A self-powered passive visual temperature indicator integrated into a shower mixer fitting. A thermoelectric generator module harvests the temperature differential between the water supply pipe and the cooler wall cavity ambient, generating electricity through the Seebeck effect. This powers a passive LED indicator circuit requiring no mains connection, battery, or wireless transmission. An optical element set into the fitting face scatters LED output to produce a visible warm colour progression communicating water temperature to the user.
