Description

1 / 36 “METHOD FOR PROCESSING A SEQUENCE OF BITS, DEVICE IN A WIRELESS COMMUNICATION NETWORK, AND NON-TRANSIENT COMPUTER-READABLE MEDIA”

[001] This application claims priority over Patent Application No. CN201710144385.2, filed with the Chinese Patent Office on March 10, 2017, and entitled WIRELESS COMMUNICATION METHOD AND DEVICE, which is incorporated herein by reference in its entirety. FIELD OF TECHNIQUE

[002] This application relates to the field of communications, and more specifically, to a wireless communication method and device. BACKGROUND

[003] In a Long Term Evolution (LTE) communications system, a terminal device sends uplink data and receives downlink data based on a schedule from a base station. Specifically, before sending or receiving data, the terminal device often receives Downlink Control Information (DCI) sent by the base station and then performs a corresponding data send or receive operation based on the DCI.

[004] When sending DCIs, the base station can scramble a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) of the DCIs with configuration information used to configure the terminal device, and send a scrambled sequence and the DCIs together to the terminal device. The terminal device can obtain configuration information from a network device from the scrambled sequence, in order to establish communication with a network.

[005] In a process where the terminal device unscrambles the scrambled sequence, a descramble error may occur. As a result, the terminal device obtains incorrect configuration information. Therefore, how to reduce the probability of the terminal device obtaining incorrect configuration information is a problem that needs to be addressed urgently. SUMMARY

[006] This application provides a method and device for communication. Petition 870250058551, dated 09 / 07 / 2025, page 15 / 66 2 / 36 wireless, in order to reduce the likelihood of a terminal device obtaining incorrect configuration information.

[007] One aspect provides a method of wireless communication, including: to scramble, with each part of configuration information from a plurality of parts of configuration information used to configure a terminal device, bits that are included in a cyclic redundancy check (CRC) of downlink control information (DCI) and that correspond to each part of configuration information, to obtain a scrambled sequence, in which at least one bit among bits that correspond to each part of configuration information does not correspond to another part of configuration information from the plurality of parts of configuration information; and to send the DCI and the scrambled sequence to the terminal device.

[008] Therefore, the bits that are included in the CRC cyclic redundancy check of the DCI downlink control information and that correspond to each configuration information piece are scrambled with each configuration information piece of the plurality of configuration information pieces used to configure the terminal device, to obtain the scrambled sequence, in which at least one bit among the bits that correspond to each configuration information piece does not correspond to another configuration information piece of the plurality of configuration information pieces. When compared to a case where each bit that corresponds to at least one configuration information piece corresponds to another configuration information piece, the probability that the terminal device will obtain incorrect configuration information through unscrambling can be reduced.

[009] In a deployment, when a sum of bit quantities that correspond to the plurality of configuration information parts is greater than or equal to a total number of bits included in the CRC, each bit in the CRC corresponds to at least one configuration information part.

[010] Therefore, in this implementation, when the sum of the number of bits that need to be scrambled with the plurality of configuration information parts is greater than or equal to a total length Petition 870250058551, dated 09 / 07 / 2025, page 16 / 66 3 / 36 of the CRC, each bit in the CRC can be scrambled with configuration information. Thus, if the CRC has a limited length, the proportion of overlapping scrambling performed using configuration information can be minimized, so that the probability of the terminal device incorrectly unscrambled configuration information can be reduced.

[011] In a deployment, when a sum of bit quantities that correspond to the plurality of configuration information parts is less than a total number of bits included in the CRC, each bit in the CRC corresponds to, at most, one configuration information part.

[012] Therefore, in this implementation, when the sum of the number of bits that need to be scrambled with the plurality of configuration information parts is less than the total length of the CRC, the CRC can be scrambled with the plurality of configuration information parts in a non-overlapping manner, so that the probability of incorrect unscramble can be further reduced.

[013] In a deployment, the plurality of configuration information parts includes first configuration information and second configuration information, wherein the first configuration information corresponds to the first M bits in the CRC, and the second configuration information corresponds to the second N bits in the CRC; and shuffling, with each configuration information part of a plurality of configuration information parts used to configure a terminal device, bits, which correspond to each configuration information part, of bits included in a DCI CRC includes: scramble the first M bits with the initial configuration information, and scramble the second N bits with the secondary configuration information.

[014] In a deployment, the initial configuration information is used to indicate a temporary radio network identifier (RNTI) configured for the terminal device.

[015] In a deployment, the second configuration information is used to indicate an antenna port configured for the terminal device for communication. Petition 870250058551, dated 09 / 07 / 2025, page 17 / 66 4 / 36

[016] In a deployment, scrambling the second N bits with the second configuration information includes: Determine a first scrambled sequence based on the antenna port configured for the terminal device for communication and a mapping relationship between a plurality of antenna ports and a plurality of scrambled sequences; and scramble the N second bits with the first scrambled sequence.

[017] In a deployment, scrambling the first M bits with the initial configuration information, and scrambling the second N bits with the secondary configuration information includes: Determine a second scrambled sequence based on the first configuration information and the second configuration information, wherein the length of the second scrambled sequence is equal to the length occupied by the first M bits and the second N bits in the CRC, wherein the second scrambled sequence includes M third bits and N fourth bits, the M third bits carry the first configuration information, and the N fourth bits carry the second configuration information; and scramble the CRC with the second scrambled sequence.

[018] In a deployment, scrambling the first M bits with the initial configuration information, and scrambling the second N bits with the secondary configuration information includes: determine a third scrambled sequence based on the initial configuration information, where the third scrambled sequence includes M fifth bits; shuffle the first M bits with the third scrambled sequence; Determine a fourth scrambled sequence based on the second set of configuration information, where the fourth scrambled sequence includes N sixth bits; and scramble the N second bits with the fourth scrambled sequence.

Optionally, a bit value other than the first M bits in the third scrambled sequence is 0.

[020] In a deployment, the number of bits included in the fourth scrambled sequence is greater than N, and the length of the fourth scrambled sequence is equal to the length of the CRC. Optionally, a bit value other than the N second bits in the fourth scrambled sequence is 0. In a deployment, the bits that correspond to each piece of configuration information are consecutive bits.

[021] In a deployment, if bits that correspond to multiple configuration information are consecutive bits, there may be a dummy separation bit (i.e., a bit that does not need to be scrambled with configuration information) or there may be no separation bit between bits that correspond to two adjacent configuration information.

[022] In a deployment, bits that correspond to the plurality of configuration information parts can be interleaved. When bits are interleaved, there may be a dummy bit separator or there may be no dummy bit separator between the bits.

[023] In a deployment, sending the DCI and the scrambled sequence to the endpoint includes: Perform polar encoding on DCI and scrambled sequences to obtain encoded bits; and send the encoded bits to the terminal device.

[024] A second aspect provides a method of wireless communication, which includes: To obtain downlink control information (DCI), a scrambled sequence is sent by a network device, wherein bits corresponding to the scrambled sequence are scrambled with each piece of configuration information from a plurality of configuration information pieces used to configure a terminal device by the network device, wherein each piece of configuration information corresponds to at least one bit in the scrambled sequence, and at least one bit among the bits corresponding to each piece of configuration information. Petition 870250058551, dated 09 / 07 / 2025, page 19 / 66 6 / 36 configuration does not match another part of configuration information from the plurality of configuration information parts; To unscramble, based on a possible value for each piece of configuration information, the bits that correspond to each piece of configuration information, in order to obtain an unscrambled sequence; and to perform a verification operation using the unscrambled sequence and the DCIs.

[025] In a deployment, when a sum of bit quantities that correspond to the plurality of configuration information parts is greater than or equal to a total number of bits included in the scrambled sequence, each bit in the scrambled sequence corresponds to at least one configuration information part; or when a sum of bit quantities that correspond to the plurality of configuration information parts is less than a total number of bits included in the scrambled sequence, each bit in the scrambled sequence corresponds to at most one configuration information part.

[026] In a deployment, the plurality of configuration information parts includes first configuration information and second configuration information, wherein the first configuration information corresponds to the first M bits in the scrambled sequence, and the second configuration information corresponds to the second N bits in the scrambled sequence; and unscrambling, based on a possible value of each configuration information part, the bits that correspond to each configuration information part includes: Unscramble the first M bits based on a possible value of the first configuration information, and unscramble the second N bits based on a possible value of the second configuration information.

[027] In a deployment, the initial configuration information is used to indicate a temporary radio network identifier (RNTI) configured for the terminal device by the network device.

[028] In a deployment, the second configuration information is used to indicate an antenna port configured for the device. Petition 870250058551, dated 09 / 07 / 2025, page 20 / 66 7 / 36 terminal via network device for communication.

[060] The following is a description of the technical solutions in this application with reference to the attached drawings.

[061] Figure 1 shows a basic wireless communication procedure. In a wireless communication system, at a transmission termination, a signal is sent from a signal source after having successively passed through source coding, channel coding, rate matching, and modulation mapping.

[062] In a receive termination, a signal is transmitted to a signal destination after having successively passed through demodulation unmapping, rate mismatch, channel decoding and source decoding.

[063] It should be noted that a wireless communications system to which a wireless communication method, in embodiments of this application, is applicable may include, but is not limited to: a Narrowband Internet of Things (NB-IoT) system, the Global System for Mobile Communications (GSM), Enhanced Data Rates for GSM Evolution (EDGE), a Wideband Code Division Multiple Access (WCDMA) system, a Code Division Multiple Access 2000 (CDMA2000) system, a Time Division-Synchronous Code Division Multiple Access (TD-SCDMA) system, a Long Term Evolution (LTE) system, and a next-generation communications system, by Petition 870250058551, dated 09 / 07 / 2025, page 25 / 66 12 / 36 example, a 5th generation (5G) communications system.

[064] Three main categories of scenarios that are defined in the 5G communications system and subsequent possible communications systems are: enhanced Mobile Broadband (eMBB), Ultra Reliable Low Latency Communications (URLLC), and massive Machine Type Communications (mTC). eMBB services essentially include ultra-high-definition video, augmented reality (AR), virtual reality (VR), and similar technologies, and are characterized by a large amount of data to transmit and a very high transmission rate. URLLC services are applied essentially in industrial control, automated driving, and similar technologies in the Internet of Things, and are characterized by ultra-high reliability, low latency, a relatively small amount of data to transmit, and intermittency.mMTC services are primarily used in smart grids, smart cities, and similar Internet of Things applications, and are characterized by massive device connections, a small amount of data to transmit, and a relatively long latency tolerance.

[065] The embodiments of this application may be applied to a wireless communications system. The wireless communications system often includes cells. Each cell includes a network device, for example, a base station (BS). The base station provides communication services to a plurality of terminal devices, for example, mobile stations (MS). The base station is connected to a main network device, as shown in Figure 2.

[066] In embodiments of this application, the network device may include a Baseband Unit (BBU) and a Remote Radio Unit (RRU). The BBU and RRU may be placed in different locations. For example, the RRU is placed remotely in an open area with heavy telephone traffic. The BBU is placed in a central equipment room. Alternatively, the BBU and RRU may be placed in the same equipment room. Alternatively, the BBU and RRU may be different parts in a rack. Petition 870250058551, dated 09 / 07 / 2025, p. 26 / 66 13 / 36

[067] In the embodiments of this application, a network device is an apparatus implemented in a radio access network and configured to provide a wireless communication function to a terminal device. The base station may include various forms of macro base stations, micro base stations (also called small cells), relay nodes, access points, and the like. A device that has the functions of a base station may have different names in systems that use different radio access technologies. For example, the network device may be an access point (AP) in a WLAN, or the network device may be a base transceiver station (BTS) in GSM or CDMA, or the network device may be an evolved NodeB (eNB or eNodeB) in an LTE system, or the network device may be a NodeB (Node B) in a 3rd generation (3G) system.Furthermore, the network device may be a relay node, an access point, a vehicle-mounted device, a body-worn device, a network device in a future 5G network, a network device in a future evolved PLMN network, or similar. For ease of description, in all embodiments of this application, the foregoing apparatus that provides a wireless communication function for an MS are collectively referred to as a network device (e.g., a base station or a BS).

[068] The embodiments are described with reference to a terminal device in this application. The terminal device may also be referred to as user equipment (UE), an access terminal, a subscriber unit, a user station, a mobile console, a mobile station (MS), a remote station, a remote terminal, a mobile device, a user terminal, a terminal, a wireless communications device, a user agent, or a user appliance.

[069] By way of example rather than limitation, the terminal device used in the embodiments of this application may include various handheld devices, in-vehicle devices, body-wearable devices, or computing devices having a wireless communication function or other processing devices connected to a wireless modem, and may additionally include a subscriber unit, a cellular phone (cellular Petition 870250058551, dated 09 / 07 / 2025, p. 27 / 66 A 14 / 36 phone, a smartphone, a wireless data card, a Personal Digital Assistant (PDA), a tablet computer, a wireless modem, a handset, a laptop computer, a machine-type communication (MTC) terminal, and a station (STA) in a wireless local area network (WLAN). The terminal device may be a mobile phone, a cordless phone, a Session Initiation Protocol (SIP) phone, a Wireless Local Loop (WLL) station, a terminal device in a next-generation communications system, such as a fifth-generation (5G) communication network, a terminal device in a future evolved Public Land Mobile Network (PLMN), or similar.

[070] A body-worn device may also be called a smart body-worn device, and is a general term for body-worn devices such as eyeglasses, gloves, watches, clothing, and shoes that are intelligently designed and developed based on everyday wearable devices by applying body-worn technology. A body-worn device is a portable device that is directly worn on the body or integrated into a user's clothing or accessories. A body-worn device is not only a hardware device but also implements advanced functions using software assistance, data exchange, and cloud interaction. In a broad sense, wearable smart devices include smartwatches, smart glasses, or similar devices that are rounded, large, and capable of performing all or some functions without relying on smartphones, and also include various smart bands, smart jewelry, or similar devices that specialize in only one type of application function, for example, physical signal monitoring, and that need to be used in conjunction with other devices, such as smartphones.

[071] Furthermore, in the embodiments of this application, the terminal device may perform wireless communication in a cell. The cell may be a cell corresponding to a network device (for example, a base station). The cell may belong to a macro base station, or it may Petition 870250058551, dated 09 / 07 / 2025, page 28 / 66 15 / 36 belong to a base station that corresponds to a small cell. A small cell may include, in this document, a metro cell, a micro cell, a pico cell, a femto cell, or similar. These small cells have characteristics of small coverage areas and low transmission power, and are suitable for providing high-rate data transmission services.

[072] Furthermore, in the modalities of this application, a plurality of cells may be running on the same frequency on a carrier at the same time. In some special scenarios, the concepts of a carrier and a cell may be considered equivalent in a system, such as LTE. For example, in a carrier aggregation (CA) scenario, when a supplementary carrier is configured for UE, the supplementary carrier carries both a carrier index of the supplementary carrier and a cell identity (Cell ID) of a secondary server cell operating on the supplementary carrier. In this case, the concepts of a carrier and a cell may be considered equivalent. For example, accessing a carrier via UE is equivalent to accessing a cell via UE.

[073] The method and apparatus, provided in the embodiments of this application, may be applied to a terminal device or a network device. The terminal device or network device includes a hardware layer, an operating system layer running on the hardware layer, and an application layer running on the operating system layer. The hardware layer includes hardware such as a central processing unit (CPU), a memory management unit (MMU), and memory (also referred to as main memory). The operating system may be any one or more computer operating systems, for example, a Linux operating system, a Unix operating system, an Android operating system, an iOS operating system, or a Windows operating system, which implement service processing using a process. This application layer includes applications such as a browser, contacts, word processing software, and instant messaging software. Furthermore, within the parameters of this application, a specific structure is required. Petition 870250058551, dated 09 / 07 / 2025, p. 29 / 66 16 / 36 of an execution body of a signal transmission method is not particularly limited in this application, provided that a program recording code of the signal transmission method, in the embodiments of this application, can be executed to perform communication based on the wireless communication method, in the embodiments of this application. For example, the execution body of the wireless communication method, in the embodiments of this application, may be the terminal device or the network device, or it is a function module that is in the terminal device or the network device and that can invoke a program and execute the program.

[074] In addition, various aspects or features of this application may be implemented as methods, devices or products using standard programming and / or engineering techniques. The term product, as used in this application, encompasses computer programs accessible from any computer-readable device, carrier or media. For example, a computer-readable medium may include, but is not limited to: a magnetic storage device (e.g., a hard disk, a floppy disk or a magnetic tape), an optical disc (e.g., a compact disc (CD) or a Digital Versatile Disc (DVD)), a smart card and a flash memory device (e.g., an erasable programmable read-only memory (EPROM), a card, a stick or a key drive).Furthermore, the various storage media described in this document may represent one or more devices and / or other machine-readable media configured to store information. The term machine-readable media may include, but is not limited to, a radio channel and various other media that can store, include, and / or carry instructions and / or data.

[075] A method for sending DCI is described in detail below.

[076] When sending DCI, the network device can select a time-frequency resource block and send the DCIs in the selected time-frequency resource block. The terminal device can perform blind detection using multiple time-frequency resource blocks to obtain the DCIs.

[077] Optionally, DCIs can be ported using a Physical Downlink Control Channel (PDCCH). As shown in Figure 3, the network device performs, Petition 870250058551, dated 09 / 07 / 2025, page 30 / 66 17 / 36 first, CRC encoding in the DCIs to be sent to obtain a CRC, then scrambles the CRC with a Radio Network Temporary Identifier (RNTI) and antenna port information to obtain a scrambled sequence, concatenates the scrambled sequence with the DCIs, and performs channel encoding, modulation, mapping, and transmission procedures.

[078] The terminal device can use a processing mode shown in Figure 4. Specifically, the terminal device obtains a received signal, and performs unmapping, demodulation, and channel decoding on the received signal to obtain the scrambled sequence and the DCIs. The terminal device can perform a descramble operation on the scrambled sequence using a possible RNTI value and a possible antenna port information value to obtain a CRC, perform a verification operation using the DCIs and the CRC, and continue to perform blind detection if the verification fails.

[079] Channel coding, in the procedure shown in Figure 3, can improve the reliability of data transmission to ensure communication quality. A polar code proposed by the Turkish professor, Arikan, is the first code that can be theoretically proven to achieve Shannon capability and that has low encoding and decoding complexity. The polar code is a linear block code. A matrix of .......G„ . .... ...... encoding of the polar code isN, and a polar code encoding process . n -NcnN=(„ „. ,, t . ........ is xU1 GN, where u1(u1,u.·-··-·' is a binary row vector with a length of N (i.e., a code length), GN is a matrix AÃv = T7'®(log2(N)) / ?®(log2(N))Nxn, and Gn -F2 . F2 is defined as a Kronecker product of log2N matrices F2, and the matrix F2I-1 1I.

[080] In the polar code encoding process, some bits in uN are used to carry information and are called an information bit set, and an index set of these bits is denoted as A; and the other bits are set to fixed values that are pre-agreed by a receive termination and a transmit termination, and are called a fixed bit set or a frozen bit set. Petition 870250058551, dated 09 / 07 / 2025, p. 31 / 66 18 / 36 (frozen bits), and an index set of these bits is represented by a complementary set Ac of A. The polar code encoding process is . . xN = uAGN(A)®uAcGN(AC)m... , equivalent to:1 AN-' AN\ .. In this document, Gn (A) is a submatrix formed by rows in Gn that correspond to indices in the set A, and Gn (Ac) is a submatrix formed by rows in Gn that correspond to indices in the set Ac.uA is a set of information bits in u1, and there are N K bits of information. uA is a set of fixed bits in uN, there are (NK) fixed bits, and the fixed bits are known bits. The fixed bits are often set to 0. However, the fixed bits can be set randomly, as long as the fixed bits are pre-agreed upon by the receive termination and the transmit termination. Therefore, a polar code encoding output can be simplified as xN = uAGN(A). In this document, uA is a set of information bits in uN, iA is a row vector with a length of K, i.e., IAI = K, ' ' represents a quantity of elements in a set, K is a size of an information block, Gn(A) ... . ... . . G,. is a submatrix formed by rows in the matrix N that correspond to the indices in the set A, and Gn(A) is a KxN matrix.

[081] A polar code construction process is a process of selecting the setA, and the setA decides the performance of the polar code. The polar code construction process is often: determining, based on a code length N of a parent code, that N polarized channels in total exist, and correspond to N rows of a coding matrix, respectively; calculating the reliability of polarized channels; and using indices of the first K polarized channels with the highest reliability as elements of set A, and using indices that correspond to the remaining (NK) polarized channels as elements of the index set A of fixed bits. SetA is used to determine the location of an information bit, and setA is used to determine the location of a fixed bit. Petition 870250058551, dated 09 / 07 / 2025, p. 32 / 66 19 / 36

[082] It can be learned from the encoding matrix that a code length of an original polar code (mother code) is 2 raised to the integer power. During actual application, rate matching needs to be performed to obtain a polar code with any code length.

[083] Currently, polar coding includes: AC polar coding, PC polar coding, and PC-AC polar coding.

[084] For AC polar, PC polar, and PC-AC polar encoding, error detection or error correction can be performed using a CRC. For a decoding algorithm used in a polar decoding termination, a Successive Cancellation List (SCL) decoding algorithm can be used. When the SCL decoding algorithm is used, a decoding output can only be obtained after a plurality of checks using a CRC are performed. However, the plurality of checks using a CRC causes a loss in FAR. For example, for a CRC of x bits and a polar decoder list = L, FAR ~ = L * 2^x is equivalent where log2(L) bits are lost in the CRC. To satisfy a FAR = 2^16 requirement of a control channel, the number of bits in a CRC can be greater than 16, and is, for example, 18, 19, or 20.

[085] In a current scrambling scheme, a CRC length is assumed to be 16 bits. When an antenna port selection function in a closed loop of the terminal device is unavailable, the network device scrambles the 16-bit CRC with a 16-bit RNTI, to obtain a scrambled sequence.

[086] When the antenna port selection function in the closed loop of the terminal device is available, in addition to the 16-bit RNTI with which the 16-bit CRC is scrambled, a DCI 0 port format additionally provides antenna port information from the terminal device through further scrambling.

[087] For example, as shown in Figure 5, the length of a CRC is 16 bits. That is, the CRC includes bits b0, b1, b2, ..., b15. The network device can generate a scrambled sequence, i.e., a sequence c0, d, c2, ..., c15 based on an RNTI, and generate a sequence Petition 870250058551, dated 09 / 07 / 2025, p. 33 / 66 20 / 36 scrambled 3, that is, a sequence do, di, d2,..., di5 based on an antenna port. The network device can scramble the CRC with scrambled sequence 1 to obtain a once-scrambled sequence and then scramble the once-scrambled sequence with scrambled sequence 2 to obtain a scrambled sequence to be sent eA+i, eA+2, eA+3, ..., eA+i6. A sequence to be sent can be obtained by concatenating the scrambled sequence with the DCIs.

[088] However, in the scheme shown in Figure 5, a sequence obtained by scrambling a CRC with an RNTI and an antenna port may be the same as a sequence obtained by scrambling a CRC with another RNTI, or it may be the same as a sequence obtained by scrambling a CRC with another RNTI and another antenna port. As a result, the terminal device may obtain an incorrect RNTI and an incorrect antenna port through unscrambling.

[089] Therefore, the modalities of this application provide a method of wireless communication, so as to reduce the probability of a terminal device obtaining incorrect configuration information.

[090] Figure 6 is a schematic flowchart of a wireless communication method 100, according to an embodiment of this application. As shown in Figure 1, method 100 includes the following content.

[091] In step 110, a network device scrambles, with each configuration information part of a plurality of configuration information parts used to configure a terminal device, bits that are included in a DCI CRC and that correspond to each configuration information part, to obtain a scrambled sequence, in which at least one bit among bits that correspond to each configuration information part does not correspond to another configuration information part of the plurality of configuration information parts.

[092] Optionally, the configuration information in this mode of this request includes a terminal device RNTI and terminal device antenna port information.

[093] The terminal device's RNTI is information used to identify the terminal device during communication between the terminal device and the network device. Petition 870250058551, dated 09 / 07 / 2025, page 34 / 66 21 / 36

[094] Optionally, the RNTI may include a Serving Radio Network Controller (RNC) RNTI (S-RNTI), a Drift RNC RNTI (d-RNTI), a Cell RNTI (C-RNTI), a Terrestrial Radio Access Network-UMTS (UTRAN RNTI) RNTI (uRNTI), a Downlink Shared Channel (DSCH) RNTI (DSCH-RNTI), or similar.

[095] It should be understood that, with the development of wireless communications, a term indicating information to identify the terminal device during communication between the terminal device and the network device may change. That is, the information may no longer be called an RNTI. However, any term that identifies the terminal device during communication between the terminal device and the network device is covered by the scope of protection of this modality of this application.

[096] Optionally, an antenna port of the terminal device, in this embodiment of this application, may be used for terminal device communication. The antenna port may be a logic port or a physical port with an antenna property.

[097] Similar to an RNTI, any port with an antenna property is covered by the scope of protection of this modality of this application.

[098] It should be understood that, although in this embodiment of this application an RNTI and an antenna port are used as examples to describe this embodiment of this application, the configuration information, mentioned in this embodiment of this application, for terminal device configuration, may include any information that is configured by the network device and that is used to implement communication between the terminal device and the network device.

[099] Optionally, the number of bits in the CRC, in this embodiment of this application, may be 16, or it may be 18, 19, 20, or similar. Specifically, the number of bits included in the CRC may be determined based on a real case, for example, determined based on a channel coding scheme. This is not specifically limited in this embodiment of this application. Petition 870250058551, dated 09 / 07 / 2025, page 35 / 66 22 / 36

[0100] Optionally, the bits corresponding to each piece of configuration information, in this mode of this request, may be consecutive bits.

[0101] Optionally, if bits corresponding to multiple configuration information are consecutive bits, there may be a dummy separation bit (i.e., a bit that does not need to be shuffled with configuration information) or there may be no separation bit between bits corresponding to two adjacent configuration information.

[0102] Optionally, bits corresponding to the plurality of configuration information parts may be interleaved. When bits are interleaved, there may be a dummy bit separator or there may be no dummy bit separator between the bits.

[0103] Optionally, in this mode of this request, a sum of bit quantities corresponding to the plurality of configuration information parts is greater than or equal to a total bit quantity included in the CRC.

[0104] Optionally, when a sum of bit quantities corresponding to the plurality of configuration information parts is greater than or equal to a total number of bits included in the CRC, each bit in the CRC corresponds to at least one configuration information part.

[0105] In other words, when the sum of the number of bits that need to be scrambled with the plurality of configuration information parts is greater than or equal to the total length of the CRC, each bit in the CRC can be scrambled with configuration information. Thus, if the CRC has a limited length, the proportion of overlapping scrambling performed using configuration information can be minimized, so that the probability of the terminal device incorrectly unscrambled configuration information can be reduced.

[0106] Optionally, a sum of bit quantities corresponding to the plurality of configuration information parts is less than a total number of bits included in the CRC.

[0107] Optionally, when a sum of quantities of Petition 870250058551, dated 09 / 07 / 2025, page 36 / 66 If the number of bits corresponding to the plurality of configuration information parts is less than the total number of bits included in the CRC, each bit in the CRC corresponds to at most one configuration information part.

[0108] In other words, when the sum of the number of bits that need to be shuffled with the plurality of configuration information parts is less than the total length of the CRC, the CRC can be shuffled with the plurality of configuration information parts in a non-overlapping manner, so that the probability of incorrect shuffling can be further reduced.

[0109] Optionally, a scrambled sequence can be generated based on a plurality of configuration information parts, and the CRC is scrambled with the scrambled sequence, to obtain a scrambled sequence.

[0110] In a deployment, a scrambled sequence corresponding to each piece of configuration information can be generated based on the configuration information, and the CRC is scrambled with the scrambled sequence corresponding to the configuration information. An exclusive OU operation can be used as a shuffling operation for each scrambled sequence.

[0111] Optionally, the length of the scrambled sequence corresponding to each piece of configuration information can be equal to the length of the CRC.

[0112] Optionally, in the scrambled sequence corresponding to each piece of configuration information, a bit value other than bits carrying configuration information is 0.

[0113] In another deployment, a scrambled sequence can be generated based on each piece of configuration information. A shuffling operation is performed on a plurality of scrambled sequences to obtain sequences used to shuffle the CRC. The CRC is scrambled with the sequence used to shuffle the CRC.

[0114] Optionally, in this modality of this request, the amount of configuration information with which the CRC is scrambled is not limited in this modality of this request. However, for a clearer understanding of this request, the fact that the plurality of parties of Petition 870250058551, dated 09 / 07 / 2025, page 37 / 66 24 / 36 configuration information includes first configuration information and second configuration information is used as an example below for detailed description.

[0115] Specifically, the first configuration information corresponds to the first M bits of a CRC, and the second configuration information corresponds to the second N bits of the CRC. The first M bits are scrambled with the first configuration information, and the second N bits are scrambled with the second configuration information.

[0116] Optionally, the initial configuration information is used to indicate a configured RNTI for the terminal device.

[0117] Optionally, the second configuration information is used to indicate an antenna port configured for the terminal device for communication.

[0118] The first M bits can be consecutive bits, and the second N bits can be consecutive bits.

[0119] There may be a dummy bit separating the first M consecutive bits and the second N consecutive bits. For example, as shown in Figure 7, the first M bits and the second N bits are separated by r dummy bits.

[0120] There may be no dummy bit separating the first M consecutive bits and the second N consecutive bits, for example, a case shown in Figure 8.

[0121] Optionally, the sum of the quantities of M and N can be less than the total number of bits included in the CRC, for example, a case shown in Figure 9. A dark filled area is an overlap of the first bits and the second bits.

[0122] Optionally, a sum of quantities M and N can be equal to the total number of bits included in the CRC, for example, the case shown in Figure 8.

[0123] Optionally, the number of M and N can be greater than or equal to the total number of bits included in the CRC, for example, a case shown in Figure 10.

[0124] It should be understood that, although the first M bits are Petition 870250058551, dated 09 / 07 / 2025, p. 38 / 66 25 / 36 located before the N second bits, in Figures 7 to 10, this mode of this request is not limited to them. The N second bits can be located before the first M bits, in this mode of this request.

[0125] Optionally, a scrambled sequence can be generated based on first configuration information and second configuration information, and the CRC is scrambled with the scrambled sequence to obtain a scrambled sequence.

[0126] In an deployment, a second scrambled sequence is determined based on the first configuration information and the second configuration information, wherein the length of the second scrambled sequence is equal to the length occupied by the first M bits and the second N bits in the CRC, wherein the second scrambled sequence includes M third bits and N fourth bits, the M third bits carry the first configuration information, and the N fourth bits carry the second configuration information; and the CRC is scrambled with the second scrambled sequence.

[0127] For example, as shown in Figure 11, the CRC length is 19 bits. That is, the CRC includes bits bo, b1, b2, ..., b18. Bits bo, b1, b2, ..., b15 can be used to scramble the RNTI. Bits bw, b17, bw can be used to scramble the antenna port. A scrambled sequence of 19 bits 3, i.e., co, d, c2, ..., cw, can be generated based on the RNTI and the antenna port. Bits co, d, c2, ..., c15 in the scrambled sequence carry the RNTI, and bits c16, c17, c18 in the scrambled sequence 3 carry antenna port information. The network device can scramble the bits bo, b1, b2, ..., bw included in the CRC with a scrambled sequence 1, to obtain a scrambled sequence 6a+1, eA+2, eA+3, ..., eA+19. A sequence to be sent can be obtained by concatenating the scrambled sequence with the DCIs.

[0128] In another deployment, a third scrambled sequence is determined based on the first configuration information, wherein the third scrambled sequence includes M fifth bits; the first M bits are scrambled with the third scrambled sequence; a fourth scrambled sequence is determined based on the second configuration information, wherein the fourth scrambled sequence includes N sixth bits; and the N second bits are scrambled with the fourth scrambled sequence. Petition 870250058551, dated 09 / 07 / 2025, p. 39 / 66 26 / 36

[0129] For example, as shown in Figure 12, the CRC length is 19 bits. That is, the CRC includes bits bo, b1, b2, ..., b18. Bits bo, b1, b2, ..., b15 can be used to scramble the RNTI, and bits bw, b17, bw can be used to scramble the antenna port. A scrambled sequence 4, that is, the sequence co, d, c2, ..., c15, can be generated based on the RNTI. A scrambled sequence 5, that is, the sequence cw, c17, c18, can be generated based on the antenna port. The network device can scramble the bits bo, b1, b2, ..., b15 included in the CRC with the scrambled sequence 4, and scramble the bits b16, b17, bw included in the CRC with the scrambled sequence 5. Therefore, a scrambled sequence 6a+1, eA+2, eA+3, ..., eA+19 can be obtained. A sequence to be sent can be obtained by concatenating the scrambled sequence with the DCIs.

[0130] Optionally, a number of bits included in the third scrambled sequence is greater than M, and a length of the third scrambled sequence is equal to a length of the CRC. Optionally, a bit value other than the first M bits in the third scrambled sequence is 0.

[0131] Optionally, a number of bits included in the fourth scrambled sequence is greater than N, and a length of the fourth scrambled sequence is equal to a length of the CRC. Optionally, a bit value other than the N second bits in the fourth scrambled sequence is 0.

[0132] For example, as shown in Figure 13, the CRC length is 19 bits. That is, the CRC includes bits bo, b1, b2, ..., bw. Bits bo, b1, b2, ..., b15 can be used to scramble the RNTI. Bits b16, b17, bw can be used to scramble the antenna port. A scrambled sequence 6, i.e., a sequence that has a total of 19 bits co, c1, c2, ..., c15, 0, 0, 0, can be generated based on the RNTI, and a scrambled sequence 7, i.e., a sequence that has a total of 19 bits 0, 0, ..., 0, cw, c17, cw, can be generated based on the antenna port. The network device can scramble the CRC with scrambled sequence 6, and scramble the CRC with scrambled sequence 7. In this way, a scrambled sequence eA+1, eA+2, eA+3, ..., eA+19 can be obtained. A sequence to be sent can be obtained by concatenating the scrambled sequence with the DCIs. The method for generating Petition 870250058551, dated 09 / 07 / 2025, p. 40 / 66 27 / 36 a scrambled sequence and the shuffling method, according to this embodiment of this application, have been described below with reference to Figure 11 to Figure 13. However, this application may have additional other implementations.

[0133] For example, a scrambled sequence A can be generated based on all of the first configuration information and a portion of the second configuration information. A scrambled sequence B is generated based on a remaining portion of the second configuration information. The CRC is scrambled with scrambled sequence A, and the sequence that was scrambled with scrambled sequence A is further scrambled with scrambled sequence B. A length of scrambled sequence A and a length of scrambled sequence B are both equal to the length of the CRC. Scrambled sequence A includes P bits carrying all of the first configuration information and Q bits carrying the portion of the second configuration information. P bits and Q bits do not overlap. H bits in scrambled sequence B carry the remaining portion of the second configuration information.H bits are usually scrambled, with at least some bits in the sequence once scrambled, which are scrambled with the initial configuration information.

[0134] Optionally, the network device can determine a first scrambled sequence based on the antenna port configured for the terminal device for communication and a mapping relationship between a plurality of antenna ports and a plurality of scrambled sequences (for example, as shown in Table 1 to Table 3 below); and scramble the N second bits with the first scrambled sequence. Table 1 Antenna Port Scrambled Sequence Port 0 <0, 0, 0> Port 1 <1, 1, 1> or <0, 0, 1> or <1, 0, 0> Petition 870250058551, dated 09 / 07 / 2025, p. 41 / 66 28 / 36 Table 2 Antenna Port Scrambled Sequence Port 0 <0, 0> Port 1 <1, 1> or <0, 1> or <1, 0> Table 3 Antenna port Scrambled sequence Port 0 <0> Door 1 <1>

[0135] Optionally, a number of bits included in the first scrambled sequence can be equal to a number of bits that corresponds to the antenna port in the CRC.

[0136] Optionally, corresponding bits in the CRC can be scrambled directly with the antenna port, or a scrambling operation can be performed on a scrambled sequence that corresponds to the CRC, to obtain a sequence used to scramble the CRC, and the CRC is scrambled with the sequence used to scramble the CRC.

[0137] Optionally, the scrambled sequence, mentioned in this form of this application, may also be called a scrambled mask or a mask sequence.

[0138] Optionally, the shuffling operation, in this type of request, can be an exclusive OR operation or another operation.

[0139] In step 120, the network device sends the DCI and the scrambled sequence to the terminal device.

[0140] Optionally, polar encoding is performed on the DCI and scrambled sequence to obtain encoded bits; and the encoded bits are sent to the terminal device.

[0141] In step 130, the DCI downlink control information and the scrambled sequence sent by the network device are obtained, where bits corresponding to the scrambled sequence are scrambled with each piece of configuration information from Petition 870250058551, dated 09 / 07 / 2025, page 42 / 66 29 / 36 plurality of configuration information parts used to configure the terminal device by the network device, each configuration information part corresponds to at least one bit in the scrambled sequence, and at least one bit among the bits that correspond to each configuration information part does not correspond to another configuration information part of the plurality of configuration information parts.

[0142] Optionally, the terminal device obtains a received signal; and performs SCL decoding on the received signal, to obtain the DCI and the scrambled sequence.

[0143] Optionally, the bits that correspond to each piece of configuration information are consecutive bits.

[0144] Optionally, the initial configuration information is used to indicate a temporary radio network identifier (RNTI) configured for the terminal device by the network device.

[0145] Optionally, the second configuration information is used to indicate an antenna port configured for the terminal device by the network device for communication.

[0146] Optionally, when a sum of bit quantities corresponding to the plurality of configuration information parts is greater than or equal to a total number of bits included in the scrambled sequence, each bit in the scrambled sequence corresponds to at least one configuration information part.

[0147] Optionally, when a sum of bit quantities corresponding to the plurality of configuration information parts is less than a total number of bits included in the scrambled sequence, each bit in the scrambled sequence corresponds to, at most, one configuration information part.

[0148] Optionally, the plurality of configuration information parts includes first configuration information and second configuration information, wherein the first configuration information corresponds to the first M bits in the scrambled sequence, and the second configuration information corresponds to the second N bits in the scrambled sequence. The first M bits are unscrambled based on a possible value of the first configuration information, and the second N bits Petition 870250058551, dated 09 / 07 / 2025, page 43 / 66 30 / 36 are unscrambled based on a possible value from the second set of configuration information.

[0149] In step 140, the bits that correspond to each piece of configuration information are unscrambled based on one possible value for each piece of configuration information, to obtain an unscrambled sequence.

[0150] Optionally, a first unscrambled sequence is determined based on an antenna port possibly configured for the terminal device by the network device for communication and a mapping relationship between a plurality of antenna ports and a plurality of scrambled sequences; and the N second bits are unscrambled using the first unscrambled sequence.

[0151] Optionally, a second unscrambled sequence is determined based on a possible value of the first configuration information and a possible value of the second configuration information, wherein the length of the second unscrambled sequence is equal to the length occupied by the first M bits and the second N bits in the scrambled sequence, wherein the second unscrambled sequence includes M third bits and N fourth bits, the M third bits carry a possible value of the first configuration information, and the N fourth bits carry a possible value of the second configuration information; and the scrambled sequence is unscrambled using the second unscrambled sequence.

[0152] Optionally, a third unscrambled sequence is determined based on a possible value of the first configuration information, wherein the third unscrambled sequence includes M fifth bits; the first M bits are unscrambled using the third unscrambled sequence; a fourth unscrambled sequence is determined based on a possible value of the second configuration information, wherein the fourth unscrambled sequence includes N sixth bits; and the N second bits are unscrambled using the fourth unscrambled sequence.

[0153] In an implementation, the number of bits included in the third unscrambled sequence is greater than M, and the length of Petition 870250058551, dated 09 / 07 / 2025, page 44 / 66 31 / 36 The third unscrambled sequence is equal to the length of the CRC. Optionally, a bit value other than the first M bits in the third unscrambled sequence is 0.

[0154] In an implementation, the number of bits included in the fourth unscrambled sequence is greater than N, and the length of the fourth unscrambled sequence is equal to the length of the CRC. Optionally, a bit value other than the N second bits in the fourth unscrambled sequence is 0.

[0155] In step 150, a verification operation is performed using the unscrambled sequence and the DCI.

[0156] Therefore, in this embodiment of this request, the bits that are included in the cyclic redundancy check (CRC) of the downlink control information (DCI) and that correspond to each configuration information piece are scrambled with each configuration information piece of the plurality of configuration information pieces used to configure a terminal device, to obtain the scrambled sequence, in which at least one bit among the bits that correspond to each configuration information piece does not correspond to another configuration information piece of the plurality of configuration information pieces. When compared to a case where each bit that corresponds to at least one configuration information piece corresponds to another configuration information piece, the probability of obtaining incorrect configuration information through unscrambling can be reduced.
