Abstract

According to certain embodiments, a method for use in a wireless device to transmit uplink control information (UCI) on lease-free resources comprises reserving a subset of time / frequency resources of a lease-free uplink channel to transmit UCI, and upon determining that the wireless device has UCI to transmit on the lease-free uplink channel, transmitting the UCI to a network node on the reserved subset of time / frequency resources.
