Automated mixing and pressing system for the production of rubber sheets from recycled material

Abstract

The automated system developed will be used in the production and processing of rubber products and recycled elastomeric materials, for example, in the manufacture of rubber mats and flooring for fitness centers, playgrounds, and sports fields, as well as anti-vibration pads, soundproofing panels, construction components, and other molded products. The automated system consists of the following sequentially and functionally interconnected components: a big-bag station (1), a screw conveyor (2), a buffer hopper with a paddle mixer (3), a granulate dosing device with a dosing screw (4.1), a mixing chamber with a mixing screw and a water aerosol nozzle (5), a movable container on an electronic scale (6), and a hydraulic press with a slide system (7), wherein a binder dosing device with a gear pump (4.2) is also functionally connected to the mixing chamber with a mixing screw and a water aerosol nozzle (5), wherein the system is also equipped with a controller (8) connected to the metering devices (4.1 and 4.2), the mixing screw, the pneumatic valve, the nozzle (5), and the electronic scale (6).
