Roof ventilation and ember guard assembly and arrangement

Abstract

Provided is a roof ventilation and ember guard assembly 10 comprising a flexible longitudinal sheet 12 of indeterminate length, said sheet 12 comprising a central longitudinal strip of foraminous metallic mesh 14 with a width and interstices 22 thereof of predetermined dimension for facilitating airflow whilst restricting capillary action and ember ingress through said mesh 14. Sheet 12 also includes longitudinal strips of metallic foil 16 each sewn laterally to either side alongside said strip of mesh 14 by means of fire-retardant thread 18, and adhesive 20 arranged along outer sides of both strips of metallic foil 16.
