Abstract

A charging system (10) for a vehicle (20), comprising at least a battery (160) configured to receive power for charging from at least an external power source; at least a first charging interface (30) configured to receive alternating current (AC) power from the external power source for charging of the battery (160); at least a second charging interface (40) configured to receive at least a direct current (DC) power from the external power source for charging of the battery (160); at least a power conversion module connected to any one or both of the first and second charging interfaces, (30, 40), wherein the power conversion module being configured to convert the AC power to DC power for charging the vehicle (20).
