Abstract

The present invention relates to a process for removing proteins inherently present in cassava wastewater, derived from cassava processing, through acid treatment at a mild temperature. Furthermore, this invention describes a process for obtaining biosurfactant, preferably surfactin, using cassava wastewater with a reduced protein content as a culture medium.
