Abstract

The invention relates to a method for separating oxide fillers from waste polymer composite materials, in particular rubber and polyolefin materials, for the purpose of recycling and reuse. The method involves: The first stage consists of dry shredding, which takes place simultaneously in a separate facility for waste rubber compounds and in a separate facility for waste polyolefin compounds; In the second stage, the shredded rubber compounds and shredded polyolefin compounds are mixed and subjected to thermal treatment; In the third stage, the oxide fillers are separated from the resulting oxide mixture.According to the invention, the amounts of the separated oxide fillers per 100 m. h. of the oxide mixture obtained after thermal treatment are (in m. h.): zinc oxide in an amount of 3.5 to 4, silicon dioxide from 40 to 60, and titanium dioxide from 10 to 15. The waste rubber compounds are derived from end-of-life automobile tires, specifically passenger car tires, while the polyolefin compounds are derived from high-density polyethylene and / or low-density polyethylene and / or polypropylene.
