Description
1 / 13 Facade Support and Complement System FIELD OF APPLICATION: 1. The aforementioned product, whose protection will be claimed in this report, was developed with the aim of addressing deficiencies, mitigating difficulties, and solving problems previously encountered by users in the sector, more precisely, the sector of external cladding for vertical and horizontal facades, decoration, or structuring, in the civil construction segment. INTRODUCTION: 2. This patent application for invention privilege refers to a facade accessory, whose function is to improve the installation of the system in a non-invasive way on the pre-existing structure. 3. Facade complements, also known as facade elements, are additional architectural features that are incorporated into the exterior of a building to enhance its aesthetics, functionality, or performance. These complements may include decorative elements such as moldings, reliefs, stained glass, or sculptures, as well as functional features such as awnings, balconies, brise-soleil (shading devices), and special coatings. 4. Facade accessories play an important role in creating a building's visual identity and can affect its energy efficiency, privacy, and interaction with the external environment. They are designed to enhance the aesthetics and utility of a building's facade. 5. There are several types of facade accessories that can be added to a building for various aesthetic, functional, or practical purposes. Some of the most common types include: 6. Moldings and Ornaments: These are decorative elements, such as moldings around windows and doors, sculpted reliefs, ornamental friezes, and other details that add visual interest to the facade. 7. Stained glass: Panels of colored or decorative glass that are incorporated into the facade to add color and light. Petition 870250100670, dated 03 / 11 / 2025, page 6 / 20 2 / 13 8. Awnings: Suspended structures that provide shade and protection from rain for windows or entry areas. 9. Brise-soleil: These are elements designed to control the entry of direct sunlight and thus improve the thermal comfort and energy efficiency of the building. 10. Special Coatings: Cladding materials, such as wood, metal, glass, or ceramic panels, that can be added to the facade to improve appearance and thermal performance. 11. The choice of facade accessories depends on the building's purpose, architectural style, performance and aesthetic needs, as well as local building regulations. Each type of accessory can play a different role in the appearance and functionality of a building. 12. The structural fastening of panels to a building facade is a critical part of the installation process to ensure that the panels remain secure and stable over time. Several fastening techniques and systems can be used, depending on the type of panel and facade. Here are some common methods of structural panel fastening: 13. Screws or Rivets: Panels can be attached directly to the underlying structure using screws, rivets, or similar mechanical fasteners. This is common for metal or composite material panels. 14. Rail or Profile Systems: In some cases, rail or profile systems are installed on the facade, and the panels are fitted into these rails. This allows for some adjustment flexibility and facilitates maintenance. 15. Snap-fit and Interlocking Systems: Panels with snap-fit and interlocking systems can be attached to the facade without the need for visible screws. These systems utilize special interlocking mechanisms that fasten to each other or to the underlying structure. 16. Aluminum or Steel Clamps: Glass panels or other glazed materials can be secured with aluminum or steel clamps that hold the glass firmly to the frame. Petition 870250100670, dated 03 / 11 / 2025, page 7 / 20 3 / 13 17. Concealed Fastening Systems: For a cleaner, more modern look, some fastening systems conceal the fasteners, making the panels more aesthetically pleasing. 18. Support Structure: In cases where the panels are very heavy or large, a robust support structure can be built to accommodate the panels and ensure their stability. 19. Compared to linear accessories, the products currently on the market, mentioned above, are simply pieces screwed against the facade structure, without simple connections or means to automatically align the pieces as will be described in this text. 20. The aforementioned product for which we are applying for a patent stands out, fundamentally, for its more practical, simple and functional form in a system containing point and linear supports, for fixing accessories to aluminum structures with screwless structural fixing, being endowed with unique, exclusive and innovative functional aspects, which will be described below, making it an exclusive product in the market. It should be clarified that the images above illustrate the product in a demonstrative and non-restrictive manner, whose design may vary in terms of its measurements, raw materials, dimensions, etc., without logically deviating from the main scope for which protection is claimed. FUNCTIONALITY: Petition 870250100670, dated 03 / 11 / 2025, page 10 / 20 6 / 13 39. Initially, the aforementioned product, described in this report, will be used in the civil construction sector. 40. System containing point support (1) for fixing accessories to aluminum structures (facades, etc.) with screwless structural fixing and possibility of non-invasive installation to previously manufactured structures. 41. This invention is unique because of its application, allowing the installation of point elements that can be attached to the support column of an aluminum structure (glass curtain walls, roofs, etc.). 42. The system is composed of point and linear elements coupled to an aluminum facade structure that enhance and diversify the ways the system can be used and applied. Its installation can be carried out during the industrialization of the structure or non-invasively at any point in the structure's lifespan. It consists of: 43.1 - Point support (function: to allow adding complements to an aluminum facade structure; its application can be done during the industrialization phase in the factory or even after the facade has been completed and installed for years). 44. 1.1 - Point support inserter (function: to be inserted and locked into the aluminum structure to support the structural forces to which the support (1) is subjected, maintaining alignment and safety). 45. 1.2 - Point support body (function: to allow the fixing of the cladding / lighting / decoration structure that will be anchored by the point support (1), this part of the point support has several shapes, for each application or load its geometry may vary to give its own characteristics and suitable to safely meet the executive project of what will be supported on it, with examples shown in figure 7). 46.2 - Profile of the structure where the elements of this text will be used. This text does not deal with the invention of this structural profile and all the complexities and differences between various existing facade and roof structural profiles; it only deals with items added to the geometry of this class of profiles so that it has the necessary interface (3 and 4) to receive the complements discussed in this text (function: it is the main structure of an aluminum facade (column) or an aluminum roof (truss), it can receive Petition 870250100670, dated 03 / 11 / 2025, page 11 / 20 7 / 13 glass, panel, porcelain, etc. closures, receive point supports 1 through channel 3.2, and linear complements containing connection 5.2 through channel 4.2. This invention can be applied to existing or future stick or unitized glass curtain wall profiles based on the content of this invention. 47.3 - Front part of the structure profile (function: anchors and supports the predetermined load for point support 1). 48. 3.1 - Wall of the structural profile developed to receive point supports 1 (function: it is the support face that limits the movement of effort and use of the point support 1). 49. 3.2 - Cut / slit in wall 3.1 of the structural profile (function: to allow the insertion of point support 1, to horizontally center point support 1, to support and limit the vertical movement of point support 1 when inserted into the opening and supported on the lower part of this cut). 50. 3.3 - Internal tabs of the receptacle for point support (function: to allow insertion of point support 1 and prevent its removal, to resist torsional and pull-out forces of point support 1 without the use of fixing screws). 51.4 - Part of the structure's profile that receives the linear complements (function: (receive linear complements). 52. 4.1 - Face of the structure profile where channel 4.2 is located (function: to serve as a support base for all linear complements, to serve as a fixing point for pins or screws in the case of linear complements for structural reinforcement). 53. 4.2 - Channel on face 4.1 that receives the linear complements (function: to receive, align and fix complement 5.2). 54. 5 - Part of the linear complement that connects to part 4 of the structure (function: to connect to structure (2) or in a chained way to another complement that has an element analogous to part 4). 55. 5.1 - Profile face of the component where connector 5.2 is located (function: structured base of items 6, 7 and 8 where connector 5.2 is located). 56. 5.2 - Connector on the add-on profile that connects to channel 4.2 (function: serves to align and secure items 6, 7 and 8). Petition 870250100670, dated 03 / 11 / 2025, page 12 / 20 8 / 13 57.6 - Simple aesthetic linear complement (function: element that has no structural or functional purpose, only an aesthetic function to give a differentiated shape to structure 2, since its body can have several different shapes). 58.7 - Modular aesthetic linear complement (function: element without a structural function like complement 6, but with the possibility of receiving another complement on top of it). 59. 8 - Linear extension cover (function: serves as a covering for face 4 of structure 2 or another extension that has face 4, when desired for aesthetic reasons or when necessary to conceal parts of other extensions). 60.9 - Modular linear structural reinforcement (function: it is used as a support and reinforcement element to increase the wind load resistance of structural element 2, as it has a part 3 on one side and a part 4 on the other side, it can be used in a chained manner with more than one reinforcement 9 to further increase the original resistance of structure 2, as needed for each structure where it is applied, and also receive other additions from this text). Since, to reinforce the structure, it is necessary to apply pins or screws spaced appropriately along this element, to apply them in a chained manner, its general geometry allows the second to be applied inverted over the first so that wall 4.2 makes contact with wall 5.2, which is where the pin or screw will be installed, as shown in figure 13. 61. 10 - Modular linear luminaire (function: allows the installation of linear LED lighting at its ends and along the entire length of structure 2 where it is applied, as it has a part 3 on one side and a part 4 on the other side, it can be used in a chained manner, either on itself or on a modular reinforcement 9 or directly on structure 2 itself). 62. 10.1 - Translucent face of modular linear luminaire (function: used as a covering for LED lighting, protects the LEDs and diffuses the light emitted by them). 63. 11 - Front linear luminaire (function: serves as a covering for face 4 of the structure or elements already applied to it, also allowing the installation of linear LED lighting). Petition 870250100670, dated 03 / 11 / 2025, page 13 / 20 9 / 13 64. 11.1 - Translucent face of front linear luminaire (function: used as a covering for front LED lighting, protects the LEDs and diffuses the light emitted by them). 65. Point supports (1) serve as support and stability points for use and application in glazed facade cladding or facades with other cladding such as ACM, porcelain tiles, etc., or even in glass roofs that are structured in the same way as facades. 66. Linear accessories (6) serve as decorative elements, structural reinforcements, linear luminaires, etc., also for application on facades or roofs. 67. To attach linear accessories (finishing caps, structural reinforcements, linear luminaires, etc.) to a structure (2), the profile of this accessory is simply fitted by means of its insertion tab (5.2) into the channel (4.2) until the tip of the tab reaches the bottom of the channel and performs the initial locking. 68. If it is a non-structural self-supporting element (luminaire 10 and 11, cover 8, etc.), this initial bracing is already the total bracing that the piece needs. If it is an element to increase the structural resistance of the column of the structure (2), after this initial fitting it may be necessary to brace it with fixing pins or screws spaced linearly so that the column of the structure (2) and the linear reinforcement (9) act as a single body, adding their resistances and thus increasing the total structural resistance of the assembly. 69. Because it involves coupling between two profiles with interlocking and alignment provided by a linear structure integrated into these profiles (4 and 5), it is possible to couple more than two profiles sequentially, provided that the profiles involved in each joining interface have the appropriate fastening requirements (faces 4.1 and 5.1 and connectors 4.2 and 5.2). 70. To attach linear parts that do not coincide with the direction of the structure (2), which is commonly vertical, (these parts being, for example, horizontal elements such as shading shelves, linear luminaires, rain protection canopies, decorative elements, etc.) or to attach point parts such as point luminaires, Petition 870250100670, dated 03 / 11 / 2025, page 14 / 20 10 / 13 visual identity plates, cables to support the weight of rain protection canopies, etc.), point support (1) is used at the necessary points of the structure (2). 71. Its installation is initially done with a vertical slot (3.2) in the face (3.1) of the structure (2) where the support will be installed and then the support (1) is simply inserted from its tip (1.1) through this slot (3.2) until the structural walls of the support (1) lock into the tabs (3.3) of the structure (2), while resting on the face (3.1) of the structure profile (2). 72. Regardless of whether it is a coupled piece with structural or purely decorative requirements, the fixing of the support (1) to the structure (2) is always done in the same way, without the need for pins or screws. 73. Next, the elements to be attached to the structure (2) can be fixed to the terminal region (1.2) of the support (1), which, in addition to the models shown in Figure 7, can have various termination shapes to allow the attachment of several different types of elements. INNOVATION: 74. In general terms, the aforementioned product represents a solution with regard to a non-invasive facade addition to the pre-existing structure. 75. The method described in this text allows for the development of facade structures that can accommodate various linear and point additions of different models and purposes, always based on the same method of attachment. 76. In the case of linear fastening, this standardization of fitting and the possibility of modulation (coupling more than one linear complement in the same structure (2), sequentially one on top of the other) bring to the product the innovative differential of flexibility of compositions. 77. In the case of a linear addition with a structural function, the content of this text allows for a logistical advantage by reducing the number of profiles (for example, facade columns), since only one column with moderate resistance is needed, and to obtain greater resistance, one or more structural reinforcement additions are simply coupled. 78. Regarding the point-fixing of elements, unlike other existing forms of fastening, this product stands out by allowing the fixing of a point support with Petition 870250100670, dated 03 / 11 / 2025, page 15 / 20 11 / 13 structural resistance that does not use any screws for its fastening and that can also be installed in a completed building, many years after its completion, without the need to be installed together with the manufacture of the original structure. 79. Point support fixing to the structure without screws: Point support fixing to the structure outside the factory, directly on the completed construction site without dismantling the structure; Logistical advantage with the reduction in the number of structural column profiles due to the possibility of attaching one or more reinforcements sequentially to a column; Possibility for the end consumer of an apartment, commercial space, etc., to install linear luminaires on the facade structure of the property they purchased without screws. 80. Relevant aesthetic effects on the inside with the possibility of applying linear lighting systems, channel cover and structural support for tall columns through the channel (4.2), which without this invention require very large profiles, and large profiles can only be produced by a few extrusion factories in Brazil. 81. On the outside there is a condition for fixing support (1) for installing solar shelves, external finishes, advertising panels and decorative elements, the support can be installed even after the facade installation is complete, this condition allows system improvements and external changes without the need to remove cladding facade modules. 82. That being said, the aesthetic linear facade complements that form the invention may be the complements themselves, formed by the profiles (6), (7) and (8) and the luminaires (10) and (11). 83. Additionally, the method of fixing the accessories occurs directly on the facade in the same direction as the structural profiles, this occurs due to the design of the fittings (5) and (4). 84. The method of attaching the complement in any direction by means of point supports is carried out through the support (1) in the fitting (3.2). Thus, the unique design and function of the parts presented by this product allows for innovation in terms of aesthetic linear facade complements. Petition 870250100670, dated 03 / 11 / 2025, page 16 / 20 12 / 13 85. The profile (9), being the complement itself and its method of fixing directly to the facade occurs in the same direction as the structural profiles and is permitted through the fitting (5), fitting (4) with added structural pin. 86. Finally, regarding point facade accessories, the method of fixing the accessory in any direction is done by means of point supports, making it possible to fit any piece into the support (1) and the fitting (3). 87. This is a unique, exclusive and innovative product, highly reliable and recommended for use in completing facades, and will certainly be a major differentiator for the sector it is intended for. DESCRIPTION OF THE STATE OF THE ART: 88. During the development of the aforementioned product, numerous studies were conducted to identify the existence of any prior or related products. However, these surveys did not reveal the existence of any other product with the same predominant technical or functional characteristics. 89. The search found processes that superficially mention the combination, in whole or in part, of the words "facade," such as BR 10 2017 007954 6, BR 20 2018 075844 1, and BR 11 2022 009167 2; however, these processes describe simpler products with layouts containing only metal structures for facade assembly. 90. Additionally, the searches conducted were unable to find a system that, besides improving the visual appearance of the facade, is also capable of avoiding holes and other modifications to the facade itself. 91. Compared to point-fix accessories, those available on the market need to be installed at the factory at the same time as the structure is manufactured (unlike the one described in this text, which allows for later installation, not only on-site, but also throughout the structure's lifespan) and also require one or more screws during installation (unlike the one described in this text, which does not use any screws to attach the support to the structure, yet still achieves the necessary structural strength). Petition 870250100670, dated 03 / 11 / 2025, page 17 / 20 13 / 13 92. In response to this need and commercial opportunity, the aforementioned product was created, more precisely a facade accessory, whose function is to provide a facade accessory option without the need for screws. 93. Therefore, in accordance with Article 8 of the Industrial Property Law No. 9.279 / 96 and considering all aspects presented in this report, the subject of this patent application deserves protection as an Invention Privilege, which is hereby requested. Petition 870250100670, dated 03 / 11 / 2025, p. 18 / 20
