Description

1 / 10 AUTOMATED SHORING MACHINE Field of application

[001] The present invention applies to the area of mechanical and electrical equipment for civil construction and refers to a machine for the recovery and maintenance of metal shoring through the straightening and denting of the internal metal tubes, in a fully automated manner, without the need for auxiliary tools and without material removal.

[002] The automated prop straightening machine is basically composed of a carbon steel metal structure, a motor-hydraulic system for applying mechanical force that acts by moving a punch tool or hydraulic cylinder with a rod with removable tips inside the prop, and electronic and electrical components that make up the control panel. The punch tool can be adapted according to the diameter and dimensions of the tubes by changing the tip of the cylinder rod.

[003] The device was specially designed to provide quick and efficient recovery of cylindrical tube-shaped equipment that makes up props and similar items without impacting the mechanical resistance of the material, with easy assembly and transport to the location where the props or metal tubes are used, in addition to reducing accidents and increasing productivity. Description of the state of the art

[004] Currently, for the purpose of restoring dented metal props, hand tools are basically used, such as sledgehammers, blowtorches or other heat sources, lever arms and the like. All these tools only Petition 870250007320, dated 01 / 29 / 2025, page 22 / 50 2 / 10 can be used by a qualified professional through manual effort, completely without automation and with risks of accidents.

[005] Existing machines for planing cylindrical metal surfaces mostly operate by applying pressure from both sides, internally and externally to the surface, which requires the use of complex mechanisms and does not provide a practical solution that is easy to handle and transport.

[006] BR 112012020569-2 refers to an apparatus and method for straightening iron bars or rods by bending them in a plurality of cross-sections with curvature in the opposite direction to the longitudinal axis, so as to determine a wavy extension, having a substantially rectilinear effect. In turn, the machine described herein consists of subjecting the metal tube to a mechanical force exerted internally by the hydraulic cylinder disposed inside the tube, which performs the straightening without wear of the material.

[007] US202432611 refers to a metal punching system between two limiting dies. Although it also performs punching through a cylinder positioned inside a die, the apparatus is intended for stamping a metal part so that it is deformed into a concave surface. Unlike this equipment, the present solution is applied to metal tubes, designed to straighten circular profiles by pressure applied internally by the hydraulic cylinder with a tip to be inserted inside the tube.

[008] The current state of the art presents some drawbacks, such as the use of machine-driven tools. Petition 870250007320, dated 01 / 29 / 2025, page 23 / 50 3 / 10 by human force, frequently causing accidents and lacking the desired efficiency, as well as difficulty in assembly and a number of complex components, which prevents handling by workers in their workplace.

[009] In turn, the machine described herein presents the following constructive, technical and economic advantages:

[010] - electric drive system via two-hand control;

[011] - robust, stable chassis, allowing for safe operation during use;

[012] - increased operational productivity due to the ability to quickly perform maintenance on dented props and pipes with efficient flattening of their surface, without removing material;

[013] - reduction of maintenance and downtime of the product to be remodeled on site;

[014] - reduction of workplace accidents among users;

[015] - easy handling, eliminating the need for specialized labor;

[016] - possibility of being transportable by human force, and although it requires fixing to a concrete floor for safety reasons, it can be moved as needed by the user;

[017] - ease of operation in an efficient and safe manner by workers simply by reading its instruction manual, eliminating the need for complex training and specialized labor;

[018] - components readily available on the market and low maintenance cost;

[019] - low energy consumption in its use; Petition 870250007320, dated 01 / 29 / 2025, page 24 / 50 4 / 10

[020] - very low maintenance level compared to other industrial machines or equipment.

[021] Another ease of use and versatility of use is found in the attachable end of the cylinder, which can be interchanged according to the type of support or pipe to be maintained, adapting it to their diameter and thickness. In this case, simply unscrew the tool at the end of the hydraulic cylinder rod and replace it with the eligible one.

[022] The equipment has a simplified structure and assembly, consisting of a carbon steel operating table whose base must be anchored to the floor using parabolts or a similar fastening system, to keep the structure fixed and free from vibrations. The entire electro-hydraulic system, including the punching tool, is already coupled to the operating table, eliminating the need for any assembly and disassembly of the structure for its transport. Description of the invention

[043] According to Figures 1 and 2, the prop planing machine (1) is formed on a metal structure that forms the operating table (2) equipped with movement limiting elements for the punch tool (5) in the form of a rail support (2.1), a locking plate (2.2), bases (2.3) with holes for fixing to the floor, and supports for adapting all other components: the electrical junction box (3) containing the electrical panel (not shown), the hydraulic motor pump (4) and its protection (4.1), the punch tool or hydraulic cylinder (5) and its protection (6), the articulated base (7), the toolbox (8). Interconnected to the electrical junction box (3) of the machine (1) is a two-hand control pedestal (20).

[044] The metal structure (2) consists of folded and cut sheets, either by stamping or laser cutting, welded at their side sections for extension to the desired length. The entire metal structure (2) is painted for protection against oxidation and corrosion. The shape of its assembly allows the feet to be fixed to a concrete floor or suitable location, preventing the machine (1) from moving during operation, using bolts or similar fasteners. However, they can be quickly detached, allowing the assembly to be easily moved to other locations.

[045] According to Figures 3.1 and 3.2, the two-hand control pedestal (20) is equipped with a cylinder actuation button (21), an advance button (22), and a return button (23). Petition 870250007320, dated 01 / 29 / 2025, page 27 / 50 7 / 10 emergency button (24), and operating indicator LED (25). The pedestal (20) centralizes the equipment controls (1), but other activation methods are fully possible with component repositioning.

[046] In this embodiment, to operate the equipment (1) it is necessary to always press two buttons simultaneously, such that to advance the cylinder (5) the actuator button (21) is pressed simultaneously with the advance button (22), and for the opposite direction, the actuator button (21) is pressed simultaneously with the cylinder return button (23).

[047] The drive pedestal (20) is also fixed to the floor by the same fixing process as the structure (2) of the machine (1).

[048] The hydraulic cylinder (5) is the operating tool of the equipment (1) that will be inserted into the metal supports (100) or pipes to be straightened, with its forward and backward movement exerting the pressure necessary for straightening without wear of the material.

[049] The electrical panel (3) adapted to the structure (2) is determinant of the entire flow of electrical current to activate the motor-pump assembly (4), the power agent of the entire equipment (1), exerting the force necessary to move the hydraulic cylinder (5) at a speed compatible with the forward and return movement.

[050] The hydraulic power unit (4) is an assembly that ensures force and agility in the movement of the hydraulic cylinder (5) through pressurized fluids, providing speed control and high pressure in the displacement of force. In this way, high performance, safety and Petition 870250007320, dated 01 / 29 / 2025, page 28 / 50 8 / 10 equipment reliability (1).

[051] According to Figures 1, 2 and 4a, the cylinder (5) consists of a movable metal rod (5.1), an interchangeable tip (5.2), a fixed bushing (5.3) and a fixing ring (5.4). It is coupled at one of its ends to the rail support (2.1) of the structure (2), its movement being limited at one end by the locking plate (2.2) and the fixed bushing (5.3), in order to allow its forward and backward movement.

[052] According to Figures 5, 6 and 7, the fixed bushing (5.3) is coupled to the other end of the cylinder (5) which acts to absorb the force when the hydraulic cylinder (5) is moved, maintaining its stability during the stroke.

[053] Complementing the components related to the cylinder (5), the articulated base (7), the cylinder advance stop (11), the advance stop with orifice (12) and the cylinder return stop (13) are also attached to the structure, the latter being blind, so as to prevent its movement beyond that point. The articulated base (7) acts as a regulator of the operating distances of the hydraulic cylinder (5) according to the types and models of metal supports (100) to be planed.

[054] In one of the illustrated embodiments, the hydraulic cylinder (5) provides a force of approximately 10 tons on the forward stroke and 7 tons on the return stroke. The greater force on the forward stroke is due to the need for greater efficiency because of the resistance encountered when straightening the support tube (100).

[055] According to Figures 8.1, 8.2 and 9, tips (5.2) of different diameters and dimensions can be coupled to the hydraulic cylinder (5) according to the tube or the Petition 870250007320, dated 01 / 29 / 2025, page 29 / 50 9 / 10 metal support (100) to be straightened, simply by adapting it to the end of the rod (5.1). The activation of the punch or cylinder tool (5) is done by the pedestal (20) with two-hand operation, the operating limit being given by a return stop (13), positioned in the second half of the structure (2).

[056] According to Figures 10 to 12, the stops (11, 12 and 13) act in the direction and general alignment of the support tube (100) during the movement of the hydraulic cylinder (5), supporting the stresses during the straightening process and preventing the metal support (100) from deforming in other parts.

[057] According to Figure 13, the hydraulic power unit composed of the motor pump (4) can be operated with the desired pressure, varying with the dimension of the prop (100) to be straightened. In one embodiment, a maximum pressure of 210 bar is used with a flow rate of 3.68 l / min.

[058] According to Figure 14, the straightening process consists of positioning the metal prop (100) in the equipment (1) so that its coupling is consistent with the positioning of the stops (11 to 13). The straightening operation is performed by inserting the tip (5.2) of the cylinder rod (5.1) into the tubular body of the prop (100). When the rod (5.1) is actuated by means of the hydraulic cylinder (5), which is moved by the motor pump system (4), it moves throughout the interior of the prop (100), and in this way readjusts the dented points internally, returning them to the position closest to the original before the denting, providing its restoration to approximately the original dimensions. Petition 870250007320, dated 01 / 29 / 2025, page 30 / 50 10 / 10

[059] During the straightening of the prop (100), the contact between the punch tool (5) and the inner wall of the tube allows the process to be carried out progressively, starting from the most dented part until reaching the original nominal diameter of the prop. After straightening, i.e., until the end of the prop (100) is reached, the hydraulic cylinder (5) is retracted and returns to its initial position.

[060] Prop straightening elements (9) and a prop base plate straightening element (10) can also be adapted to one of the structure's pillars (2).

[061] According to Figure 15, the side rollers (9) allow for a preliminary straightening of metal props that are very misaligned through the traction process.

[062] According to Figure 16, after straightening the support tube (100) the base plate must be positioned on the base straightening element (10) for straightening and straightening until the correct position for use.

[063] The dimensions of the machine (1) and its components may be adapted to perform the operation on larger props (100) or tubes, by increasing the size of the structural components and the power of the electromechanical elements. Petition 870250007320, dated 01 / 29 / 2025, page 31 / 50
