Abstract

Abstract The invention discloses an automatically cleaning livestock watering trough. The main body consists of a trough body and a sediment collection pipe. The trough body has an upwardly wide and downwardly narrow cross-section, and its bottom opening is docked and in communication with the top opening of the pipe, forming an integrated structure with internal communication. By utilizing the convergence of the trough side walls, filth completes physical aggregation into the pipe during settling. One end of the pipe is connected to a controllable drainage valve, and the other end is provided with a flushing nozzle connected to the water outlet of an automatic water level control valve. Upon opening the drainage valve, static water pressure initiates initial drainage, followed by a dynamic push-flow from the nozzle triggered by the water level drop to thoroughly expel filth. The invention achieves "settle-and-aggregate" and automatic desilting, effectively inhibiting algae growth and improving water quality, with advantages of structural stability, water conservation, and precise drainage control.
