Abstract
A vehicle remote control device that is communicable with a plurality of autonomously travelable vehicles, the vehicle remote control device including a reception unit that receives information that an abnormality has occurred in a vehicle, and a driving command generation unit that generates a driving command to be transmitted to a vehicle, wherein, when there is another vehicle traveling behind a vehicle in which an abnormality has occurred, the driving command generation unit generates the driving command that causes the vehicle in which an abnormality has occurred to decelerate and pull over to a road shoulder, and wherein, when there is a possibility that the vehicle in which an abnormality has occurred departs from a lane, the driving command generation unit generates the driving command that causes the vehicle in which an abnormality has occurred to decelerate and stop without pulling over to a road shoulder.
