Abstract

The transgenic microorganism of a recombinant Escherichia coli strain for L-methionine production, belonging to the sector of cells modified by the introduction of exogenous genetic material, refers to the Escherichia coli K12 MG1655 strain with directed chromosomal mutations, in which genes related to the transport of methionine into the bacterium, meti and metq, as well as the gene regulating methionine production in the microorganism, metj, were deleted, and with a plasmid containing a gene of interest for methionine production, meta, under the control of the synthetic promoter j23100 and an enhanced 5ε untranslated region.
