Abstract

The invention relates to petrochemical synthesis, in particular to a method for obtaining δ-alkyl-δ-valerolactones, which are used in the food industry to obtain new flavorings, as well as in the preparation of new samples of perfumery and cosmetic compositions. The essence of the invention is that in the method for obtaining δ-alkyl-δ-valerolactones, which consists in the catalytic oxidation of alkylcyclopentanones in the liquid phase with 30% hydrogen peroxide, at a temperature, the general formula according to the invention is: where R = C2H5; C3H7; n-C4H9; n-C5H11; nC6H13; n- C7H15 The oxidation of alkylcyclopentanones is carried out at atmospheric pressure, in an acidic medium, in the presence of a heterogeneous catalyst prepared on the basis of natural perlite impregnated with a complex of peroxophosphoromolybdenum acid with zirconyl nitrate, taking the catalyst in an amount of 5% by mass, in an alkyl ketone: H2O2 ratio of 1:1.5 mol, respectively, at a temperature of 30°C for 3.5 hours.
