Abstract

The present invention relates to a method for the molecular marker-assisted breeding of superior rice restorer lines in Hainan, comprising the following steps: selection of rice restorer line materials; breeding of the selected rice restorer line materials using the pedigree method; conducting crossbreeding tests with various sterile line materials from the F3 generation onwards; observation of the hybrid F1 generation and the corresponding father plants; selection of lines with strong restorer power; retesting after stabilization of the traits to obtain superior stable intermediate lines with excellent resistance performance;and the combination of molecular marker-assisted techniques and pedigree breeding for the purpose of breeding, performing simple sequence repeat (SSR) molecular marker detection on resistant materials, selecting high-quality restorer lines with multi-resistance gene aggregation, and test crossing to breed new hybrid rice combinations with multiple resistance and high quality. The advantage of the present invention lies in the fact that conventional breeding techniques are combined with molecular marker-assisted techniques, and rice restorer lines with multi-resistance gene aggregation are selected in Hainan by means of SSR molecular marker detection.
