Abstract

A pre-charging circuit (100) connects a battery (202) to a power terminal (104) via a first switch (106) between terminal (102-1) of the battery (202) and terminal (104-1) of the power terminal (104), and a second switch (108) between their second terminals (102-2, 104-2). Furthermore, a series circuit (112) is connected between the respective first terminals, with a third switch (110) and a parallel circuit (114) consisting of a resistor (118) and a diode (116), whereby the diode (116) conducts energy only from the power terminal (104) to the battery (202). A BMS (120) controls the switches (106, 108, 110) by closing switches (108, 110) when switch (106) is open, in order to precharge the accumulator (202) via resistor (118) and diode (116), and then closing switch (106).
