1 / 8 DESCRIPTIVE REPORT “PERFORMANCE CHIP-TYPE DEVICE FOR MOTOR VEHICLES” Technical field

[001] This descriptive report defines a performance chip-type electronic device for quick connection in automobiles aimed at providing increased engine power, assisting in increasing torque, especially at low RPMs, resulting in improved vehicle performance and fuel economy.

[002] The invention falls within the technical field of automotive electronic devices aimed at optimizing engine performance, with specific application in electronic injection systems of internal combustion vehicles. Its use is intended for drivers and professionals in the automotive sector who seek improvements in fuel consumption, increased torque and engine power, without compromising the integrity of the vehicle's original control system. State of the art

[003] To contextualize the development of the present invention, it is known that performance chips or power chips are electronic devices used to optimize the operation of motor vehicles, being applied mainly in electronic injection systems. They are designed to optimize engine performance by adjusting parameters such as fuel injection, turbo pressure, air intake and ignition timing, these adjustments generally being made by adding information or reprogramming the car's electronic control unit (ECU), which allows the engine to operate more efficiently and powerfully. Petition 870250015307, dated 25 / 02 / 2025, page 6 / 19 2 / 8

[004] The power chip essentially acts as an intermediary between the engine sensors and the ECU, intercepting and modifying the signals that are sent.

[005] As an example of currently available similar devices, the US document US2013345951A1 is cited, which claims a performance modification / tuning kit for an internal combustion engine, where an electrical sensor is adapted to detect the opening and closing signals of a control line to one of the engine injectors and connected via a sensor line to the control unit. A selectively changeable modification map, comprising modification values for a range of different engine speeds and fuel loads required by the ECU, is used by the kit's control unit to generate the pressure signal. This is generated depending on the value in the modification map for the engine fuel load currently required by the ECU and the currently relevant engine speed at any given time.

[006] Despite the widespread use of these devices, conventional performance chips have several limitations and technical challenges. Many of these devices operate by reprogramming the vehicle's original module, permanently altering factory parameters, which voids the vehicle's warranty and results in incompatibilities with future software updates. In addition, some systems require manual reconfiguration or remapping, making installation more complex and prone to errors.

[007] Another recurring problem is the impact on engine durability and combustion efficiency. Some market solutions Petition 870250015307, dated 25 / 02 / 2025, page 7 / 19 3 / 8 modifications promote excessive increases in fuel injection without considering the optimization of the air-fuel ratio, resulting in higher fuel consumption and pollutant emissions (carbon dioxide). There are also cases where modifying engine parameters can overload mechanical components, reducing their lifespan and requiring frequent maintenance.

[008] Users of this type of device are aware that, in most cases, applying them to their vehicles brings better performance in the short term, but leads to higher fuel consumption. In addition, in the long term it results in more frequent vehicle maintenance and restructuring operations of the original programming altered by these chips. Objectives of the invention

[009] Given this context, the objective of the present invention is to provide a solution to the limitations of conventional performance chips, optimizing engine performance without compromising its durability or the integrity of the vehicle's original electronic system. The device seeks to offer an efficient and safe alternative, promoting intelligent and minimally invasive modulation of the air-fuel ratio without the need for reprogramming or remapping.

[010] The main technical advantages of the invention include: • Maintaining the integrity of the vehicle's original module, eliminating the need for permanent reprogramming; • Quick and easy installation, requiring no complex adjustments or invasive procedures; Petition 870250015307, dated 25 / 02 / 2025, page 8 / 19 4 / 8 • Optimizing combustion by controlling the amount of air admitted by the engine, reducing fuel consumption and improving energy efficiency; • Preserving the durability of the engine's mechanical components, preventing overloads and premature wear; • Reversible operation, allowing removal of the device without impacting the vehicle's original settings.

[011] Among these advantages, the device aims primarily to: • Increase the vehicle's torque and power; • To provide more power during ascents and acceleration (when using land vehicles); • Reduce fuel consumption by up to 20%; • Increase engine lifespan by 10%; • Require lower engine speed; • To offer better handling and comfort to the driver; • To offer an enhancement system outside of the vehicle's module, i.e., without reprogramming the original module; • Easy to install and remove. Description of the figures

[012] The attached figures are intended to guide the understanding of the invention, which will be described in detail later on, of which: Figure 1 - photograph of the device in top view; Figure 2 - photograph of the device in bottom perspective; Petition 870250015307, dated 25 / 02 / 2025, page 9 / 19 5 / 8 Figure 3 - Photograph of the device in top view, showing the wiring harness that allows for quick installation. Detailed description of the invention

[013] The present invention relates to an electronic device (1) of the performance chip type, developed for connection with the fuel delivery control system to the engine of motor vehicles.

[014] The device (1) acts on the modulation of parameters of the electronic injection system, without altering the original mapping or programming of the vehicle module, thus guaranteeing its compatibility and integrity.

[015] In its constructive definition, the device (1) has a box-shaped casing (2) with compact dimensions of 1 cm in height (A), 3 cm in width (L) and 4 cm in length (C), which houses and protects the PCB and its subcomponents. Externally, the casing (2) incorporates a tab (2a) with a through hole (2b) for fixing to the vehicle by means of a screw, clamp or wire. The device (1) extends a harness cable (3) from the casing (2) to which it is connected to the vehicle's system, preferably 35 cm long and 8 mm in diameter, ensuring ease of installation and positioning. Its simplified construction allows for the compact size, as it does not depend on bulky components such as coolers and heat sinks.

[016] The performance chip (1) is programmed / configured to: • Monitor and interpret the parameters of the vehicle's electronic injection system, ensuring compatibility with the operational functions of the original module; Petition 870250015307, dated 25 / 02 / 2025, page 10 / 19 6 / 8 • Modulate the air-fuel ratio, optimizing the mixture to a range between 16 and 18 parts air for every 1 part fuel, without altering the module's original mapping and without reprogramming; • Send commands to the vehicle's module (king module or ECU) to release a greater volume of air, preferably within the safe margins previously defined by the manufacturer; • Dynamically adjust the amount of air admitted by the engine, preferably taking advantage of the limit variation ranges established by the electronic injection system and preferably forcing an increase in the amount of air to between 16 and 18 parts for 1 part of fuel; • Preserve the integrity of the original software, ensuring that no permanent reprogramming or remapping is applied to the vehicle module; • Enable complete reversibility of the operation, allowing the vehicle's system to automatically return to its original settings upon uninstallation, without the need for additional adjustments.

[017] The operation of the device (1) is based on modulating the air-fuel ratio within the operational limits already established in the vehicle's electronic injection module. Conventional engines operate, on average, with a ratio of 12 to 14 parts air for every 1 part fuel. The performance chip (1) optimizes this ratio, adjusting it to values between 16 and 18 parts air for every 1 part fuel. This adjustment occurs without altering the vehicle's original module programming, only taking advantage of the correction limit ranges of the electronic injection system. Petition 870250015307, dated 25 / 02 / 2025, page 11 / 19 7 / 8 previously defined by the manufacturer and / or specifically modulating airflow management parameters of the original module.

[018] Modulating air injection results in increased engine torque and power, improving vehicle performance. In addition, optimizing the air-fuel ratio promotes more efficient combustion, reducing fuel consumption, since the energy generated by burning the fuel is better utilized, decreasing the need for a larger volume of fuel per kilometer driven.

[019] Installation of the device (1) is quick and simple, taking 3 to 15 minutes. The device (1) is connected directly to the vehicle's system via its connection cable (3), eliminating any need for reprogramming or remapping the original module (king module). During operation, the chip (1) sends signals to the king module, instructing it to release a larger volume of air, preferably between 16 and 18 parts for 1 part of fuel, preferably within the predetermined safe margins. The original module already has a working value for the air-fuel ratio and a safe variation range, with upper and lower limits. The device (1) operates by adjusting the system to work close to the upper limit of this range, relatively increasing the air delivery to a ratio of two to four additional parts of air for each part of fuel. This feature allows its application without remapping or actively reprogramming the original module, but only modulating the ranges already provided for this purpose. In this way, the performance chip (1) improves engine operation without permanently interfering with the vehicle's electronic module. Petition 870250015307, dated 25 / 02 / 2025, page 12 / 19 8 / 8

[020] Its operation is reversible, meaning that if the device (1) is removed, the system automatically returns to its original settings without the need for additional adjustments or reconfiguration. This feature ensures an effective solution for increasing engine energy efficiency without compromising the integrity of the vehicle's original software.

[021] Finally, the main technical advantages achieved by the device (1) are: - an increase of 15% to 20% in engine power; - improved vehicle performance and range; - Integration into most motor vehicles, such as cars, motorcycles, trucks, agricultural machinery, and even boats; - Easy installation and autonomous operation, eliminating the need for workshops and specialized labor for integration into the vehicle; - Compact design, easy to fit and secure in the vehicle.
