Abstract A fluid dispensement system for integration with a beverage dispensing system, wherein the system comprises first and second ultrasonic transducers arranged relative to each other to establish a signal path through the fluid, a sensor measuring at least one signal quality metric associated with the first and second ultrasonic transducers, where the at least one signal quality metric is used in measuring a flow rate of fluid through a beverage distribution line. Other embodiments of the system involve running diagnostics on the beverage distribution line, integration with point-of-sale information, measuring temperature and monitoring colour of the fluid in the beverage distribution line.
