Abstract
The invention discloses an automated, high-precision IoT-driven ecosystem and method designed to establish an immutable Digital Audit Trail for methane quantification and carbon credit trading. Operating across decentralized community biogas networks, the system replaces flawed manual estimates with a continuous sensor topology comprising NDIR purity cells, flow-meters, and thermodynamic transducers. An embedded edge gateway normalizes raw values to Standard Temperature and Pressure (STP) using a hardware-level gas law algorithm and encrypts data frames with AES-128 bit keys to guarantee tamper-proof field reporting. The cloud backend translates the real-mass methane data into high-integrity Verified Carbon Units (CO2e) based on standard climate metrics. Administered via a 50-50 revenue contract between DIU-ESRC and ESDO, this model provides a highly transparent climate finance framework for rural development and carbon asset monetization in developing regions.
