Abstract

The invention relates to a method for obtaining synthetic ion exchange resins used as sorbents, complexing agents, and for other purposes. The essence of the invention is that in the method of obtaining an ion exchange resin, which consists in obtaining a polymer skeleton by mechanical-chemical modification of polystyrene at high temperature and introducing ionogenic groups into it by sulfonation, according to the invention, the modification of polystyrene is carried out with styrene-butadiene-styrene rubber in a ratio of 95:5, respectively, for a period of 5 minutes and at a temperature of 175-1850C.
