portion of the first surface 57 of the second plate portion 53 that includes the lower end of the first surface 57. In the present embodiment, the second intumescent member 56 is provided at least on the lower surface portion 57B of the first surface 57.

[0048] As shown in Fig. 8, in the present embodiment, the second intumescent member 56 provided on the first surface 57 of each second plate portion 53 is provided on the first surface 57 from one end to the other end in the longitudinal direction of the fire-resistant bracket 50. The second intumescent member 56 provided on the second surface 58 of the third plate portion 54 is provided on the entire second surface 58 in the longitudinal direction of the fire-resistant bracket 50.

[0049] As shown in Fig. 3, the third plate portion 54 is attached to the second shaft member 15 of the roof 12, so that the fire-resistant bracket 50 is disposed in the intersection portion 21. The first support plate portion 55 of the fire-resistant bracket 50 comes into contact with the exterior wall panel 13 of the exterior wall 11 in a state in which the fire-resistant bracket 50 is disposed in the intersection portion 21. The attachment of the fire-resistant bracket 50 to the second shaft member 15 and the attachment of the exterior wall 11 to the exterior wall panel 13 are performed by fixing members (not shown) such as screws, nails, or bolts.

[0050] The first plate portion 51 is located between the outdoor space S2 and the internal space S1. Specifically, the first plate portion 51 is located in the passage space between the second shaft member 15 and the exterior wall 11 in the intersection portion 21. The second openings 52 connect the internal space SI of the roof 12 to the outdoor space S2 of the building 10. The second intumescent members 56 are arranged so as to close at least a part of the second openings 52 by expansion due to heat.

[0051] For example, the second plate portions 53 of the fire-resistant bracket 50 may be arranged so as to prevent moisture such as rain from entering the internal space S1 of the roof 12 from the intersection portion 21. Specifically, the second plate portions 53 are located between the first openings 46 of the trim member 40 and the second openings 52 of the fire-resistant bracket 50.

[0052] <Heat Insulating Material> As shown in Fig. 2, the fire-resistant structure 30 includes the heat insulating material 60. The heat insulating material 60 is disposed above the bottom surface portion 19 of the roof 12. Specifically, the heat insulating material 60 is disposed on the upper surface of the plate member 16 of the roof 12 and between the second shaft member 15 and the fascia 18. In the example of Fig. 2, the heat insulating material 60 is disposed between the first shaft members 14 arranged in the depth direction X3.

[0053] Operations of the Present Embodiment A first operation of the present embodiment will now be described. In the fire-resistant structure 30, the trim member 40 and the fire-resistant bracket 50 are arranged at the intersection portion 21. Accordingly, as compared with a heat-resistant structure formed only by the trim member 40, heat-related elements such as flames, smoke, and hot air are less likely to be transferred from the outdoor space S2 to the internal space SI through the intersection portion 21.

[0054] A second operation of the present embodiment will now be described. In the present embodiment, the trim member 40 includes the first intumescent members 42. The first intumescent members 42 are provided in the main body 41. The first intumescent members 42 are arranged so as to close at least a part of the first openings 46 by expansion due to heat. Accordingly, as compared with a case in which the trim member 40 without the first intumescent members 42 is provided, transfer of heat-related elements such as flames, smoke, and hot air from the outdoor space S2 to the internal space SI is reduced.

[0055] A third operation of the present embodiment will now be described. In the fire-resistant bracket 50, since the second intumescent members 56 are provided at least on one of the first surface 57 of each second plate portion 53 and the second surface 58 of the third plate portion 54, the second intumescent members 56 expand in the space between the second plate portions 53 and the third plate portion 54. In the first plate portion 51, since the second openings 52 are located between the junctions of the first plate portion 51 with the second plate portions 53 and the junction of the first plate portion 51 with the third plate portion 54, the expanded second intumescent members 56 come into contact with the second plate portions 53 and the third plate portion 54 to move toward the second openings 52. In this manner, at least a part of the second openings 52 of the fireresistant bracket 50 is closed in the event of a fire in the building 10.

[0056] A fourth operation of the present embodiment will now be described. In the fire-resistant structure 30, since the fire-resistant bracket 50 is not exposed to the outdoor space S2, the appearance of the intersection portion 21 is not impaired even when the fire-resistant bracket 50 is provided. By forming the fire-resistant bracket 50 of a steel material having a high melting point, such as steel or iron, it is possible to maintain the appearance of the intersection portion 21 provided by the trim member 40 while improving the fire resistance of the fire-resistant structure 30 in the event of a fire.

[0057] <Advantages of the Present Embodiment The present embodiment has the following advantages. (1-1) The fire-resistant structure 30 is formed at the intersection portion 21, where the exterior wall 11 and the bottom surface portion 19 of the roof 12 intersect outside the building 10. The fire-resistant structure 30 includes the trim member 40, covering the edge of the bottom surface portion 19 adjacent to the exterior wall 11, and the fire-resistant bracket 50 arranged above the trim member 40. The trim member 40 includes the main body 41, covering the edge of the bottom surface portion 19 of the roof 12, and the first intumescent members 42, which expand when exposed to heat. The main body 41 includes the first openings 46, which connect the outdoor space S2 of the building 10 to the internal space SI of the roof 12. The first intumescent members 42 are arranged so as to close at least a part of the first openings 46 by expansion due to heat. The fire-resistant bracket 50 includes the first plate portion 51 located between the internal space S1 and the outdoor space S2. The first plate portion 51 includes the second openings 52, which connect the outdoor space S2 to the internal space S1.

[0058] With this configuration, since the fire-resistant bracket 50 is disposed above the trim member 40 in the intersection portion 21, the fire-resistant bracket 50 is less likely to be visible. This prevents deterioration in the appearance of the intersection portion 21 that could otherwise result from disposing the fire-resistant bracket 50.

[0059] Further, the second openings 52 formed in the first plate portion 51 of the fireresistant bracket 50 ensures ventilation between the internal space SI of the roof 12 and the outdoor space S2 of the building 10. In addition, the fire-resistant bracket 50 reduces transfer of heat-related elements such as flames, smoke, and hot air from the outdoor space S2 to the internal space SI. Therefore, according to the fire-resistant structure 30 of the present embodiment, it is possible to ensure ventilation to the internal space SI of the roof 12 and enhance fire resistance while reducing deterioration in the appearance of the intersection portion 21.

[0060] (1-2) The fire-resistant bracket 50 includes the second intumescent members 56, which expand when exposed to heat. The second intumescent members 56 are arranged so as to close at least a part of the second openings 52 by expansion due to heat. With this configuration, at least a part of the second openings 52 is closed by expansion of the second intumescent members 56 so as to reduce transfer of heat-related elements to the internal space SI of the roof 12 in the event of a fire.

[0061] (1-3) The fire-resistant bracket 50 includes the first plate portion 51, the second plate portion 53 intersecting the first plate portion 51, and the third plate portion 54 intersecting the first plate portion 51. The second plate portion 53 includes the first surface 57, which faces the third plate portion 54. The third plate portion 54 includes the second surface 58, which faces the second plate portion 53. The first surface 57 of each second plate portion 53 intersects the lower surface of the first plate portion 51 at an angle less than 90 degrees. The upper end of each second plate portion 53 is connected to an edge of the corresponding second opening 52. The upper end of the third plate portion 54 is connected to an end of the first plate portion 51. The second openings 52 are located in the first plate portion 51 between the junctions of the first plate portion 51 with the second plate portions 53 and the junction of the first plate portion 51 with the third plate portion 54. The second intumescent members 56 are provided at least on one of the first surface 57 of each second plate portion 53 and the second surface 58 of the third plate portion 54.

[0062] With this configuration, the upper end of each second plate portion 53 is connected to the edge of the corresponding second opening 52, and the upper end of the third plate portion 54 is connected to an end of the first plate portion 51. When the second intumescent members 56 expand between the first surfaces 57 of the second plate portions 53 and the second surface 58 of the third plate portion 54 and come into contact with the second plate portions 53 and the third plate portion 54, the second intumescent members 56 expand toward the second openings 52. Accordingly, the second openings 52 are readily tightly closed by the second intumescent member 56.

[0063] (1-4) The first surface 57 of each second plate portion 53 is divided into the upper surface portion 57A, which includes the upper end of the first surface 57, and the lower surface portion 57B, which is located below the upper surface portion 57A. The second intumescent member 56 is provided at least on the lower surface portion 57B of the first surface 57.

[0064] With this configuration, since a second intumescent member 56 is provided at least on the lower surface portion 57B of the first surface 57, the second intumescent member 56 expands at a position closer to the trim member 40 than in a case in which the second intumescent member 56 is provided on the upper surface portion 57A of the first surface 57.

[0065] (1-5) The second intumescent members 56 are provided on both the first surface 57 of each second plate portion 53 and the second surface 58 of the third plate portion 54. The first ratio, which is the ratio of the intumescent material per unit mass in the second intumescent member 56 provided on each first surface 57, is lower than the second ratio, which is the ratio of the intumescent material per unit mass in the second intumescent member 56 provided on the second surface 58.

[0066] With this configuration, since the first ratio is lower than the second ratio, the second intumescent member 56 provided on the first surface 57 of each second plate portion 53 readily maintains its shape without expanding as compared with the second intumescent member 56 provided on the second surface 58 of the third plate portion 54. The second intumescent member 56, which readily maintains its shape, is provided on the lower surface portion 57B of the first surface 57 of each second plate portion 53. Accordingly, in the event of a fire, the second intumescent member 56 provided on the first surface 57 supports the second intumescent member 56 provided on the second surface 58 of the third plate portion 54 from below.

[0067] (1-6) The fire-resistant structure 30 includes the heat insulating material 60 disposed above the bottom surface portion 19 of the roof 12. With this configuration, the heat insulating material 60 reduces transfer of heat-related elements from the outdoor space S2 to the internal space SI through the bottom surface portion 19 of the roof 12.

[0068] (1-7) The building 10 includes the exterior wall 11 and the roof 12. The building 10 includes the fire-resistant structure 30. With this configuration, the fire-resistant structure 30 improves the fire resistance of the building 10.

[0069] <Second Embodiment A building 10 and a fire-resistant structure 30 according to a second embodiment will be described with reference to Figs. 9 and 10. In the present embodiment, components substantially identical to those of the first embodiment are denoted by the same reference signs, and a description thereof will be omitted. In the present embodiment, the configuration of the fire-resistant bracket 50 differs from that of the first embodiment.

[0070] As shown in Fig. 9, in the present embodiment, the second plate portion 53 and the third plate portion 54 are omitted from the fire-resistant bracket 50 of the first embodiment. In the present embodiment, the first support plate portion 55 is further omitted from the fireresistant bracket 50 of the first embodiment. The fire-resistant bracket 50 of the present embodiment covers the upper surface of the trim member 40.

[0071] The fire-resistant bracket 50 of the present embodiment includes a first plate portion 51, a second support plate portion 71, and fourth plate portions 72. The upper end of the second support plate portion 71 is connected to the end of the first plate portion 51 adjacent to the exterior wall 11. The end of the first plate portion 51 adjacent to the bottom surface portion 19 of the roof 12 is interposed between the second shaft member 15 and the attachment portions 43 of the trim member 40, so that the fire-resistant bracket 50 is supported by the intersection portion 21. The second support plate portion 71 is disposed along the first portion 44 of the main body 41 of the trim member 40.

[0072] The fourth plate portions 72 intersect the first plate portion 51. The lower end of each fourth plate portion 72 is connected to the upper surface of the first plate portion 51. The lower end of each fourth plate portion 72 is connected to an edge of the corresponding second opening 52. Specifically, the lower end of each fourth plate portion 72 is connected to the edge of the corresponding second opening 52 on the side opposite to the edge closer to the exterior wall 11.

[0073] Each fourth plate portion 72 includes a third surface 73. The third surface 73 is the lower surface of the fourth plate portion 72. The third surface 73 is a surface facing the second opening 52 of the first plate portion 51. The third surface 73 of each fourth plate portion 72 intersects the upper surface of the first plate portion 51 at an angle less than 90 degrees. The angle formed by the fourth plate portion 72 and the upper surface of the first plate portion 51 is, for example, 60 degrees. A second intumescent member 56 is provided on the third surface 73 of each fourth plate portion 72.

[0074] As shown in Fig. 10, the fourth plate portions 72 are provided at the same positions as the second openings 52 in the longitudinal direction of the fire-resistant bracket 50. The second intumescent members 56 are located above the second openings 52. <Operation of the Present Embodiment> Operation of the present embodiment will now be described.

[0075] A second intumescent member 56 is provided on the third surface 73 of each fourth plate portion 72. Since the second openings 52 are located below the third surfaces 73 of the fourth plate portions 72, the second intumescent members 56 readily expands toward the second openings 52 in the event of a fire.

[0076] <Advantages of the Present Embodiment The present embodiment has the following advantages. (2-1) The fire-resistant bracket 50 includes the first plate portion 51 and the fourth plate portions 72, which intersect the first plate portion 51. The lower end of each fourth plate portion 72 is connected to an edge of the corresponding second opening 52. The fourth plate portion 72 includes the third surface 73, which faces the second opening 52 of the first plate portion 51. The third surface 73 of each fourth plate portion 72 intersects the upper surface of the first plate portion 51 at an angle less than 90 degrees. A second intumescent member 56 is provided on the third surface 73 of each fourth plate portion 72.

[0077] With this configuration, since a second intumescent member 56 is provided on the third surface 73 of each fourth plate portion 72, which faces the corresponding second opening 52 of the first plate portion 51, the second intumescent member 56 expands toward the second opening 52. Accordingly, the second intumescent member 56 readily closes the second opening 52 in the case of a fire.

[0078] <Third Embodiment A building 10 and a fire-resistant structure 30 according to a third embodiment will be described with reference to Figs. 11 and 12. In the present embodiment, components substantially identical to those of the first embodiment are denoted by the same reference signs, and a description thereof will be omitted. In the present embodiment, the configuration of the fire-resistant bracket 50 differs from that of the first embodiment.

[0079] As shown in Fig. 11, in the present embodiment, the second plate portion 53 and the third plate portion 54 are omitted from the fire-resistant bracket 50 of the first embodiment. In the present embodiment, the first support plate portion 55 is further omitted from the fireresistant bracket 50 of the first embodiment. In the present embodiment, the fire-resistant bracket 50 is supported between the second shaft member 15 and the plate member 16 of the roof 12.

[0080] The fire-resistant bracket 50 in the present embodiment includes a first plate portion 51, a third support plate portion 81, and a connection plate portion 82. The third support plate portion 81 is fixed between a second shaft member 15 of the roof 12 and attachment portions 43 of the trim member 40. The connection plate portion 82 connects the first plate portion 51 to the third support plate portion 81.

[0081] A second intumescent member 56 of the present embodiment is provided on a fourth surface 83 of the first plate portion 51. The fourth surface 83 of the first plate portion 51 is a surface of the first plate portion 51 that faces the trim member 40. The connection plate portion 82 is connected to one end of the first plate portion 51. A space is provided between the other end of the first plate portion 51 and the exterior wall panel 13 of the exterior wall 11. The second intumescent member 56 is provided at an end of the fourth surface 83 of the first plate portion 51 adjacent to the exterior wall panel 13.

[0082] As shown in Figs. 11 and 12, the second intumescent member 56 is provided, for example, on the entire fourth surface 83 of the first plate portion 51 in the longitudinal direction of the fire-resistant bracket 50. <Operation of the Present Embodiment> Operation of the present embodiment will now be described.

[0083] Since the second intumescent member 56 is provided on the fourth surface 83 of the first plate portion 51, the second intumescent member 56 expands at least toward the trim member 40 in the event of a fire. The second intumescent member 56 expands so as to fill the space between the fire-resistant bracket 50 and the trim member 40, thereby closing the second openings 52 and the gap between the first plate portion 51 and the exterior wall panel 13.

[0084] <Advantages of the Present Embodiment The present embodiment has the following advantages. (3-1) The second intumescent member 56 is provided on the fourth surface 83 of the first plate portion 51, which faces the trim member 40. With this configuration, since the second intumescent member 56 is provided on the fourth surface 83 of the first plate portion 51, the second intumescent member 56 expands between the fire-resistant bracket 50 and the trim member 40. Accordingly, the expanded second intumescent member 56 reduces transfer of heat-related elements between the fire-resistant bracket 50 and the trim member 40.

[0085] <Fourth Embodiment A building 10 and a fire-resistant structure 30 according to a fourth embodiment will be described with reference to Figs. 13 and 14. In the present embodiment, components substantially identical to those of the first embodiment are denoted by the same reference signs, and a description thereof will be omitted. In the present embodiment, the configuration of the fire-resistant bracket 50 differs from that of the first embodiment.

[0086] In the first embodiment, the angle formed by the third plate portion 54 and the first plate portion 51 is approximately 90 degrees, but as shown in Fig. 13, in the present embodiment, the third plate portion 54 intersects the lower surface of the first plate portion 51 at an angle less than 90 degrees. Specifically, the second surface 58 of the third plate portion 54 intersects the lower surface of the first plate portion 51 at an angle less than 90 degrees. The angle formed by the third plate portion 54 and the first plate portion 51 is set such that, for example, the first plate portion 51 extends parallel to the second direction X2. Fig. 13 shows an example in which a second intumescent member 56 is provided only on the third plate portion 54.

[0087] As shown in Fig. 14, the fire-resistant bracket 50 of the present embodiment is configured such that the third plate portion 54 is formed separately from the first plate portion 51. The fire-resistant bracket 50 includes a first coupling portion 91 and a second coupling portion 92. The first coupling portion 91 is provided at an end of the first plate portion 51. Specifically, the first coupling portion 91 is provided at the end of the first plate portion 51 adjacent to the third plate portion 54. The second coupling portion 92 is provided at an end of the third plate portion 54. Specifically, the second coupling portion 92 is provided at the upper end of the third plate portion 54. The second coupling portion 92 is coupled to the first coupling portion 91.

[0088] The first coupling portion 91 includes, for example, an end of the first plate portion 51 in which first coupling holes are formed. The second coupling portion 92 includes, for example, a coupling plate portion 93 in which second coupling holes are formed. The coupling plate portion 93 intersects the third plate portion 54. The second coupling portion 92 is coupled to the first coupling portion 91 by coupling members such as rivets, bolts, or screws, which are inserted through the first coupling holes and the second coupling holes.

[0089] As shown in Fig. 13, in the present embodiment, a filling member 94 is provided between the exterior wall panel 13 of the exterior wall 11 and the first support plate portion 55 of the fire-resistant bracket 50. The filling member 94 fills a space between the exterior wall panel 13 and the first support plate portion 55. The filling member 94 is adhered to, for example, the first support plate portion 55. The filling member 94 may be provided not only in the present embodiment but also on the fire-resistant bracket 50 in the first embodiment.

[0090] Operation of the Present Embodiment Operation of the present embodiment will now be described. Since the third plate portion 54 is provided separately from the first plate portion 51, the third plate portion 54 can be selected in accordance with the configuration of the roof 12. The angle formed by the first plate portion 51 and the third plate portion 54 can be adjusted by adjusting the attachment angle of the third plate portion 54 with respect to the second coupling portion 92.

[0091] <Advantage of the Present Embodiment The present embodiment has the following advantage. (4-1) The fire-resistant bracket 50 includes the first coupling portion 91 provided at an end of the first plate portion 51 and the second coupling portion 92 provided at an end of the third plate portion 54. The second coupling portion 92 is coupled to the first coupling portion 91. With this configuration, the third plate portion 54 can be coupled to the first plate portion 51 by the first coupling portion 91 and the second coupling portion 92. Thus, the third plate portion 54 can be selected in accordance with the configuration of the roof 12 while the first plate portion 51 remains unchanged.

[0092] <Modifications> The above-described embodiments exemplify, without any intention to limit, applicable forms of the building 10 and the fire-resistant structure 30. The building 10 and the fire-resistant structure 30 may be modified from the examples described in the above embodiments. For example, the structures of the above-described embodiments may be replaced, changed, or omitted in part or include additional elements. Modifications of the embodiments will now be described.

[0093] <First Modification> In the first embodiment, a second intumescent member 56 is provided on the lower surface portion 57B of each first surface 57. However, the second intumescent member 56 may be provided at least on the upper surface portion 57A of the first surface 57 as shown in Fig. 15. A second intumescent member 56 may be provided on the lower surface portion 57B in addition to the upper surface portion 57A. With this configuration, since a second intumescent member 56 is provided at least on the upper surface portion 57A of the first surface 57, the second intumescent member 56 is capable of expanding in the vicinity of the corresponding second opening 52.

[0094] <Second Modification> As shown in Fig. 16, second intumescent members 56 may be provided on the second surface 58 of the third plate portion 54 at intervals in the longitudinal direction of the fire-resistant bracket 50. As shown in Fig. 17, the second surface 58 of the third plate portion 54 includes first regions Al and a second region A2. Each first region Al is a region of the second surface 58 of the third plate portion 54 at the same position as one of the second openings 52 in the longitudinal direction of the fire-resistant bracket 50. The second region A2 is a region of the second surface 5 8 of the third plate portion 54 at a position different from the second openings 52 in the longitudinal direction of the fire-resistant bracket 50.

[0095] The second intumescent members 56 of the present embodiment are provided at least in the first regions Al of the second surface 58 of the third plate portion 54 in the longitudinal direction of the fire-resistant bracket 50. The second intumescent members 56 may be absent from at least a part of the second region A2 of the second surface 5 8 in the longitudinal direction of the fire-resistant bracket 50. In the example of Fig. 17, the second intumescent members 56 are absent from the second region A2 in the longitudinal direction of the fire-resistant bracket 50. A second intumescent member 56 may be provided at least in a part of the second region A2 in the longitudinal direction of the fire-resistant bracket 50.

[0096] With this configuration, since each first region Al of the second surface 58 is located at the same position as a second opening 52 in the longitudinal direction of the fireresistant bracket 50, the second opening 52 is readily closed by expansion of the second intumescent member 56 in the first region Al in the event of a fire. In addition, since the second intumescent members 56 are absent from at least a part of the second region A2 of the second surface 58, it is possible to reduce the amount of the second intumescent members 56, compared to a case in which a second intumescent member 56 is provided on the entire second surface 58 in the longitudinal direction of the fire-resistant bracket 50. In this manner, the fire-resistant structure 30 reduces the amount of the second intumescent members 56 while maintaining fire resistance.

[0097] <Third Modification> The roof that forms the intersection portion 21 is not limited to the roof 12 shown in the first embodiment. In each embodiment, the roof having a sloped soffit, in which the plate member 16 is inclined, has been described as an example, but the fire-resistant structure 30 can also be employed in other roofs. For example, as shown in Fig. 18, the fire-resistant structure 30 may be employed in a roof 12 having a horizontal soffit, in which the plate member 16 is disposed horizontally.

[0098] In the roof 12 of Fig. 18, the second shaft member 15 of the roof 12 is fixed to the exterior wall panel 13 of the exterior wall 11 by coupling brackets 22 at positions spaced apart from the exterior wall 11 by a specified distance. The coupling brackets 22 are arranged in the depth direction X3. The fire-resistant bracket 50 is disposed below the coupling brackets 22 between the second shaft member 15 and the exterior wall 11.

[0099] <Other Modifications> - The configuration of the trim member is not limited to the trim member 40 shown in the first embodiment. Even in a roof using a trim member other than the trim member 40 shown in the first embodiment, the fire-resistant structure 30 can be formed by disposing the fire-resistant bracket 50 above the trim member.

[0100] - The second intumescent members 56 may be omitted from the fire-resistant bracket 50. Even in this modification, transfer of heat from the outdoor space S2 of the building 10 to the internal space SI of the roof 12 can be reduced by at least the first plate portion 51.

[0101] - In the fire-resistant bracket 50, the material of the second intumescent member 56 provided on the first surface 57 of each second plate portion 53 may be the same as the material of the second intumescent member 56 provided on the second surface 58 of the third plate portion 54. - In the first embodiment, the second plate portions 53 and the third plate portion 54 may be omitted from the fire-resistant bracket 50 as long as the first plate portion 51 can be supported by the intersection portion 21. Further, the first support plate portion 55 may be omitted from the fire-resistant bracket 50.

[0102] - In each embodiment, the second intumescent members 56 are provided on both the first surface 57 of the second plate portion 53 and the second surface 58 of the third plate portion 54. However, the second intumescent member 56 may be provided on only one of the first surface 57 of each second plate portion 53 and the second surface 58 of the third plate portion 54. Even in this modification, the second intumescent member 56 can expand toward the second opening 52 by coming into contact with the first surface 57 of the second plate portion 53 and the second surface 58 of the third plate portion 54.

[0103] - The material of the second intumescent member 56 provided on the first surface 57 of each second plate portion 53 may be the same as the material of the second intumescent member 56 provided on the second surface 58 of the third plate portion 54. - In the third embodiment, the second intumescent member 56 is provided on the fourth surface 83 of the first plate portion 51. In other embodiments as well, the second intumescent member 56 may be provided on the fourth surface 83 of the first plate portion 51.

[0104] The present specification discloses the following.
