Abstract
Description
1 / 21 Rewinding machine and method for producing paper material cylinders. DESCRIPTION
[0001] The present invention relates to a rewinder and a method for producing paper material cylinders.
[0002] It is known that the production of paper rolls, from which, for example, toilet paper rolls or kitchen paper rolls are obtained, involves feeding a paper web, formed by one or more overlapping layers, along a predetermined path along which several operations are performed before forming the rolls, including a transverse perforation of the web to form pre-cut lines that divide it into detachable sheets. The formation of the rolls typically involves the use of cardboard tubes, commonly called cores, on whose surface a predetermined amount of glue is distributed to allow the paper web to adhere to the cores gradually introduced into the machine that produces the rolls, commonly called a rewinder. The glue is applied to the cores as they pass along a corresponding path comprising a terminal section commonly called a cradle due to its concave shape. The formation of the cylinders also involves the use of winding rollers that force each core to rotate around its own longitudinal axis, thus determining the winding of the weft onto the same core. The process ends when a predetermined number of sheets are wound onto the core, with the gluing of a flap from the last sheet onto the underlying sheet of the roll thus formed (the so-called flap gluing operation). When the number... Petition 870220043473, dated 05 / 19 / 2022, page 10 / 43 When a predetermined 2 / 21 of the core-wound sheets is reached, the last sheet of the cylinder to be completed is separated from the first sheet of the next cylinder, for example, by means of compressed air directed to a corresponding pre-cut line. At this point, the cylinder is discharged from the rewinder. European patent EP1700805 discloses a rewinder operating according to the operational scheme described above. The cylinders are then transported to a damping unit that provides one or more cutting machines through which the cylinders are cut in order to obtain the rolls in the desired format.
[0003] European patent EP2045201 describes a rewinder in which the application of glue to the weft to perform flap gluing is done by a roller that is moved alternately to and from the paper weft upstream of the winding rollers.
[0004] European patent EP2084092B1 also describes a rewinder in which the application of glue to the weft to perform flap gluing is done upstream of the winding rolls by means of a diverter that is cyclically in contact with the paper weft to push the latter towards a fixed applicator roll placed on the opposite side.
[0005] The English patent GB1167767 also discloses a system for applying glue to a paper web by diverting the path followed by the web itself so that, due to the diversion of the web's path, the web comes into contact with an applicator roller that is provided with a radial pad to distribute the glue onto the paper web by contact.
[0006] US Patent 2006 / 076450 A1 discloses a rewinding machine with a gluing device for gluing the end edge of the cylinders that is arranged and operated by Petition 870220043473, dated 05 / 19 / 2022, p. 11 / 43 3 / 21 method that distributes glue inside the winding station of the rewinding machine.
[0007] The main objective of the present invention is to improve the bonding of the closing flap, or end edge, of cylinders made of paper material.
[0008] It is known that, for the production of a cylinder with ideal characteristics, gluing the first sheet of the cylinder to the core would require a different procedure than gluing the last sheet to complete the cylinder. In fact, the glue used to glue the first sheet to the core should preferably be relatively light because it must keep the paper web glued to the core only in the initial stages of winding; furthermore, this glue must allow the complete detachment of the paper from the core being processed when it is used, without causing damage and waste of paper. On the contrary, preferably, the glue used to glue the end flap or end edge should be relatively strong because the glue must hold the last sheet to the underlying paper layer during all phases after the flap is glued, i.e., it must maintain the formed cylinder in its wrapping conformation (with the flap properly glued) during the following handling phases, possible temporary storage and cutting of the cylinder to obtain the paper rolls that form the final products; the gluing of the flap must also hold up during final packaging operations.
[0009] Among the purposes of the present invention is, therefore, to provide a rewinder and an operating method that allows the aforementioned operations to be implemented in an ideal manner. Petition 870220043473, dated 05 / 19 / 2022, page 12 / 43 4 / 21
[00010] This result was achieved, according to the present invention, by providing a rewinder and a method for producing paper cylinders with the characteristics indicated in the independent claims. Other features of the present invention are the subject of the dependent claims.
[00011] Among the advantages offered by the present invention, the following can be listed: it is possible to use glues of a different type and / or viscosity or formulation to glue the paper web to the core at the beginning of the winding and, respectively, the final flap of the cylinder being completed; the glue distribution is extremely precise; if colored glues are used, it is possible to form designs in the web during the gluing of the flap; it is possible to reduce the risk of the glue spreading uncontrollably inside the rewinder and on the web during rewinding.
[00012] The aforementioned advantages and features of the present invention will be better understood by anyone skilled in the art thanks to the following description and the accompanying drawings, provided by way of example, but should not be considered in a limiting sense, in which: - Fig. 1 is a schematic side view of a machine according to the present invention; Figures 2-4 schematically show other operational configurations of the glue distribution unit upstream of the winding station of the machine shown in Figure 1; - Figures 5-8 show, respectively, a schematic front view, an enlarged detail, a schematic side view, and a cross-sectional view according to the Petition 870220043473, dated 05 / 19 / 2022, page 13 / 43 5 / 21 CC line of a cushion support roller according to a possible embodiment of the present invention; - Fig. 9 is a schematic perspective view of a cushion support roller made as shown in Figs. 5-8; - Fig. 10 is a representation similar to Fig. 9 in which a portion of the pad and plate (602) are not shown in order to better show the underlying springs (603). - Figures 11-13 show an additional embodiment of a cushion support roller according to the present invention.
[00013] With reference to the attached drawings, a rewinder (RW) for the production of cylinders made of paper material according to the present invention is the type comprising: means (R1, R2, R5, R6, R7) for feeding a continuous web of paper material (2) along a first predetermined path; means (30, 31) adapted for making a series of discontinuous cross-cuts to divide the web (2) into detachable sheets of predetermined length;means for feeding tubular cores (1) along a second predetermined path that joins said first path corresponding to a coupling channel (C) in which said cores (1) are associated with said web (2), said channel (C) being disposed upstream of a winding station or cylinder forming station (W) in which, on each of said cores (2), a predetermined quantity of said web is wound (2) comprising an upper end, defining the first sheet and a rear end, defining the last sheet of the cylinder; and the first sizing means adapted to release a; Petition 870220043473, dated 05 / 19 / 2022, p. 14 / 43 6 / 21 predetermined amount of glue to glue the first sheet to the core (1) and the second sizing means adapted to release a predetermined amount of glue intended to glue the last sheet of the cylinder to the underlying paper layer of the same cylinder, i.e. to complete the cylinder.
[00014] With reference to the examples shown in the drawings, the means (R1, R2, R5, R6, R7) for feeding the weft (2) along the first predetermined path comprise a plurality of weft guide rollers arranged with their axes of rotation parallel to each other. In particular, these rollers are arranged with their respective axes oriented horizontally according to the scheme known to those skilled in the art. One of said rollers (R2) is placed at the winding station (W) and, at the same time, is an end roller guiding the weft (2) and a winding roller, i.e., a roller which, in cooperation with other rollers, determines the winding of the weft (2) around the cores (1) which gradually reach the winding station (W). For this reason, roller (R2) will be referred to as the first winding roller hereafter.
[00015] With reference to the examples shown in the drawings, the means for providing the discontinuous cross-sections in the weft (2) may consist of two horizontal axis cutting rolls (30, 31) of the known type, arranged opposite to the two sides of the path followed by the weft (2), downstream of a series of weft guide rolls (R5, R6, R7) arranged upstream in relation to the direction followed by the weft (2). The weft guide rolls (R5, R6, R7) may, in turn, receive the weft from one or more reels placed upstream, so that the weft (2) is composed of a single layer of paper or Petition 870220043473, dated 05 / 19 / 2022, p. 15 / 43 7 / 21 more layers of paper superimposed according to known methods which, therefore, are not described further. In the drawings, the direction of origin of the weave (2) is denoted by the arrows F2.
[00016] Downstream of the pre-cutting station formed by the two opposite cutting rollers (30, 31), the warp (2) is therefore provided with pre-cutting lines allowing a controlled tearing of the warp which, in this way, is divided into detachable sheets.
[00017] The coupling channel (C) also has a substantially known structure: it is defined by a lower concave structure (C2) arranged below and opposite the first winder roll (R2). The channel (C) is open upstream, i.e., corresponding to the output (100B) of the device (100) for moving the cores (1), described below, and ends downstream at the winding station (W).
[00018] In the winding station (W) there are two other winding rolls (R3, R4) having a horizontal axis, which cooperate with the first winding roll (R2) according to a mechanism known per se: in practice, rotating with a predetermined angular velocity and direction each around its own longitudinal axis, the rolls (R2, R3, R4) determine the winding of a predetermined quantity of weft (2) around each core (1) that reaches the winding station (W). According to the example shown in the drawings and according to a mechanical configuration known per se, the other two winding rolls (R3) and (R4) which are located downstream of the aforementioned channel (C) in relation to the direction (Fl) of origin of the cores (1) and are arranged opposite to each other. According to the example shown in the drawings, roll (R3) and roll (R4) are placed in Petition 870220043473, dated 05 / 19 / 2022, page 16 / 43 8 / 21 respective arms (B3, B4), each connected to an actuator (A3, A4), allowing movement of these rollers to and from the arrival point of the cores (1). The longitudinal axes of the rollers (R2, R3, R4) are parallel to each other.
[00019] According to the example shown in the drawings, the first dimensioning means comprises a glue distributor (8) located and acting in correspondence with a device (100) to feed the cores (1) arranged upstream of the winding station (W) and upstream of the coupling channel (C).
[00020] In practice, the cores (1) are moved by a known type of feeding device (100) that transports the cores (1) to the coupling channel (C), the cores coming from an upstream core storage area (S) consisting, for example, of a core storage, a core buffer or other similar equipment. For example, according to a known mechanical configuration per se, the device (100) that supplies the cores (1) to the winding station (W) consists of a plurality of lower annular belts (5) arranged side by side and a plurality of upper fixed plates (4) also arranged side by side, so as to provide lower support for the cores (1) and at the same time move the cores by rolling them along the aforementioned direction (FI).The RF reference in the drawings denotes a mechanical feeder, of the known type, which picks up the cores (1) from the core storage area (S) and inserts them into the feed device (100).
[00021] According to the example shown in the drawings, the device (100) moves each core (1) downstream, making it Petition 870220043473, dated 05 / 19 / 2022, page 17 / 43 9 / 21 pass from an inlet (100A) to an outlet (100B) that ends in the coupling channel (C) where the core (1) is joined to the said head end of the weft portion (2) intended for the cylinder being formed. In practice, the core (1), already subjected to the action of the glue dispenser (8), enters the channel (C) where the glue applied to the core (1) itself determines the coupling with a first sheet or head end of the weft (2) that reaches the channel because it is dragged around the roller (R2). The roller (R2) is provided with a mechanism (9) adapted to determine the separation of the weft portion (2) that formed the cylinder to be completed and the weft portion (2) that will form the next cylinder. The said mechanism (9) may consist of a plurality of nozzles distributed along the length of the cylinder provided within the roller (R2) and adapted to direct a jet of air through corresponding perforated parts of the roller (R2), as is known, for example, from European patent EP1700805.
[00022] In a rewinder (RW) according to the invention, the second sizing means are arranged and act upstream of said coupling channel (C) and comprise a roller (6) provided with a pad (60) adapted to release glue onto said weft (2) by contact. The roller (6) will be referred to as the pad support roller hereafter.
[00023] With reference to the example shown in the drawings, the cushion retaining roller (6) is opposite a weft guide roller (R1) which guides the weft (2) which, in this way, acts as a counter-support roller for the weft itself when applying the glue. The cushion support roller (6) is parallel to the guide roller (R1) and the winding rollers (R2, R3, R4) and is connected to a Petition 870220043473, dated 05 / 19 / 2022, p. 18 / 43 10 / 21 respective rotary actuator (schematically denoted by reference 61 in the drawings) which controls its rotation around its own longitudinal axis. The dotted circular line indicated by reference T60 in the drawings shows the circular path followed by the pad (60) when the pad support roller (6) is rotated.
[00024] According to an embodiment shown in the drawings, said pad (60) is a body that projects radially from the outer surface of the pad support roller (6); in other words, the pad (60) is a radial appendage of the pad support roller (6).
[00025] According to the example shown in the drawings, the cushion support roller (6) is arranged and acts between a glue dispensing device (7) and the counter roller (R1).
[00026] The glue distribution device (7) comprises a tank (71) to which is associated an anilox roller (70) intended to transfer the glue to the pad (60). In practice, the roller (6) supporting the pad (60) is spaced at such a distance from the anilox roller (70) as to determine the cyclic interaction of the pad (60) with the anilox roller (70) to transfer the glue onto the pad itself. The pad (60) impregnated with glue comes into cyclic contact with the weft (2) coming from the guide roller (R1) arranged upstream. The contact between the pad (60) and the weft (2) is facilitated by the fact that the weft rests against the roller (R1) during said contact.
[00027] The pad (60) may be a single body, extending longitudinally along the entire length of the roller (6). Alternatively, the pad (60) may be divided into several side-by-side portions (60X), as shown Petition 870220043473, dated 05 / 19 / 2022, p. 19 / 43 11 / 21 schematically in Fig. 7 and Fig. 9. The cushion (60) can also be provided with suitably shaped reliefs to produce graphic effects on the weave (2), in particular when the glue is colored glue.
[00028] According to the present invention, it is possible to differentiate the type and / or viscosity, or the chemical characteristics of the glue dispensed by the first dimensioning means (that intended to bond the mesh 2 to the core 1) in relation to the glue dispensed by the second dimensioning means (flange glue).
[00029] The aforementioned first and second dimensioning means are synchronized with the winding means arranged in the winding station (W) in order to apply the glue to the first sheet of the cylinder to be formed and, respectively, the glue corresponding to the last sheet of the cylinder to be completed.
[00030] The application of glue to the weave (2) by the cushion (60) is further shown below.
[00031] The pad (60) extends longitudinally in the pad support roll (6), so as to allow the distribution of the glue along the entire width of the weft (2). As stated above, the pad (60) can be a single body or can be divided into several portions (60X). Therefore, it is possible to distribute the glue on the weft (2) continuously and discontinuously across the weft. In other words, the distribution of the glue on the weft can also extend discontinuously along the width of the weft (2).
[00032] Preferably, according to the present invention, the cushion (60) is elastically mounted on the cushion support roller (6). For example, with reference to embodiment Petition 870220043473, dated 05 / 19 / 2022, p. 20 / 43 12 / 21 shown in Figs. 5-10, the pad (60) is mounted on a radial appendage (600) of the roller (6) which has an inner side integral with the roller surface and an opposite outer side on which a support (601) is formed; on the lower edges of the support a lower part (60L) of the pad (60) is hooked; the pad, viewed in cross-section, is substantially C-shaped and therefore has an inner surface (60G) facing the support (601). Between the inner face (60G) of the pad (60) and the support (601) a plate (602) is positioned. Below the plate (602) are positioned elastic means (603), for example, helical springs housed in suitable cavities (607) formed in the radial appendage (600) and oriented radially with respect to the roller (6).
[00033] In this way, depending on the compression state of the pad (60), the latter can move elastically in the appendage (600) as indicated schematically by the double arrow R60, that is, in a radial or substantially radial direction in relation to the roller (6).
[00034] Alternatively, with reference to the embodiment illustrated in Figs. 11-13, the pad (60) is mounted on a plate (604) which, on the opposite side, is fixed between two retaining blocks (605, 606) integral with the pad support roller (6). As shown in the figures, in this case, the pad (60) is on a free side of the aforementioned plate (opposite side to the side held by blocks 605, 606). Therefore, depending on the compression state of the pad (60), the latter can move elastically to and from the roller (6), as indicated schematically by the double arrow R60. Petition 870220043473, dated 05 / 19 / 2022, p. 21 / 43 13 / 21
[00035] According to both examples described above, the cushion (60) is mounted on a support that moves elastically towards the cushion support roller (6) when pressure is applied to the cushion (60) and automatically moves in the opposite direction returning to its initial configuration when the cushion (60) is unloaded, i.e., not subjected to pressure.
[00036] The cushion (60) can be made, for example, of PTFE or Polyzene or Polyethylene, that is to say, of a so-called non-stick plastic material with non-stick properties.
[00037] Advantageously, the actuator (61) is adapted to control the rotation of the pad (6) as described below.
[00038] Figs. 1-4 show four possible steps of a production method for producing paper cylinders according to the present invention.
[00039] Fig. 1 shows the pad (60) that collected the glue from the anilox roll (70). The passage of glue from the anilox roll (70) to the pad (60) occurs thanks to the contact between the pad and the roll (70). At this stage, a core (1) with a paper weft layer (2) wound on it is in the winding station (W) where it is made to rotate by the rolls (R2), (R3) and (R4) in a manner known per se and therefore not described in detail; another core (1), already subjected to the action of the glue dispenser (8), is ready to be fed into the channel (C). In the winding station (W), the weft paper (2) continues to be wound around the core (1) positioned between the rolls of the winding station, thus forming the paper winding (20) of the cylinder being formed.
[00040] Fig. 2 shows a subsequent process step in which the roller (6) transports the cushion (60) in Petition 870220043473, dated 05 / 19 / 2022, p. 22 / 43 14 / 21 contact with the web (2) immediately upstream of the perforation that separates the last sheet of the cylinder being completed and the first sheet of the next cylinder to be produced. At this stage, the peripheral speed of the pad (60) is less than the speed of the web (2) directed to the winding station (W). For example, the peripheral speed of the pad (60) has a value between 20% and 50% of the speed of the web (2). Preferably, at this stage, the peripheral speed of the pad (60) has a value between 30% and 40% of the speed of the web (2) and even more preferably, a value between 30% and 35% of the speed of the web (2). Therefore, there is a more prolonged contact between the pad (60) and the web (2) which, therefore, collects from the pad (60) all, or substantially all, of the glue that the pad previously collected from the glue feeding device (7, 70).Therefore, at the end of this stage, that is, when the pad (60) is no longer in contact with the web (2) because the roller (6) continues to rotate, the pad (60) is substantially dry. Consequently, a more prolonged contact between the pad (60) and the web (2) is obtained, and this drastically reduces the risk of glue dripping due to gravity or being centrifugally projected from the pad, soiling the surrounding areas of the machine, and prepares the pad for a more complete glue collection in the next stage, since all or substantially all of the glue is transferred from the pad (60) to the paper web (2). In other words, after contact with the continuous sheet, the pad (60) is dry or substantially dry, and this allows, in the next stage of contact with the anilox roller, a more correct transfer of glue to the pad. That is. Petition 870220043473, dated 05 / 19 / 2022, p. 23 / 43 15 / 21 ensures high precision in the distribution of glue on the paper sheet during contact with the pad (60). When using a pad (60) placed on an elastic support, the transfer of glue from the pad to the mesh (2) is further enhanced.
[00041] Fig. 3 shows the pad (60) in a standby or inoperative position upstream of the glue feeding device (7, 70). Therefore, cyclically, the roller (6) transports the pad (60) in the glue collection position from the glue distribution device (7, 70), then in the contact position with the weft (2) and finally in the inoperative position, so that the contact of the pad (60) with the weft (2) is prolonged due to the aforementioned difference between the peripheral speed of the pad (60) and the speed of the weft (2) directed to the winding station (W). At the same time, a core (1) is introduced into the channel (C) and the mechanism (9) is activated to determine the separation of the sheets along the predetermined barrel line, as mentioned earlier. Fig. 4 shows the glue collection step by the pad (60) corresponding to the anilox roller (70).
[00042] The closing of the formed cylinder flap and the removal of the latter from the winding station (W) occurs in a manner known to those skilled in the art and, therefore, not described in more detail. At this stage, the upper end of the first sheet of the next cylinder to be formed comes into contact with the core (1) in which the next cylinder will be formed, joining to the same core thanks to the glue previously in the core. In practice, the weft is interrupted thanks to the action of the mechanism formed by the nozzles (9) and the ends of the weft thus obtained constitute respectively Petition 870220043473, dated 05 / 19 / 2022, page 24 / 43 16 / 21 the tail end used to close the flap of the formed cylinder and the head end to start winding the weft onto the core of the new cylinder to be formed. As mentioned earlier, the steps of preparing the weft (2) for winding onto the cores (1) and winding the weft onto the cores in a machine of the type described above are known to those skilled in the art: the weft (2), passing through a series of weft guide rollers (R5, R6, R7), reaches a pre-cut station comprising the cutting rollers (30, 31) which produce, in the weft (2), a series of pre-cut lines that divide it into a detachable sheet. One of said pre-cut lines is that used by the nozzles (9) in the winding station (W) to separate the downstream weft tail (which defines the closing flap of the cylinder to be completed) from the upstream weft head (which is glued to the core of the next cylinder to be formed);the cores (1) are moved by the device (100) which transports them towards the coupling channel (C); in passing through the device (100), each core (1) is subjected to the action of the glue dispenser (8) through a set of glue dispensing nozzles (80); the glue dispenser
[00043] (8), according to the example shown in the drawings, represents the aforementioned first means of dimensioning to apply the glue, that is, the means to dispense the glue intended to bind the weft (2) to the cores (1); once a core (1) has entered the channel (C), the glue dispensed on the core (1) determines its coupling with the first sheet, or head end, of the weft (2) that reaches the channel because it is dragged around the roller (R2); the roller (R2), according to; Petition 870220043473, dated 05 / 19 / 2022, p. 25 / 43 17 / 21 the example described, is provided with the weft interruption mechanism, which in the example described above is formed by the nozzles
[00044] (9) provided inside the roll (R2), adapted to determine the detachment of the weft portion (2) that formed the cylinder being completed and the weft portion (2) that will form the next cylinder.
[00045] More generally, the present invention is applicable to a rewinder comprising: feeding means (R1, R5, R6, R7) for feeding a continuous paper web (2) along a predetermined path (F2) for feeding the paper web (2) at a predetermined feed rate; - pre-cutting means (30, 31) adapted to provide a series of discontinuous transverse pre-cutting lines to divide the web (2) into sheets of predetermined length; - winding means (R2, R3, R4), arranged in a winding station (W) located downstream of said weft feeding means, adapted for winding the weft (2) to make cylinders (20) of paper material; - dimensioning means arranged and acting along the said feed path (F2) of the web (2), with a glue application pad (60) adapted to cyclically apply glue by contact to the web (2) in the vicinity of a pre-cut line thereof, said pad (60) being mounted on a pad support device (6) connected to a corresponding actuator (61); wherein the aforementioned dimensioning means are located upstream of the aforementioned winding station (W); and Petition 870220043473, dated 05 / 19 / 2022, p. 26 / 43 18 / 21 - when the pad (60) is in contact with the weft (2), the pad (60) is moved by the pad support device (6) at a lower speed than the speed at which the weft (2) is fed along the respective feed path (F2) in order to determine prolonged contact of the pad (60) with the weft (2) while the pad (60) and the weft (2) move.
[00046] Preferably, the speed of the pad (60) in contact with the weft (2) has a value between 20% and 50% of the speed of the weft (2). More preferably, at this stage, the peripheral speed of the pad (60) has a value of the speed of the weft (2) and even more preferably, a value between 30% and 35% of the speed of the weft (2).
[00047] Advantageously, the pad support device (6) is a roller adapted to rotate around its respective longitudinal axis under the control of a respective actuator (61).
[00048] Furthermore, advantageously, when the cushion (60) comes into contact with the weft (2), the latter rests against a roller (Rl) arranged along the feed path (F2) of the weft (2) mentioned above.
[00049] According to the present invention, it is also advantageously provided that the cushion (60) is mounted on the cushion support device (6) by means of an elastic support that deforms elastically, so that the cushion (60) moves elastically towards the cushion support (6) when subjected to pressure and automatically moves in the opposite direction, returning to its configuration when the cushion (60) is no longer subjected to pressure. [00050] The present invention is applicable both to rewinders that use tubular cores (1) to make cylinders (20), and to rewinders that make cylinders of the coreless type, i.e., cylinders without an internal core.
[00051] If the rewinder (RW) is of the type that uses cores (1) for making cylinders, as described above, it will preferably be equipped with: - means adapted for feeding tubular cores (1) along a predetermined additional path (FI) that joins the first path (F2) in a coupling channel (C) in which the cores (1) are associated with said frame (2), said channel (C) terminating in said winding station (W); means (8) for dispensing glue in the cores, adapted to release glue in each core (1) along said additional path (FI). From the description given above, it follows that a method for producing paper material cylinders according to the present invention comprises the following steps: - feed a continuous paper web (2) along a corresponding predetermined web feed path (F2) with a predetermined feed rate; provide a series of discontinuous transverse pre-cut lines to divide the web (2) into sheets of predetermined length to be separated by tearing; - at a winding station (W), wind the weft (2) to make paper cylinders (20); provide means of dimensioning along the aforementioned frame feed path (F2), with a Petition 870220043473, dated 05 / 19 / 2022, pp. 28 / 43 20 / 21 glue application pad (60) capable of applying cyclic contact glue to the weave (2) in close proximity to a pre-cut line thereof, said pad (60) being mounted on a pad support device (6); and the said sizing means are arranged upstream of said winding station (W); and - when the pad (60) is in contact with the weft (2), the pad (60) is moved by the pad support device (6) at a speed lower than the speed at which the weft (2) is fed along the respective feed path (F2), so as to determine a prolonged contact of the pad (60) with the weft (2) while the pad (60) and the weft (2) move.
[00052] Preferably, the speed of the cushion (60) in contact with the weft (2) has a value between 20% and 50% of the speed of the weft (2).
[00053] More preferably, at this stage, the peripheral speed of the cushion (60) has a value between 30% and 40% of the speed of the weft (2) and even more preferably, a value between 30% and 35% of the speed of the weft (2). In addition, preferably, the cushion (60) is mounted on the cushion support (6) by means of an elastic support that deforms elastically so that the cushion (60) moves elastically towards the cushion support device when subjected to pressure and automatically moves in the opposite direction returning to its configuration when unloaded.
[00054] According to an embodiment which provides for the use of tubular cores (1) to make the cylinders (20), a method Petition 870220043473, dated 05 / 19 / 2022, pp. 29 / 43 21 / 21 according to the present invention also includes the following steps: feeding tubular cores (1) along another predetermined path (FI) that joins said feed path (F2) of the web (2) corresponding to a coupling channel (C) in which said cores (1) are associated with said web (2), said channel (C) being disposed upstream of said winding station (W) where in each of said cores (1) a predetermined quantity of said web (2) is wound; by means of additional means of distributing glue (8), distribute glue in each core (1); - arrange said additional glue distribution means along said additional predetermined path, upstream of said coupling channel (C).
[00055] According to the example shown in the drawings, the sizing means intended to apply glue to the web (2) upstream of the winding station (W) are arranged at a given distance from the winding station at a point where the web (2) has not yet reached the winding station, i.e., the first winding roll (R2).
[00056] In practice, however, the details of the implementation may vary in an equivalent manner with respect to the individual elements described and illustrated and their reciprocal arrangement without going beyond the scope of the adopted solution idea and, therefore, remaining within the limits of the protection conferred by this patent in accordance with the following claims.
