Description
In anode baking furnaces, the exhaust system plays a critical role in maintaining thermal efficiency and environmental compliance by facilitating the controlled removal of combustion gases. Traditionally, cloth-based exhaust flexible legs have been used to connect the kilns to the exhaust ramps, offering adaptability to kiln fluewall irregularities. However, these components present significant drawbacks, including fire hazards, frequent replacements, environmental waste, pressure instability due to wall misalignments, and complex isolation during power failures. To address these limitations, a robust metal boot system has been introduced, offering a permanent and safer alternative. Constructed from mild steel and coated with heat-resistant paint, the metal boot comprises a chamber, pipe, and sealing plate, designed to accommodate ±150 mm wall deviations and ensure secure sealing even on declined or damaged kiln surfaces. Its ergonomic features, such as a long handle and chain-supported chamber, enhance installation safety and flexibility. The metal boot not only improves suction performance and pressure stability but also reduces maintenance frequency and environmental impact, marking a significant advancement in furnace reliability and operational safety.
