Automated system for controlling the lighting system of road tunnels

Abstract

The present invention relates to an automated system for controlling the lighting system of road tunnels, which is applicable in the fields of intelligent transportation systems, electronics and automation, as well as transport infrastructure. The developed system comprises a main controller (10), which is unidirectionally connected to a vehicle instantaneous speed sensor (1), an illuminance sensor in the entrance zone of the tunnel (2), a weather condition sensor unit (3), an illuminance sensor in the exit zone of the tunnel (4), a vehicle presence sensor in the entrance zone of the tunnel (5), and a vehicle presence sensor in the exit zone of the tunnel (6). The main controller (10) is bidirectionally connected to a personal computer (12) and to a network infrastructure (11), which is bidirectionally connected to slave controllers (9). The slave controllers (9) are bidirectionally connected to luminaires of the tunnel lighting system (8), each of which is provided with illuminance sensors (7).
