Description
1 / 84 METHOD OF OPERATING A DEVICE IN A WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM AND A DEVICE USING THE SAME METHOD TECHNICAL FIELD
[001] This disclosure relates to a method of operation of a device in a wireless communication system and to a device that uses the method. BACKGROUND
[002] As more and more communication devices demand greater communication capacity, there is a need for improvement in mobile broadband communication relative to existing radio access technology. Furthermore, massive machine-to-computation (MTC) communications, which provide various services by connecting many devices and objects, are a key issue to be considered in next-generation communication. Additionally, the design of the communication system considering reliability / latency-sensitive service / UE is being discussed. The introduction of next-generation radio access technology considering enhanced mobile broadband communication (eMBB), massive MTC (mMTC), ultra-reliable low-latency communication (URLLC) is discussed. This new technology may be referred to, in this disclosure, as new radio access technology (new RAT or NR) for convenience.
[003] In NR or post-NR wireless communication systems, full duplex (FD) operation can be performed. When performing FD operation, the device can perform downlink reception and uplink transmission simultaneously in a given time resource. Half duplex (HD) operation differs in that only one of the downlink reception or uplink transmission can be performed in a given time resource. For FD operation, i) some frequency resources in the same time resource can be allocated as downlink sub-bands, while some other frequency resources, as uplink sub-bands (this may be referred to as FD per sub-band or SBFD (subband-wise full duplex)), or ii) Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 7 / 187 2 / 84 frequency resources that can be used for both downlink reception and uplink transmission in the same time resource can be allocated (this may be referred to as spectrum-sharing full duplex or SSFD).
[004] To improve communication reliability and / or increase coverage, certain channels can be transmitted repeatedly. For example, the physical shared uplink channel (PUSCH), an uplink data channel, can be transmitted repeatedly through multiple slots.
[005] However, when transmitting PUSCH, the size of the transport block (TB) transmitted via PUSCH is determined based on the number of physical resource blocks (PRBs) allocated for PUSCH transmission. If the time-domain resources used for repeated PUSCH transmission are mixed with an FD slot operating as FD and a slot that does not operate as FD, such as an HD slot operating as HD, the number of PRBs used for PUSCH transmission in each slot may be different.
[006] Conventional techniques assume that time-domain resources used for repeated PUSCH transmissions include slots of the same type. Therefore, there is a question where the method for determining the TBS for repeated PUSCH transmissions involving different slot types is unclear. Thus, a method is needed to determine the TB size for repeated PUSCH transmissions involving different slot types. DISCLOSURE TECHNICAL PROBLEM
[007] The technical problem to be solved by the present disclosure is to provide a method of operating a device in a wireless communication system and a device that uses the method. TECHNICAL SOLUTION Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 8 / 187 3 / 84
[008] A method of operation of a device in a wireless communication system and a device using the method are provided. According to the method, a user equipment (UE) determines a transport block (TB) size and transmits the TB with that size through a shared physical uplink channel (PUSCH) in each of a plurality of slots. Here, the plurality of slots includes a full-duplex (FD) slot capable of simultaneously performing an uplink operation and a downlink operation using different frequency bands within a slot, and a half-duplex (HD) slot capable of performing an uplink operation or a downlink operation within a slot, and the size is determined based on a value obtained by applying a scaling factor to a 'total number of resource elements allocated for PUSCH (Nre)' determined based on a physical resource block (PRB) transmitted in the HD slot.
[009] In another aspect, a UE, a device and a computer-readable means to perform the above method are provided.
[010] In another aspect, a method of operation of a base station and a base station that uses the method are provided. According to the base station's method of operation, the base station transmits scheduling information to schedule / program the uplink transmission to a user equipment (UE) and receives a transport block (TB) with a specific transport block size (TBS) from the UE via a shared physical uplink channel (PUSCH) in each of a plurality of slots based on the scheduling information.Slot plurality includes a full duplex (FD) slot capable of simultaneously performing an uplink and a downlink operation using different frequency bands within a slot, and a half duplex (HD) slot capable of performing either an uplink or a downlink operation within a slot, and the TBS is determined based on a value obtained by applying a scaling factor to a 'total number of resource elements allocated for PUSCH (Nre)' determined based on one. Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 9 / 187 4 / 84 physical resource block (PRB) transmitted in HD slot. ADVANTAGEOUS EFFECTS
[011] According to the method of the present disclosure, when a repeated PUSCH transmission is performed on different types of time-domain slots, for example, slots in which FD slots and HD slots are mixed, the TBS can be determined reflecting the frequency domain resources actually used in each slot, thus reducing the probability of errors occurring.
[012] Furthermore, it is possible to avoid ambiguity in the determination of the TBS when a repeated PUSCH transmission is performed in different types of slots in the time domain. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

[045] The technical features described individually in a figure in this document can be implemented individually, or they can be implemented simultaneously.
[046] FIG. 1 illustrates a wireless communication system to which the present disclosure may be applied. This may also be called E-UTRAN (Evolved UMTS Terrestrial Radio Access Network), or LTE (Long Term Evolution) / LTE-A system.
[047] E-UTRAN includes a base station (BS) 20 that provides a control plane and a user plane to a user equipment (UE) 10. The UE 10 may be fixed or mobile and may be referred to by other terminology, such as a mobile station (MS), a user terminal (UT), a subscriber station (SS), a mobile terminal (MT), a wireless device, terminal, etc. The BS 20 is generally a fixed station that communicates with the UE 10 and may be referred to by other terminology, such as an evolved-B node (eNB), a base transceiver station (BTS), an access point, etc.
[048] The BSs are interconnected via an X2 interface. The BSs are also connected via an S1 interface to an evolved packet core (EPC) 30, more specifically, to a mobility management entity (MME) via S1-MME and to a service gateway (S-GW) via S1-U.
[049] EPC 30 includes an MME, an S-GW, and a packet data network gateway (P-GW). The MME has UE access information or UE capacity information, and such information is generally used for UE mobility management. The S-GW is a gateway that has an E-UTRAN as its endpoint. The P-GW is a gateway that has a PDN as its endpoint.
[050] The layers of a radio interface protocol between the UE and the network Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 13 / 187 8 / 84 can be classified into a first layer (L1), a second layer (L2), and a third layer (L3) based on the three lower layers of the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model, which is widely known in communication systems. Among them, a physical layer (PHY) belonging to the first layer provides an information transfer service using a physical channel, and a radio resource control (RRC) layer belonging to the third layer serves to control a radio resource between the UE and the network. For this, the RRC layer exchanges an RRC message between the UE and the BS.
[051] FIG. 2 is a block diagram showing the radio protocol architecture for the user plane. FIG. 3 is a block diagram showing the radio protocol structure for the control plane. The user plane is a protocol stack for transmitting user data. The control plane is a protocol stack for transmitting control signals.
[052] Referring to FIG. 2 and FIG. 3, the PHY layer provides a higher layer (=higher layer) with a service for transferring information through a physical channel. The PHY layer is connected to a medium access control (MAC) layer, which is a higher layer than the PHY layer, through a transport channel. Data is transferred between the MAC layer and the PHY layer through the transport channel. The transport channel is classified according to the form and characteristics with which the data is transferred through a radio interface.
[053] Data is moved between different PHY layers, that is, the PHY layers of a transmitter and a receiver, through a physical channel. The physical channel can be modulated according to an Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing (OFDM) scheme and use time and frequency as radio resources.
[054] The functions of the MAC layer include mapping between a logical channel Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 14 / 187 9 / 84 and a transport and multiplexing / demultiplexing channel for a transport block that is provided through a physical channel in the transport channel of a Service Data Unit (SDU) of MAC that belongs to a logical channel. The MAC layer provides service to a Radio Link Control (RLC) layer through the logical channel.
[055] The functions of the RLC layer include the concatenation, segmentation, and reassembly of an RLC SDU. In order to guarantee various types of Quality of Service (QoS) required by a Radio Carrier (RB), the RLC layer provides three types of operating modes: Transparent Mode (TM), Unconfirmed Mode (UM), and Confirmed Mode (AM). AM RLC provides error correction through an Automatic Repeat Request (ARQ).
[056] The RRC layer is defined only in the control plane. The RRC layer is related to the configuration, reconfiguration, and release of radio carriers, and is responsible for the control of logical channels, transport channels, and PHY channels. An RB stands for a logical route that is provided by the first layer (PHY layer) and the second layers (MAC layer, RLC layer, and PDCP layer) to transfer data between UE and a network.
[057] The function of a Packet Data Convergence Protocol (PDCP) layer in the user plane includes user data transfer and header compression and encryption. The function of the PDCP layer in the user plane also includes the transfer and encryption / integrity protection of control plane data.
[058] The configuration of a RB consists of the process of defining the characteristics of a wireless protocol layer and channels in order to provide a specific service and configuring each detailed parameter and operational method. An RB can be divided into two types: a Signaling RB (SRB) and a Data RB (DRB). The SRB is used as a channel through which an RRC message is transmitted. Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 15 / 187 10 / 84 is transmitted in the control plane, and the DRB is used as a channel through which user data is transmitted in the user plane.
[059] If an RRC connection is established between the UE's RRC layer and the RRC layer of an E-UTRAN, the UE is in the RRC connected state. Otherwise, the UE is in the RRC idle / inactive state.
[060] A downlink transport channel, through which data is transmitted from a network to the UE, includes a broadcast channel (BCH), through which system information is transmitted, and a shared downlink channel (SCH), through which user traffic or control messages are transmitted. Traffic or a control message for the downlink broadcast and multicast service may be transmitted via the downlink SCH, or it may be transmitted via an additional downlink multicast channel (MCH). Meanwhile, an uplink transport channel, through which data is transmitted from the UE to a network, includes a random access channel (RACH), through which an initial control message is transmitted, and a shared uplink channel (SCH), through which user traffic or control messages are transmitted.
[061] The logical channels that are placed over the transport channel and that are mapped to the transport channel include a broadcast control channel (BCCH), a paging control channel (PCCH), a common control channel (CCCH), a multicast control channel (MCCH), and a multicast traffic channel (MTCH).
[062] The physical channel includes several OFDM symbols in the time domain and several subcarriers in the frequency domain. A subframe includes a plurality of OFDM symbols in the time domain. An RB is a resource allocation unit and includes a plurality of OFDM symbols and a plurality of subcarriers. In addition, each subframe can use specific subcarriers of specific OFDM symbols (e.g., the first OFDM symbol) from the corresponding subframe. Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 16 / 187 11 / 84 for a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH), that is, an L1 / L2 control channel. A Transmission Time Interval (TTI) is a unit of time for subframe transmission.
[063] Next, a new radio access technology (new RAT, NR) will be described.
[064] As more and more communication devices require greater communication capacity, there is a need for improvement in mobile broadband communication relative to existing radio access technology. This new technology may be referred to, in this disclosure, as new RAT or NR for convenience.
[065] FIG. 4 illustrates a system structure of a next-generation radio access network (NG-RAN) to which NR is applied.
[066] Referring to FIG. 4, the NG-RAN may include a gNB and / or an eNB that provides user plane and control plane protocol termination for a UE. FIG. 4 illustrates the case of including only gNBs. The gNBs (eNBs) are connected via an Xn interface. The gNB and eNB are connected to a 5G core network (5GC) via an NG interface. More specifically, the gNB and eNB are connected to a mobility and access management function (AMF) via an NG-C interface and connected to a user plane function (UPF) via an NG-U interface. Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 17 / 187 12 / 84
[067] FIG. 5 illustrates a functional division between an NG-RAN and a 5GC.
[068] Referring to FIG. 5, gNB can provide functions such as inter-cell radio resource management (Inter-Cell RRM), radio carrier management (RB control), connection mobility control, radio admission control, metering configuration and provisioning, dynamic resource allocation, and the like. AMF can provide functions such as NAS security, idle-state mobility handling, and so on. UPF can provide functions such as mobility docking, PDU processing, and the like. SMF can provide functions such as UE IP address assignment, PDU session control, and so on.
[069] FIG. 6 illustrates an example of a frame structure that can be applied in NR.
[070] Referring to FIG. 6, in NR, a radio frame (hereinafter also referred to as a frame) can be used in uplink and downlink transmissions. The frame has a length of 10 ms and can be defined as two half-frames (HFs) of 5 ms. The HF can be defined as five subframes (SFs) of 1 ms. The SF can be divided into one or more slots, and the number of slots within the SF depends on a subcarrier spacing (SCS). Each slot includes 12 or 14 OFDM(A) symbols according to a cyclic prefix (CP). In the case of using a normal CP, each slot includes 14 symbols. In the case of using an extended CP, each slot includes 12 symbols. Here, a symbol can include an OFDM symbol (or CP-OFDM symbol) and a single-carrier FDMA symbol (SC-FDMA) (or discrete Fourier transform scattering OFDM symbol (DFT-s-OFDM)).
[071] Table 1 below illustrates a μ subcarrier spacing configuration. TABLE μ Af = 2M5[kHz] Cyclic Prefix (CP) 0 15 Normal 1 30 Normal Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 18 / 187 13 / 84 2 60 Normal Extended 3 120 Normal 4 240 Normal
[072] Table 2 below illustrates the number of slots in a frame (Nframe^slot), the number of slots in a subframe (Nsubframe^slot), the number of symbols in a slot (Nslotsymb), and so on, according to the subcarrier spacing settings μ. [073] FIG. 6 illustrates a case of μ=0, 1, 2, 3.
[074] Table 2-1 below illustrates that the number of symbols per slot, the number of slots per frame, and the number of slots per subframe vary depending on the SCS, in the case of using an extended CP. TABLE 2-1 SCS(15*2μ) Nsymbol slot Nframe, μslot Nsubframe, μ^ 60KHz (μ=2) 12 40 4
[075] In an NR system, OFDM(A) numerologies (e.g., SCS, CP length, and so on) can be configured differently among a plurality of cells integrated into a UE. Consequently, a duration (of absolute time) of a time resource (e.g., SF, slot, or TTI) (collectively referred to as a time unit (TU) for convenience) configured with the same number of symbols can be configured differently among the integrated cells.
[076] FIG. 7 illustrates a slot structure.
[077] A slot can include a plurality of symbols in a domain. Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 19 / 187 14 / 84 temporal. For example, in the case of a normal CP, a slot may include 14 symbols (or 7 symbols). However, in the case of an extended CP, a slot may include 12 symbols (or 6 symbols). A carrier may include a plurality of subcarriers in a frequency domain. A feature block (BR) may be defined as a plurality of consecutive subcarriers (e.g., 12 subcarriers) in the frequency domain. A bandwidth portion (BWP) may be defined as a plurality of consecutive feature blocks ((P)RBs) in the frequency domain, and the BWP may correspond to a numerology (e.g., SCS, CP length, and so on). The carrier may include up to N (e.g., 5) BWPs. Data communication may be carried out via an active BWP, and only one BWP may be active for a UE. In a feature grid, each element can be referred to as a feature element (RE), and a complex symbol can be mapped to it.
[078] A physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) may include one or more control channel elements (CCEs), as illustrated in Table 3 below. TABLE 3 Aggregation Level Number of CCEs 1 1 2 2 4 4 8 8 16 16
[079] In this sense, PDCCH can be transmitted via a feature including 1, 2, 4, 8, or 16 CCEs. Here, the CCE includes six groups of feature elements (REGs), and a REG includes a feature block in a frequency domain and an orthogonal frequency division multiplexing (OFDM) symbol in a time domain.
[080] Monitoring involves decoding each PDCCH candidate according to a downlink control information (DCI) format. The UE Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 20 / 187 15 / 84 monitors a set of candidate PDCCHs in one or more CORESETs (to be described below) in an active BWP DL of each activated server cell in which PDCCH monitoring is configured, according to a corresponding search space set.
[081] A new set of control resources (CORESET) can be introduced in the NR. The UE can receive a PDCCH in CORESET.
[082] FIG. 8 illustrates CORESET.
[083] Referring to FIG. 8, the CORESET includes a number of Ncoresetrb resource blocks in the frequency domain, and a number of NCORESETsymb and {1, 2, 3} symbols in the time domain. The Ncoresetrb and NCORESETsymb can be provided by a base station via upper-layer signaling. As illustrated in FIG. 8, a plurality of CCEs (or REGs) can be included in the CORESET.
[084] The UE may attempt to detect a PDCCH in units of 1, 2, 4, 8 or 16 CCEs in CORESET. One or a plurality of CCEs, in which PDCCH detection may be attempted, may be referred to as PDCCH candidates.
[085] A plurality of CORESETs can be configured for the UE.
[086] A control region in the wireless communication system of the related technique (e.g., LTE / LTE-A) is configured across the entire system bandwidth used by a base station (BS). All UEs, excluding some (e.g., eMTC / NB-IoT UEs) that only support a narrowband, must be able to receive wireless signals from the entire system bandwidth of the BS to correctly receive / decode the control information transmitted by the BS.
[087] On the other hand, in NR, the CORESET described above was introduced. The CORESET consists of radio resources for control information to be received by the UE and can use only a portion, rather than the entire bandwidth of the system. The BS can allocate the CORESET to each UE and transmit control information through the allocated CORESET. In NR, the UE can receive information from Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 21 / 187 16 / 84 BS control, without necessarily receiving all the system's bandwidth.
[088] The CORESET may include a specific EU CORESET for transmitting EU-specific control information and a common CORESET for transmitting control information common to all EUs.
[089] On the other hand, NR may require high reliability depending on the field of application. In this situation, the target block error rate (BLER) for downlink control information (DCI) transmitted through a downlink control channel (e.g., physical downlink control channel: PDCCH) may be significantly lower than that of the state of the art. As an example of a method to meet the high reliability requirement, the amount of content included in the DCI may be reduced and / or the amount of resources used in the transmission of the DCI may be increased. At this point, the resources may include at least one of the resources in the time domain, resources in the frequency domain, resources in the code domain, and resources in the spatial domain.
[090] In NR, the following technologies / resources can be applied. Autonomous Sub-Framework Structure
[091] FIG. 9 shows an example of a frame structure for a new wireless access technology.
[092] In NR, as shown in FIG. 9, a structure in which a control channel and a data channel are time-division multiplexed within a TTI can be considered as a frame structure to minimize latency.
[093] In FIG. 9, the hatched area represents the downlink control area and the black area represents the uplink control area. An unidentified area can be used to transmit downlink data (DL data) or it can be used to transmit uplink data (UL data). The characteristic of this structure is that downlink (DL) and uplink (UL) transmission occur sequentially within a subframe. DL data can be transmitted within Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 22 / 187 17 / 84 a subframe and the UL ACK / NACK (Acknowledgment / Non-Acknowledgment) can also be received. As a result, the time required to retransmit data when a data transmission error occurs is reduced, thus minimizing the latency of the final data transmission.
[094] In this TDMed data and control subframe structure, a time interval may be required for a base station and a UE to switch from transmit mode to receive mode or from receive mode to transmit mode. To this end, some OFDM symbols, at the moment when the DL switches to UL, can be set to a guard period (GP) in the standalone subframe structure.
[095] FIG. 10 illustrates a structure of a self-contained slot.
[096] In an NR system, a DL control channel, DL or UL data, a UL control channel, and the like may be contained in a slot. For example, the first N symbols (hereinafter, DL control region) in the slot may be used to transmit a DL control channel, and the last M symbols (hereinafter, UL control region) in the slot may be used to transmit a UL control channel. N and M are integers greater than or equal to 0. A resource region (hereinafter, a data region) that exists between the DL control region and the UL control region may be used for DL data transmission or UL data transmission. For example, the following configuration may be considered. The respective durations are listed in chronological order.
[097] 1. DL configuration only,
[098] 2. UL configuration only,
[099] 3. Mixed UL-DL configuration:
[0100] DL region + Guard period (GP) + UL control region,
[0101] DL control region + GP + UL region.
[0102] DL Region: (i) DL data region, (ii) DL control region Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 23 / 187 18 / 84 + DL data region.
[0103] UL Region: (i) UL data region, (ii) UL data region + UL control region.
[0104] A PDCCH can be transmitted in the DL control region, and a downlink shared physical channel (PDSCH) can be transmitted in the DL data region. An uplink shared physical channel (PUCCH) can be transmitted in the uplink control region, and an uplink shared physical channel (PUSCH) can be transmitted in the UL data region. Downlink control information (DCI), for example, DL data scheduling information, UL data scheduling information, and the like, can be transmitted on the PDCCH. Uplink control information (UCI), for example, ACK / NACK information on DL data, channel status information (CSI), and a scheduling request (SR), can be transmitted on the PUCCH. A GP provides a time interval in a process in which a BS and an UE switch from TX mode to RX mode, or a process in which the BS and UE switch from RX mode to TX mode. Some symbols used when switching from DL to UL within a subframe can be configured as GP. Analog beamforming #1
[0105] Wavelengths are shortened in millimeter waves (mmW), and therefore a large number of antenna elements can be installed in the same area. That is, the wavelength is 1 cm at 30 GHz, and therefore a total of 100 antenna elements can be installed in the form of a two-dimensional array with a 0.5 lambda (wavelength) interval on a 5x5 cm panel. Consequently, it is possible to increase beamforming (BF) gain by using a large number of antenna elements to increase coverage or improve the throughput in mmW.
[0106] In this case, if a transceiver unit (TXRU) is provided for Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 24 / 187 19 / 84 By adjusting the transmission power and phase per antenna element, it is possible to achieve frequency-independent beamforming. However, installing TXRUs for all approximately 100 antenna elements decreases cost-effectiveness. Consequently, a method of mapping a large number of antenna elements to one TXRU and controlling the beam direction using an analog phase shifter is considered. Such analog beamforming can only form one beam direction across all bands and therefore cannot provide frequency-selective beamforming.
[0107] Hybrid beamforming (BF), with a number B of TXRUs, which is less than Q antenna elements, can be considered as an intermediate form of digital BF and analog BF. In this case, the number of beam directions that can be transmitted simultaneously is limited to B, although this depends on a method of connecting the B TXRUs and the Q antenna elements. Analog beamforming #2
[0108] When a plurality of antennas is used in NR, hybrid beamforming arises, which is a combination of digital and analog beamforming. Here, in analog beamforming (or RF beamforming), an RF terminal performs pre-coding (or combination), and thus it is possible to achieve performance similar to that of digital beamforming, reducing the number of RF chains and the number of D / A (or A / D) converters. For convenience, the hybrid beamforming structure can be represented by N TXRUs and M physical antennas. Then, the digital beamforming for the L data layers to be transmitted at the transmitting end can be represented by an N by L matrix, and the N converted digital signals are transformed into analog signals via TXRUs, and the analog beamforming represented by an M by N matrix is applied.
[0109] The information from the NR system can be transmitted via broadcast. In this case, in a symbol, analog beams belonging to Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, p. 25 / 187 20 / 84 different antenna panels can be transmitted simultaneously. A scheme for introducing a beam reference signal (BRS), which is a reference signal (RS) transmitted by applying a single analog beam (corresponding to a specific antenna panel), is under discussion for measuring a channel per analog beam. The BRS can be defined for a plurality of antenna ports, and each antenna port of the BRS can correspond to a single analog beam. In this case, unlike the BRS, a synchronization signal or an xPBCH can be transmitted by applying all analog beams within a group of analog beams, so as to be correctly received by any UE.
[0110] In NR, in a time domain, a synchronization signal block (SSB, also referred to as synchronization signal and physical broadcast channel (SS / PBCH)) can consist of 4 OFDM symbols indexed from 0 to 3 in ascending order within a synchronization signal block, and a PBCH related to a primary synchronization signal (PSS), a secondary synchronization signal (SSS), and a demodulation reference signal (DMRS) can be mapped to the symbols. As described above, the synchronization signal block can also be represented by an SS / PBCH block.
[0111] In NR, a plurality of synchronization signal blocks (SSBs) can be transmitted at different times, respectively, and the SSB can be used to perform initial access (IA), meet cell metering and the like, it being preferable to transmit the SSB first when the transmission time and resources of the SSB overlap with those of other signals. For this purpose, the network can transmit the transmission time and resource information of the SSB or indicate them through UE-specific RRC signaling.
[0112] In NR, beams can be used for transmission and reception. If the reception performance of a current service beam is impaired, a search process for a new beam can be performed through what is called Recovery. Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 26 / 187 21 / 84 Beam Failure (BFR).
[0113] Since the BFR process is not intended to declare an error or failure of a link between the network and a UE, it can be assumed that a connection to the current server cell is maintained even if the BFR process is performed. Throughout the BFR process, the measurement of different beams (which can be expressed in terms of CSI-RS port or Synchronization Signal Block (SSB) index) configured by the network can be performed, and the best beam for the corresponding UE can be selected. The UE can perform the BFR process in such a way that it executes a RACH process related to a beam that produces a good measurement result.
[0114] The state of a transmission configuration indicator (hereinafter, TCI) is described herein. The TCI state can be configured for each CORESET of a control channel and can determine a parameter for determining an RX beam of the UE, based on the TCI state.
[0115] For each DL BWP of a server cell, a UE can be configured for three or fewer CORESETs. Furthermore, a UE can receive the following information for each CORESET.
[0116] 1) CORESET p index (one from 0 to 11, where the index of each CORESET can be uniquely determined among the BWPs of a server cell),
[0117] 2) Initialization value of the PDCCH DM-RS scrambling sequence,
[0118] 3) Duration of a CORESET in the time domain (which can be given in symbol units),
[0119] 4) Set of resource blocks,
[0120] 5) CCE-to-REG mapping parameter,
[0121] 6) Antenna port quasi-colocation, indicating quasi-colocation (QCL) information of a DM-RS antenna port to receive a PDCCH in each CORESET (of a set of antenna port quasi-colocations). Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 27 / 187 22 / 84 provided by a higher-layer parameter called TCI-State'),
[0122] 7) Indication of the presence of the Transmission Configuration Indication (TCI) field for a specific DCI format transmitted by the PDCCH in the CORESET, and so on.
[0123] QCL will be described. If a characteristic of a channel through which a symbol on one antenna port is transmitted can be inferred from a characteristic of a channel through which a symbol on the other antenna port is transmitted, the two antenna ports are considered to be quasi-colocalized (QCLed). For example, when two signals A and B are transmitted from the same set of transmitting antennas to which the equal / similar spatial filter is applied, the two signals can pass through the equal / similar channel state. From the perspective of a receiver, upon receiving one of the two signals, another signal can be detected using a channel characteristic of the received signal.
[0124] In this sense, when it is said that signals A and B are nearly colocalized (QCLed), this may mean that signals A and B have passed through a similar channel condition, and therefore the channel information estimated to detect signal A is also useful for detecting signal B. Here, the channel condition can be defined according to, for example, a Doppler shift, a Doppler spread, an average delay, a delay spread, a spatial reception parameter, or similar.
[0125] A 'TCI-State' parameter associates one or two downlink reference signals with the corresponding QCL types (QCL types A, B, C and D, see Table 4). TABLE 4 QCL Type Description QCL-Type A Doppler Displacement, Doppler Scatter, Mean Delay, Delay Scatter QCL-Type B Doppler Displacement, Doppler Scatter QCL-Type C Doppler Displacement, Mean Delay Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 28 / 187 23 / 84 QCL-TypeD Spatial Rx Parameter
[0126] Each TCI-State can include a parameter to configure a QCL relationship between one or two downlink reference signals and a DM-RS port of a PDSCH (or PDCCH) or a CSI-RS port of a CSI-RS resource.
[0127] Meanwhile, for each DL BWP configured for a UE in a server cell, the UE can receive 10 (or fewer) sets of search spaces. For each set of search spaces, the UE can receive at least one of the following pieces of information.
[0129] In NR, a CORESET#0 can be configured by a PBCH (or a dedicated UE signaling for handover or a PSCell configuration or a BWP configuration). A search space (SS) set #0 by the PBCH can have different monitoring offsets (e.g., a slot offset, a symbol offset) for each associated SSB. This may be necessary to minimize a need for monitoring of the search space by the UE. Alternatively, this may be necessary to provide a beam scan data / control region capable of performing data / control transmission based on each beam, so that communication with the UE is persistently performed in a situation where a better UE beam dynamically changes.
[0130] FIG. 11 illustrates physical channels and typical signal transmission.
[0131] Referring to FIG. 11, in a wireless communication system, a Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 29 / 187 24 / 84 The UE receives information from a BS via a downlink (DL), and the UE transmits information to the BS via an uplink (UL). The information transmitted / received by the BS and the UE includes data and a variety of control information, and there are several physical channels according to the type / purpose of the information transmitted / received by the BS and the UE.
[0132] The UE that is switched back on from an off state or that re-enters a cell performs an initial cell search operation, such as synchronization adjustment with the BS or similar (S11). For this purpose, the UE receives a primary synchronization channel (PSCH) and a secondary synchronization channel (SSCH) from the BS to adjust synchronization with the BS and acquire information such as the cell identifier (ID) or similar. In addition, the UE may receive a physical broadcast channel (PBCH) from the BS to acquire broadcast information in the cell. Furthermore, the UE may receive a downlink reference signal (DL RS) in an initial cell search step to identify a downlink channel state.
[0133] Cell search (initial) can be considered a procedure in which the UE obtains time and frequency synchronization with a cell and detects the cell ID. Cell search can be based on the primary synchronization signal and the secondary synchronization signal of the cell, and on the PBCH DMRS.
[0134] Upon completion of the initial cell search, the UE may receive a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) and a corresponding physical downlink control channel (PDSCH) to acquire more specific system information (S12).
[0135] Subsequently, the UE can perform a random access procedure to complete an access to the BS (S13 ~ S16). Specifically, the UE can transmit a preamble through a physical random access channel (PRACH) (S13) and can receive a random access response (RAR) for the preamble through a PDCCH and a PDSCH corresponding to it (S14). Subsequently, the UE can Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 30 / 187 25 / 84 transmit a shared physical uplink channel (PUSCH) using scheduling information in the RAR (S15) and can perform a contention resolution procedure similar to the PDCCH and the corresponding PDSCH (this can be considered the process of receiving a contention resolution message) (S16).
[0136] After performing the above-mentioned procedure, the UE can perform PDCCH / PDSCH reception (S17) and PUSCH / uplink control physical channel (PUCCH) transmission (S18) as a typical uplink / downlink signal transmission procedure. The control information transmitted by the UE to the BS is called uplink control information (UCI). The UCI includes the acknowledgment (ACK) / negative ACK (NACK) of the hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ), scheduling request (SR), channel status information (CSI), or similar. CSI includes a channel quality indicator (CQI), a pre-coding matrix indicator (PMI), a classification indication (RI), or similar. Generally, the UCI is transmitted via the PUCCH. However, when control information and data must be transmitted simultaneously, the UCI can be transmitted via the PUSCH.Furthermore, the UE can transmit UCI aperiodically via PUSCH in accordance with a request / indication from a network.
[0137] To ensure reasonable battery consumption when bandwidth adaptation (BA) is configured, only one uplink BWP and one downlink BWP, or only one downlink / uplink BWP pair for each uplink carrier, can be activated at a time in an active server cell, and all other BWPs configured in the UE are deactivated. In deactivated BWPs, the UE does not monitor PDCCH and does not perform transmission on PUCCH, PRACH, and UL-SCH.
[0138] As for the UE's BA, RX, and TX bandwidths, they are not necessarily as wide as the bandwidth of a cell, and can be adjusted. In this way, they can be commanded so that a width is changed. Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 31 / 187 26 / 84 (e.g., reduced for a period of low activity to save energy), a position in a frequency domain is moved (e.g., to increase scaling flexibility), and a subcarrier spacing is changed (e.g., to allow different services). A subset of a cell's total bandwidth is referred to as a bandwidth portion (BWP), and the BA is acquired by configuring BWP(s) for the UE and notifying the UE of a currently active BWP among the configured BWPs. When the BA is configured, the UE only needs to monitor the PDCCH on an active BWP. That is, there is no need to monitor the PDCCH across the entire downlink frequency of the cell. A BWP idle timer (independent of the previously mentioned BWP idle timer) is used to switch an active BWP to a default BWP.This means that the timer is reset when PDCCH decoding is successful, and the switch to the default BWP occurs when the timer expires.
[0139] An integrated access and backhaul (IAB) link is described herein. To facilitate the description, a proposed method based on a novel RAT (NR) system will be described below. However, the scope of the system to which the proposed method applies can be expanded to other systems, such as 3GPP LTE / LTE-A systems, in addition to the NR system.
[0140] One of the potential technologies aimed at enabling future scenarios and applications for cellular network deployment is support for wireless relay and backhaul links, which allows for flexible and highly dense deployment of NR cells without the need to proportionally densify the transport network.
[0141] It is expected that greater bandwidth in NR compared to LTE will be available (e.g., millimeter wave spectrum) with the native deployment of massive or multibeam MIMO systems, thus creating opportunities for the development and deployment of integrated access and backhaul links. Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 32 / 187 27 / 84 This facilitates the use of a dense network of NR cells with auto-backhaul in a more integrated way, establishing multiple control channels / procedures and defined data to provide access or access to the UEs. These systems are referred to as integrated access and backhaul (IAB) links.
[0142] This disclosure defines the following.
[0143] - AC (x): an access link between node (x) and the UE(s).
[0144] - BH (xy): a backhaul link between node (x) and node (y).
[0145] In this case, the node can mean a donor gNB (DgNB) or a relay node (RN). Here, the DgNB or donor node can be a gNB that provides a function to support backhaul to IAB nodes.
[0146] When relay node 1 and relay node 2 exist, relay node 1, which is connected to relay node 2 via a backhaul link and relays transmitted and received data to relay node 2, is called the parent node of relay node 2, and relay node 2 is called the child node of relay node 1.
[0147] The technical characteristics described individually in a drawing in this document can be implemented individually or simultaneously.
[0148] The following drawings have been prepared to explain a specific example of this document. Since the names of specific devices or specific signals / messages / fields described in the drawings are given as examples, the technical characteristics of this document are not limited to the specific names used in the drawings below. Push repetitions
[0149] PUSCH A and B repeater types have been introduced into the standard specifications (e.g., NR Rel-15 / 16). Transmission is performed as follows, depending on the PUSCH repeater type.
[0150] 1) Push-type A repetition Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 33 / 187 28 / 84
[0151] FIG. 12 is an example of a type A PUSCH repeat.
[0152] Referring to FIG. 12, type A PUSCH repeat is a slot-based PUSCH repeat transmission, and the repeat is performed with the same initial PUSCH transmission symbol position and PUSCH transmission symbol length for each slot, as illustrated in FIG. 12. At this point, if there is an invalid symbol that cannot be used for PUSCH transmission among the symbol resources that constitute a specific PUSCH repeat, the corresponding PUSCH repeat transmission will be discarded and not performed. For example, when a total of four PUSCH repeat transmissions of Rep0, Rep1, Rep2, and Rep3 are performed in slots N, N+1, N+2, and N+3 (one PUSCH repeat is transmitted in each slot), if the symbol resources that constitute Rep1 include an invalid symbol, the transmission of Rep1 will be discarded and only the transmissions of Rep0, Rep2, and Rep3 will be performed. Therefore, the actual number of repetitions performed may be less than the number of repetitions configured.
[0153] For type A PUSCH repeaters, frequency hopping can be configured for UE via top-layer parameters. One of two frequency hopping modes can be configured. i) Frequency hopping within a slot (intra-slot frequency hopping) is applicable to both single-slot and multi-slot push transmissions. ii) Frequency hopping between slots is applicable to multi-slot PUSCH transmission.
[0154] 2) Push-type B repetition
[0155] FIG. 13 is an example of a type B PUSCH repeat.
[0156] Referring to FIG. 13, the type B PUSCH repetition is repeated in units of the symbol length in which the actual PUSCH is transmitted. For example, as in (a) of FIG. 13, when the PUSCH is transmitted by means of 10 symbols, the PUSCH repetition is performed in units of 10 consecutive symbols. In this Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 34 / 187 29 / 84 moment, the repetition that determines the PUSCH repeat transmission time resources without considering slot limits, invalid symbols, etc., is called a nominal repetition. (a) of FIG. 13 shows an example where three nominal repetitions (denoted as N0, N1 and N2) are configured.
[0157] However, in the case of actual PUSCH repetition, a single PUSCH cannot be transmitted while including a slot limit. That is, if a nominal PUSCH transmission includes a slot limit (e.g., N0, N2 in (a) of FIG. 13), two actual repetitions are performed with the slot limit as the limit, as in (b) of FIG. 13. For example, a nominal repetition N0 is performed with two actual repetitions, as A0, A1, with the slot limit as the limit.
[0158] Furthermore, a single PUSCH transmission can only be performed using consecutive symbols. If there is an invalid symbol in the time resource where a PUSCH repeat is to be transmitted, the actual repeat will be formed using consecutive symbols with the invalid symbol as the boundary. For example, if symbols #0 to #9 constitute a nominal repeat and symbols #3 to #5 are invalid symbols, symbols #0 to #2 and symbols #6 to #9, excluding the invalid symbol, each constitute an actual repeat.
[0159] Invalid symbols may include the following: i) Downlink symbol configured by the semi-static UL-DL TDD configuration, ii) an invalid symbol pattern configured by the RRC (which can be configured by the invalid symbol pattern indicator), ii i) SSB symbol configured by SIB1, SSB symbol configured by 'ServngCellConfig Common', iv) Symbol for PDCCH for SIB1, (v) Invalid symbol for DL-UL switching configured by RRC.
[0160] If a symbol that cannot be used for PUSCH transmission Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 35 / 187 If a 30 / 84 symbol (for example, a DL symbol indicated by the DCI 2_0 format) is included in an actual repeat resource, the corresponding actual repeat transmission will be discarded and not performed.
[0161] Now, the full duplex operation will be described.
[0162] In 5G, new types of services such as extended reality (XR), artificial intelligence-based services, and autonomous cars are emerging. These services have characteristics that dynamically alter traffic in both downlink (DL) and uplink (UL) directions, and require low latency for traffic transmission (e.g., packets). In 5G services, traffic will increase exponentially to support these new use cases.
[0163] Existing semi-static or dynamic TDD UL / DL configurations have limitations, such as transmission time delay and carrier interference. The existing FDD method has limitations in terms of efficient use of frequency resources in the DL / UL direction. Therefore, for low latency and efficient use of resources in NR, the introduction of full duplex operation within a single carrier is being discussed.
[0164] FIG. 14 shows examples of how to apply full duplex within an intracarrier.
[0165] Referring to FIG. 14, the full duplex method includes sub-band full duplex (Sub-band-wise Full Duplex - hereinafter referred to as sub-band full duplex or SBFD) as shown in (a) of FIG. 14 and spectrum-sharing full duplex (hereinafter referred to as SSFD) as shown in (b) of FIG. 14 may be considered.
[0166] In the case of SBFD, DL and UL are transmitted and received through different frequency resources within the same carrier (e.g., carrier #0). That is, different frequency resources are used in DL and UL for the same time resource. Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 36 / 187 31 / 84
[0167] In SSFD cases, DL and UL are transmitted and received using the same frequency resources or overlapping frequency resources within the same carrier (e.g., carrier #0). That is, the same frequency resources or overlapping frequency resources can be used in DL and UL for the same time resource.
[0168] This full-duplex (FD) operation can also be used in combination with the existing half-duplex (HD) operation. For example, among the time resources used for the existing half-duplex-based TDD operation, some time resources can be used for the full-duplex operation. SBFD or SSFD operations can be performed on time resources that perform full-duplex operations.
[0169] FIG. 15 shows an example in which a time resource that operates in half duplex (HD) and a time resource that operates in full duplex (FD), such as SBFD or SSFD, exist together.
[0170] In (a) of FIG. 15, some time resources that operate as SBFD are indicated as SBFD, and time resources that operate as HD are indicated as HD. In (b) of FIG. 15, some time resources that operate as SSFD are indicated as SSFD, and time resources that operate as HD are indicated as HD. The time resource unit can be, for example, a slot or symbol.
[0171] In time resources that operate as SBFDs, some frequency resources are used as DL resources, and other frequency resources are used as UL resources. Between the DL frequency resource and the UL frequency resource, there may be an unused and empty guard sub-band for both DL and UL. Guard sub-bands may also be referred to by other terms, such as guard frequency resources or guard subcarrier(s).
[0172] In time resources that operate with SSFD, every resource of Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 37 / 187 The 32 / 84 frequency can be used for both DL and UL. Or, to reduce the impact of interference from other adjacent carriers (this may be referred to as ACI (adjacent carrier interference)), some frequency resources at one or both ends of the carrier may not be used for DL and / or UL. That is, one or both ends of the carrier may be used as an unused guard band (sub-guard band) for both DL and UL. Alternatively, to reduce ACI on UL reception, one or both ends of the carrier may be used only for DL transmission.
[0173] In this disclosure, a slot resource that operates as HD is referred to as an HD slot, and a slot resource that operates as SBFD and a slot resource that operates as SSFD are referred to as an SBFD slot and an SSFD slot, respectively. The SBFD slot and the SSFD slot are also collectively known as FD slots.
[0174] In this disclosure, for convenience, in time resources operating as FD, among all frequency resources, frequency resources operating as DL may be referred to as a DL sub-band, and frequency resources operating as UL may be referred to as a UL sub-band.
[0175] In the case of full duplex operation, both the base station and the UE can perform full duplex operation. That is, both the base station and the UE can simultaneously perform DL and UL transmission and reception using the same or different frequency resources in the same time resource.
[0176] Alternatively, only the base station can perform full duplex operation and the UE can perform half duplex operation. The base station can simultaneously perform DL and UL transmission and reception using the same or different frequency resources in the same time resource, but the UE only performs DL reception or UL transmission in a specific time resource. In this case, the base station performs full duplex operation when performing DL transmission and the Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 38 / 187 33 / 84 UL reception with different EUs at the same time.
[0177] The content of this disclosure is described assuming that the base station performs / supports full duplex operation, but the UE performs / supports half duplex operation. However, the content of this disclosure may apply even when both the base station and the UE perform / support full duplex operation.
[0178] Based on this discussion, the present disclosure proposes a method for transmitting PUSCH from an UE when a PUSCH transmission includes both SBFD symbols and non-SBFD symbols during full duplex intracarrier operation.
[0179] Hereafter, the term network can be interpreted as gNB or CU / DU. Additionally, the term UE can be interpreted as MT (mobile terminal, mobile termination) of an IAB node or NCR-MT (MT of a network-controlled repeater). A. Characteristics of DL / UL time / frequency resources for SBFD and SSFD operation
[0180] A cell (base station) can perform both DL transmission and UL reception on the same time resource in an FD scheme, such as SBFD or SSFD. For example, the base station can perform HD operation on one time resource and FD operation on a second time resource (which may be a different time resource from the first time resource).
[0181] The first resource that performs the HD operation performs the DL operation or the UL operation on the frequency resources that span the entire system bandwidth. In the first time resource that performs the HD operation, the network performs the DL operation through time resource 1-1 and the UL operation through time resource 1-2. At this point, time resource 1-1 and time resource 1-2 do not overlap.
[0182] In the second time resource that performs the FD operation, the network Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 39 / 187 34 / 84 performs DL operations through all or part of the frequency resources (first frequency resources) among the frequency resources that constitute the cell system's BW and performs UL operations through all or part of the frequency resources (second frequency resources).
[0183] FIG. 16 shows examples of a first time feature, a second time feature, a first frequency feature and a second frequency feature.
[0184] Referring to (a) in FIG. 16, in the first time feature (represented by A), the device is operated in HD. In the second time feature (represented by B), for example, the device can be operated as SBFD. In the first time feature, the feature indicated by DL corresponds to time feature 1-1 described above, and the feature indicated by UL corresponds to time feature 1-2 described above.
[0185] Referring to (b) of FIG. 16, in the second time feature, the frequency feature that operates as DL corresponds to the first frequency feature described above, and the frequency feature that operates as UL corresponds to the second frequency feature described above.
[0186] FIG. 17 shows another example of a first time feature, a second time feature, a first frequency feature and a second frequency feature.
[0187] Referring to (a) in FIG. 17, in the first time feature (denoted by A), the device operates as a half-duplex. In the second time feature (denoted by B), the device can operate, for example, as an SSFD. In the first time feature, the feature designated DL corresponds to the first time feature described above, and the feature designated UL corresponds to the second time feature described above.
[0188] Referring to (b) of FIG. 17, in the second time resource, the Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 40 / 187 35 / 84 frequency features that operate as DL and DL + UL correspond to the first frequency feature described above, and frequency features that operate as DL + UL correspond to the second frequency feature described above.
[0189] The first frequency feature and / or the second frequency feature may have all or some of the following characteristics.
[0190] 1) When performing SBFD operation, the first frequency resource and the second frequency resource do not overlap. This is to ensure that DL and UL operations are performed through different frequency resources. In this case, there may be frequency resources that do not correspond to both the first and second frequency resources, and these frequency resources are called guard sub-bands or guard frequency resources. These guard frequency resources may be necessary to reduce interference from DL transmission on UL reception. The guard frequency resource may be located between the first frequency resource and the second frequency resource.
[0191] 2) When performing the SSFD operation, the first frequency resource and the second frequency resource may overlap. In this case, there may be frequency resources that do not correspond to both the first and second frequency resources, and these frequency resources are called guard sub-bands or guard frequency resources. These guard frequency resources may be necessary to reduce interference from DL transmission on adjacent carriers in UL reception and / or to reduce interference from DL transmission on UL reception on adjacent carriers.
[0192] 3) When performing a SBFD operation, the second frequency feature can be composed of contiguous frequency features, and the first frequency feature can be composed of non-contiguous frequency features. At this point, the first frequency feature can be composed of a plurality of non-contiguous sets (e.g., two), and each set can be composed of Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 41 / 187 36 / 84 contiguous frequency resources. This aims to reduce interference from DL transmission on carriers adjacent to UL resources by placing the second frequency resource used for UL at the center of the frequency resources that make up the cell. On the other hand, the first frequency resource can be composed of contiguous frequency resources, and the second frequency resource can be composed of non-contiguous frequency resources. At this point, the second frequency resource can be composed of multiple (e.g., two) non-contiguous sets, and each set can be composed of contiguous frequency resources. This aims to reduce interference from DL transmission on UL resources on adjacent carriers by placing the second frequency resource used for DL at the center of the frequency resources that make up the cell.
[0193] 4) When performing the SSFD operation, the second frequency resource can be composed of some frequency resources from the first frequency resource. In this case, the second frequency resource can be configured to have fewer X physical resource blocks (PRBs) on one or both edges of a carrier than the first frequency resource. This aims to reduce interference from DL transmission on carriers adjacent to UL reception.
[0194] The network determines the 'first time resource' and the 'second time resource', and the 'first frequency resource' and 'second frequency resource' as described above, and provides all or part of the corresponding information to the EU.
[0195] For FD (SBFD and / or SSFD) operation of the cell, the UE can determine information about the time resources (hereinafter referred to as SBFD symbols) that operate as SBFD (and / or SSFD). For this purpose, information about the SBFD symbol can be configured for the UE from the network.
[0196] When configuring a specific time resource as a time resource that operates on SBFD (symbol SBFD), both DL and UL resources can exist. Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 42 / 187 37 / 84 in that time feature. In this case, if there is no UL signal for the base station to receive in that time feature, the base station can only perform DL transmissions. In SBFD features, DL transmission only occurs within the DL subband. Therefore, even if there is no UL signal transmitted in the UL subband, DL transmission can only be performed within the DL subband.
[0197] In this case, if the base station has no UL transmissions to receive, even if the specific time resource is a resource determined as an SBFD symbol, it may consider performing DL transmissions outside the DL subband as well as within the DL subband to improve the DL throughput. That is, it may consider performing DL transmissions across the entire band.
[0198] This means that, in resources designated as SBFD symbol, a fallback to the TDD operation can be considered, where the DL or UL operation is performed across the entire band, instead of the SBFD operation in the DL / UL sub-bands.
[0199] In resources not designated as SBFD symbol, the UE can perform the TDD operation (half-duplex operation) as a conventional UE. That is, it can only perform DL or UL operations using all the frequency resources of the cell.
[0200] A UE can receive SBFD symbol information from the network. Based on this, it can determine whether a specific symbol is an SBFD symbol or a non-SBFD symbol.
[0201] If the EU determines that a specific symbol is a non-SBFD symbol, it may perform a legacy operation on the symbol (or determine that a legacy operation must be performed).
[0202] ii) If the UE determines that a specific symbol is an SBFD symbol, it will determine that the symbol is a symbol that can perform SBFD operations from the perspective of the cell. Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 43 / 187 38 / 84
[0203] The UE may not receive configuration information for SBFD symbols from the network. In this case, i) the UE may determine all symbols as non-SBFD symbols. Therefore, the UE may operate as in legacy TDD for all symbols.
[0204] Or ii) if the UE does not receive configuration information for SBFD symbols from the network, the UE may determine all symbols as SBFD symbols.
[0205] If the UE determines that a specific symbol is an SBFD symbol, i) in general, the UE may perform DL reception within the DL sub-band and UL transmission within the UL sub-band during the time feature in which the cell is determined to operate in SBFD. ii) In addition, the base station may consider performing only DL transmission or UL reception during the time feature in which the cell is determined to operate in SBFD, or perform DL transmission or UL reception across the entire band (capable of receiving DL or UL scheduling), as needed.
[0206] A UE can be configured with information about SBFD symbols / non-SBFD symbols (which can be referred to as SBFD symbol / non-SBFD symbol information) from the network through semi-static signaling. By means of this, the UE can determine whether a specific symbol is used as an SBFD symbol or a non-SBFD symbol.
[0207] Alternatively, the EU may determine the location of a symbol used as an SBFD symbol and / or a non-SBFD symbol. In this case, the EU may determine a symbol for which SBFD symbol / non-SBFD symbol information has not been defined as a non-SBFD symbol. Alternatively, the EU may determine a symbol for which SBFD symbol / non-SBFD symbol information has not been defined as an SBFD symbol.
[0208] In addition, the UE can receive SBFD symbol / non-SBFD symbol information via network dynamic signaling. This indication can be made via specific UE DCI, for example, by granting Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 44 / 187 39 / 84 DL / UL designation. Alternatively, this designation can be made using a specific EU group IDC, such as the IDC 2_0 format.
[0209] The SBFD symbol / non-SBFD symbol information may specifically mean the following. i) Information on whether a given symbol resource is used as an SBFD symbol or a non-SBFD symbol. ii) Information on whether a resource configured to operate as an SBFD symbol is changed to a non-SBFD symbol. iii) Information on whether DL and / or UL transmissions on a specific symbol operate using the entire frequency range (broadband) or only within a sub-band on the symbol.
[0210] Dynamic indication can only be provided or applied to symbols that are determined to operate as SBFD symbols.
[0211] The UE can determine the UL sub-band and DL sub-band based on network settings.
[0212] i) The UE receives information about UL sub-bands and DL sub-bands from the network and can determine frequency resources that constitute the UL and DL sub-bands from them.
[0213] ii) Alternatively, the UE can receive only information about the network's UL sub-band and determine the frequency resources that constitute the UL sub-band from it. In this case, within the frequency resources that constitute the system's BW, the remaining frequency resources, excluding the frequency resources defined / determined as UL sub-bands, can be determined as DL sub-bands. Additionally, if the UE is configured with frequency resources that constitute a guard sub-band, the remaining frequency resources, excluding the frequency resources configured / determined as UL sub-bands and guard sub-bands, within the frequency resources Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 45 / 187 40 / 84, which constitute the BW of the system, can be determined as DL sub-bands.
[0214] iii) Alternatively, the UE can receive only information about the network's DL sub-band and determine the frequency resources that constitute the UL sub-band from it. In this case, within the frequency resources that constitute the system's BW, the remaining frequency resources, excluding the frequency resources defined / determined as DL sub-bands, can be determined as UL sub-bands. Additionally, if the UE is configured with frequency resources that constitute a guard sub-band, the remaining frequency resources, excluding the frequency resources configured / determined as DL sub-bands and guard sub-bands, within the frequency resources that constitute the system's BW, can be determined as UL sub-bands.
[0215] In this disclosure, the time resource operating in SBFD or the symbol SBFD may refer to the second time resource mentioned above. Additionally, the time resource operating in TDD, the time resource operating in HD, the symbol TDD, or the symbol HD in this disclosure may refer to the first time resource mentioned above.
[0216] The DL sub-band mentioned in this disclosure may refer to the first frequency feature mentioned above. Additionally, the UL sub-band mentioned in this disclosure may refer to the second frequency feature mentioned above. B. PUSCH / PDSCH transmission and reception capabilities considering SBFD operation.
[0217] When a UE is scaled up for PUSCH transmission (DG (dynamic grant)-PUSCH, CG (configured grant)-PUSCH, TBoMS (multi-slot TB processing), etc.) via RRC configuration and / or DCI signaling of the network, some or all of the frequency resources allocated for the corresponding PUSCH transmission may not be included in the UL sub-band. Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 46 / 187 41 / 84
[0218] For example, the network expects the UE to receive the CG-PUSCH using non-SBFD symbols and sets the CG-PUSCH reception frequency resource for the UE, but a transmission symbol of a specific CG-PUSCH may include an SBFD symbol.
[0219] FIG. 18 illustrates the frequency resources allocated for PUSCH transmission.
[0220] Referring to FIG. 18, when a base station scales a PUSCH repeater or TBoMS transmission to a UE via multiple slot resources, an SBFD symbol may be included in the PUSCH and TBoMS transmission symbols via multiple slots. For example, frequency resources (PRBs) for PUSCH transmission are allocated from slot n to slot n+3, and slot n may consist of non-SBFD symbols and slots n+1 to n+3 may consist of SBFD symbols.
[0221] Thus, the symbol resources for which a UE transmits a specific PUSCH may include an SBFD symbol. In this case, all or part of the frequency resources allocated to the UE for PUSCH transmission may not be included in the UL sub-band, as observed in slots n+1 to n+3.
[0222] When a UE performs a specific PUSCH transmission, if the symbol resource for PUSCH transmission includes an SBFD symbol, the UE may perform the PUSCH transmission using all or part of the frequency resources within the UL sub-band among the frequency resources allocated for PUSCH transmission.
[0223] More specifically, the PUSCH transmission frequency resources can be determined as follows, and PUSCH transmission can be performed using the corresponding frequency resources.
[0224] i) Among the PRB resources allocated to transmit PUSCH, only the PRB resources included in the UL sub-band can be determined as Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 47 / 187 42 / 84 PRB resources that transmit PUSCH.
[0225] ii) Among the RBG resources allocated to transmit PUSCH, only the RBG resources in which all PRBs that constitute the RBG are included in the UL sub-band can be determined as RBG resources to transmit PUSCH.
[0226] At this time, the SBFD symbol may mean a symbol in which the UE determines that the cell operates in SBFD based solely on the network's semi-static signaling, and the non-SBFD symbol may mean a symbol in which the UE determines that the cell operates in non-SBFD based solely on the network's semi-static signaling.
[0227] Alternatively, the SBFD symbol may mean a symbol determined by the EU to operate as an SBFD based on static signaling and dynamic network signaling, or a symbol determined by the EU to perform DL / UL operation via resources within a sub-band. A non-SBFD symbol may mean a symbol that the EU determines to operate as a non-SBFD based on static signaling and dynamic network signaling, or a symbol that the EU determines to perform DL / UL operation in a broadband (i.e., the entire frequency resource within the symbol).
[0228] Thus, when a UE performs PUSCH transmission using all or part of the frequency resources within the UL sub-band among the frequency resources allocated for PUSCH transmission, the actual PUSCH transmission can be performed using only a smaller number of PRB resources compared to the PRB resources allocated for PUSCH transmission.
[0229] Meanwhile, the transport block (TB) size (TBS) for PUSCH transmission can be determined based on the number of PRBs allocated (e.g., via the FDRA field of the UL grant indicated via Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 48 / 187 43 / 84 of the DCI).
[0230] In the case of i) PUSCH scheduled by granting UL of random access response (RAR), ii) PUSCH scheduled by granting UL of fallback RAR, iii) PUSCH scheduled by DCI format 0_0 with CRC scrambled by CRNTI, MCS-C-RNTI, TC-RNTI, CS-RNTI, iv) PUSCH scheduled by DCI format 0_1 or DCI format 0_2 with CRC scrambled by C-RNTI, MCS-C-RNTI, CS-RNTI, v) CG-PUSCH transmission or A-message PUSCH, if Imcs is 0 or greater and 27 or less (0 < Imcs < 27) and transformation pre-coding is enabled, the UE first determines the number of feature elements (REs) in the slot (Nre, this can be considered the total number of REs allocated for PUSCH) to determine the TBS, as follows.
[0231] To this end, the UE first determines the number of REs (N're) allocated to PUSCH within a PRB as follows. [Equation 1] At' _ ittRB. ittsh nRBB nPRB RE — NscJVSímb DMRS oh
[0232] In Equation 1, NRBsc = 12, which is the number of subcarriers in the frequency domain of a physical resource block (PRB).
[0233] Nshsymb is the number of symbols L in the PUSCH allocation.
[0234] Nprbdmrs is the number of REs for DM-RS per PRB in the allocated duration, including the overhead of DM-RS CDM groups without data.
[0235] NPRBoh is an overhead configured by the xOverhead top-tier parameter of PUSCH-ServingCellConfig. If NPRBoh is not configured, NPRBoh will be considered 0.
[0236] The EU determines the total number of REs (Nre) allocated to PUSCH as follows.
[0237] For TBoMS, Nre = N * min (156, N're) · nPRB, where nPRB is the total number of PRBs allocated to the UE and N is the number of slots used for the Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 49 / 187 44 / 84 determination of TBS as indicated by 'numberOfSlotsTBoMS'. Otherwise, Nre = min (156, N're) · nPRB.
[0238] For example, the UE can obtain a non-quantized intermediate variable (Ninfo) based on Nre, the modulation order (Qm) determined based on the modulation and coding scheme field (Imcs), target code rate (R), number of layers (v), etc., and then determine the TBS based on the quantized intermediate number of information bits (N'info) obtained according to the value of Ninfo.
[0239] For example, Ninfo can be obtained by the following equation. [Equation 1-1] Nin / o = Nre ·R· Qm· v
[0240] If Ninfo is less than or equal to a given value (for example, 3824), the quantized intermediate number of information bits N'info can be obtained as follows. [Equation 1-2] Nín / o= max (24, 2n· [-7P]) where n = max(3, [log2(Mn / o)] — 6)
[0241] After that, find the nearest TBS that is not less than N'info in the table below. TABLE 5 TBS Index TBS Index TBS Index TBS Index 1 24 31 336 61 1288 91 3624 2 32 32 352 62 1320 92 3752 3 40 33 368 63 1352 93 3824 4 48 34 384 64 1416 5 56 35 408 65 1480 6 64 36 432 66 1544 7 72 37 456 67 1608 8 80 38 480 68 1672 9 88 39 504 69 1736 10 96 40 528 70 1800 11 104 41 552 71 1864 12 112 42 576 72 1928 13 120 43 608 73 2024 Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 50 / 187 45 / 84 14 128 44 640 74 2088 15 136 45 672 75 2152 16 144 46 704 76 2216 17 152 47 736 77 2280 18 160 48 768 78 2408 19 168 49 808 79 2472 20 176 50 848 80 2536 21 184 51 888 81 2600 22 192 52 928 82 2664 23 208 53 984 83 2728 24 224 54 1032 84 2792 25 240 55 1064 85 2856 26 256 56 1128 86 2976 27 272 57 1160 87 3104 28 288 58 1192 88 3240 29 304 59 1224 89 3368 30 320 60 1256 90 3496
[0242] If Ninfo is greater than a certain value (for example, 3824), the intermediate quantized number of information bits N'info can be obtained in the following way. [Equation 1-3] ^info =max(3840,2n xround Ç''''^24)) where n = [log 2(N^o - 24)_| - 5
[0243] At this time, the TBS can be determined as shown in Table 6 below shows the target code rate R and the value of N'info. TABLE 6 TBS = 8 · C · if - ' _ — Ni nfo + 24 R < 1 / 4 - 24, where C = or - ' _ — Ni nfo+ 24 8 · C 3816 if Ninfo> 8424 TBS = 8 · C · ΪΝ + + 241 1n.nf o + - 24, where C = ΓΝ · + + 241 I^mfoTí^ 8 · C 8424 TBS = 8 · or + 24 — N ·f''mfo end if
[0244] FIG. 19 illustrates bits transmitted in each PUSCH during transmission. Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, p. 51 / 187 46 / 84 repeated from PUSCH.
[0245] Referring to FIG. 19, the transmitted bits (which may also be called rate-adjusted bits) transmitted through each PUSCH feature are determined based on the RV (redundancy version) value applied to each PUSCH transmission, from the encoded bits.
[0246] For example, as illustrated in FIG. 19, encoded bits composed of systematic bits and parity bits can be transmitted, some (191) by means of the first PUSCH to which RV0 is applied, some (192) by means of the second PUSCH to which RV1 is applied, some (193) by means of the third PUSCH to which RV2 is applied, and some (194) by means of the fourth PUSCH to which RV3 is applied.
[0247] At this time, the amount of 'bits transmitted' for each PUSCH is determined according to the number of PRBs used for each PUSCH transmission.
[0248] Since the TB size is determined based on the number of PRBs allocated, as before, if an SBFD symbol is included among the symbol resources that transmit the PUSCH, the actual PUSCH transmission can be performed using only a smaller number of PRB resources than the PRB resources allocated for PUSCH transmission. In this case, a smaller number of transmitted bits (rate-adjusted bits) are transmitted via PUSCH compared to when PUSCH is transmitted using non-SBFD symbols.
[0249] Therefore, even if the PUSCH corresponding to multiple RV values is transmitted by PUSCH repetition and retransmission, encoded bits that are not transmitted may occur.
[0250] If some of the rate-adjusted bits corresponding to RV0 are not transmitted, these bits may be systematic bits, which may further impact the PUSCH reception performance.
[0251] To solve these problems, it is necessary to improve the method for Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 52 / 187 47 / 84 determine the TB size taking into account the reduction in the number of PRBs transmitted in the SBFD slots.
[0252] Considering this, the present disclosure describes a method for determining the transport block size (TB) (TBS) of a PUSCH / PDSCH transmitted and received by a UE, considering the SBFD symbol during intracarrier full duplex operation.
[0253] As in the PUSCH example, when a UE performs the reception of a specific PDSCH, if the symbol resource transmitting the PDSCH includes an SBFD symbol, the UE can perform the PDSCH reception using all or part of the frequency resources within the DL sub-band among the frequency resources allocated for PDSCH reception.
[0254] This disclosure assumes SBFD operation, in which a cell performs DL and UL simultaneously using different frequency resources (subbands) in the same time resource. However, the content of this disclosure may also be applied to a cell performing SSFD operation.
[0255] Although this disclosure assumes the transmission of PUSCH (including TBoMS), this disclosure may also be applied to the reception of PDSCH. In this case, the PUSCH and UL sub-bands may be interpreted as being replaced by the PDSCH and DL sub-bands, respectively.
[0256] As described above, to determine the size of the TB transmitted via PUSCH, the UE determines the Nre value as follows.
[0257] For TBoMS, Nre = N * min (156, N're) · nPRB, where nPRB is the total number of PRBs allocated to the UE and N is the number of slots used for TBS determination indicated by 'numberOfSlotsTBoMS'.
[0258] In other cases, Nre = min(156,N'RE) · nPRB.
[0259] At this time, nPRB may be equal to the number of PRBs allocated to the UE in the FDRA field for PUSCH transmission. Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 53 / 187 48 / 84
[0260] Meanwhile, if the time resource for transmitting a PUSCH includes an SBFD symbol, the UE can transmit the PUSCH using only PRB resources within the UL sub-band. In this case, the UE can perform the PUSCH transmission using only a smaller number of PRB resources compared to the number of PRBs allocated to the UE.
[0261] Alternatively, the number of PRBs used (or allocated) for PUSCH transmission using non-SBFD symbols may be different from the number of PRBs used (or allocated) for PUSCH transmission using symbols that include SBFD symbols. Thus, the number of PRBs used for PUSCH transmission may vary depending on the symbol type (SBFD symbol or non-SBFD symbol) in which the PUSCH is transmitted.
[0262] For example, when the number of PRBs allocated to a UE is nPRB, the number of PRBs actually used by the UE to transmit a PUSCH on an SBFD resource may be n'PRB. Alternatively, when the number of PRBs used (or allocated) for PUSCH transmission using non-SBFD symbols is nPRB, the number of PRBs used (or allocated) for PUSCH transmission using symbols that include an SBFD symbol may be n'PRB. In this case, n'PRB may be equal to or less than nPRB.
[0263] Currently, the nPRB value can be specifically the following. i) Number of PRBs allocated for PUSCH transmission. ii) The number of PRBs allocated to be applied to the PUSCH transmitted using non-SBFD symbols. iii) The number of PRBs used by the EU for PUSCH transmission on a non-SBFD symbol.
[0264] At this moment, the value of n'PRB can be specifically the following. i) The number of PRBs included in the UL sub-band among the PRBs allocated for PUSCH transmission. Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, p. 54 / 187 49 / 84 i) Among the RBGs allocated for PUSCH transmission, when the number of RBGs in which all the PRBs that constitute the RBGs are included in the UL sub-band is A, the number of PRBs that constitute the A RBGs. iii) The number of PRBs used by the EU for PUSCH transmission in the SBFD symbol.
[0265] 5.1. Method for determining the TB size (TBS) of PUSCH transmission
[0266] Below are described methods for calculating the Nre value to determine the TB size of a PUSCH transmission by a UE. The specific process for determining the TBS can be verified, for example, in Equations 1 to 1-3, in Tables 5 and 6 described above. In this case, the Nre value can be obtained using at least one of the following methods.
[0267] Method 1. The EU can determine the size of the PUSCH TB based on the number of PRBs used for PUSCH transmission on the SBFD symbol.
[0268] To determine the TB size of the PUSCH transmission, the UE can determine the Nre value as follows. [Equation 2] Nre= min( 156,NrE) · nPRB · a
[0269] In equation 2 above, the value of α (scale factor) can be a positive number equal to or less than 1. More specifically, the value of α can be determined as follows.
[0270] Alt a. α may be equal to the ratio of the number of PRBs actually used for PUSCH transmission on an SBFD symbol to the number of PRBs allocated for PUSCH transmission. Alternatively, α may be equal to the ratio of the number of PRBs used for PUSCH transmission on an SBFD symbol to the number of PRBs used for PUSCH transmission on a non-SBFD symbol. That is, α may be equal to n'PRB / nPRB. Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 55 / 187 50 / 84
[0271] Alt b. α can be a value configured for UE by the network. This value can be set via Radio Resource Control (RRC) signaling, Medium Access Control (MAC-CE) element or Downlink Control Information (DCI).
[0272] Method 2. The EU can determine the size of the PUSCH TB outbreak based on the average number of PRBs used for PUSCH transmission.
[0273] To determine the TB size of the PUSCH transmission, the UE can determine the Nre value as follows. [Equation 3] Nre =^1 · min( 156,nR£) · nPRB+ -2 · min( 156,nRe) · nPRB · α Λ Λ
[0274] In Equation 3, the value of α can be a positive number less than or equal to 1. More specifically, the value of α can be determined as follows.
[0275] Alt a. α may be equal to the ratio of the number of PRBs actually used for PUSCH transmission on an SBFD symbol to the number of PRBs allocated for PUSCH transmission. Alternatively, α may be equal to the ratio of the number of PRBs used for PUSCH transmission on an SBFD symbol to the number of PRBs used for PUSCH transmission on a non-SBFD symbol. That is, α may be equal to n'PRB / nPRB.
[0276] Alt b. α can be a value configured for UE by the network. This value can be set via RRC signaling, MAC-CE, DCI, etc.
[0277] The value of K in Equation 3 may represent the number of repetitions applied to the PUSCH transmission.
[0278] The value of K2 in Equation 3 can be determined by one of the following methods. i) Among the K PUSCH transmissions, this means the number of PUSCH transmissions in which the symbols that constitute the PUSCH transmission include at least Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, p. 56 / 187 51 / 84 minus one SBFD symbol. Or, among the K PUSCH transmissions, it means the number of PUSCH transmissions in which all the symbols that constitute the PUSCH transmission are composed of SBFD symbols. ii) This means the number of PUSCH transmissions transmitted using PRBs smaller than the number of PRBs allocated (nPRB) among the K PUSCH transmissions. iii) This represents the number of PUSCH transmissions transmitted using n'prb PRBs between K PUSCH transmissions. iv) It means K - Ki.
[0279] The value of Ki in Equation 3 can be determined by one of the following methods. i) Among the K PUSCH transmissions, means the number of PUSCH transmissions in which the symbols that constitute the PUSCH transmission include at least one non-SBFD symbol. Or, among the K PUSCH transmissions, means the number of PUSCH transmissions in which all the symbols that constitute the PUSCH transmission are composed of non-SBFD symbols. ii) This represents the number of PUSCH transmissions that utilize all the allocated nprb PRBs among the K PUSCH transmissions. iii) This represents the number of PUSCH transmissions transmitted using nPRBs PRBs between K PUSCH transmissions. iv) It means K - K2.
[0280] Equation 3 above can also be transformed into the following equation 3-1. [Equation 3-1] Nre = (v + α · -2) · min( 156,nR£) · nPRB\í\ K /
[0281] In Equation 3-1, (K1 / K + aK2 / K) can also be replaced by a single scaling factor β. Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 57 / 187 52 / 84
[0282] So, equation 3 can be expressed as the following equation 3-2. [Equation 3-2] Nre =β·min(156,NRE) ·nPRB
[0283] That is, Equation 3 can be expressed in the same form as Equation 2, as in Equation 3-2, but at this point, the scaling factor β and the scaling factor α may have different physical meanings / values, etc. For example, α is a scaling factor to indicate how much smaller the number of frequency domain resources (PRBs) used for PUSCH transmission on SBFD resources is compared to the number of frequency domain resources used for PUSCH transmission on non-SBFD resources, as the ratio of the number of PRBs used for PUSCH transmission on an SBFD symbol (or an FD slot) to the number of PRBs used for PUSCH transmission on a non-SBFD symbol (or an HD slot). On the other hand, β is a scaling factor to reflect the average number of frequency domain resources (PRBs) used for PUSCH transmission when PUSCH transmission is performed on time resources, including HD slots and FD slots.
[0284] FIG. 20 illustrates a method of operation of a UE in a wireless communication system.
[0285] Referring to FIG. 20, the UE determines the size of a transport block (TB) (S201).
[0286] The UE transmits the TB with the size via a shared physical uplink channel (PUSCH) in each slot of a plurality of slots, wherein the plurality of slots includes a full-duplex (FD) slot capable of simultaneously performing an uplink operation and a downlink operation using different frequency bands within the slot, and a half-duplex (HD) slot capable of performing an uplink operation or a downlink operation within the slot, and the size is determined based on a value obtained by applying a scaling factor to the 'number of Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 58 / 187 53 / 84 total resource elements allocated to PUSCH (Nre)' determined based on a physical resource block (PRB) transmitted in the HD slot (S202).
[0287] The scaling factor may be a ratio of the number of PRBs used for transmission of the shared physical uplink channel in the FD symbol included in the FD slot to the number of PRBs allocated for transmission of the shared physical uplink channel (PUSCH).
[0288] Specifically, the scaling factor can be (number of PRBs used for transmission of the shared physical uplink channel in the FD symbol included in the FD slot) / (number of PRBs allocated for transmission of the shared physical uplink channel (PUSCH)).
[0289] In some embodiments, the scaling factor may be a ratio of the number of PRBs used for transmission of the shared physical uplink channel on the FD symbol included in the FD slot to the number of PRBs allocated for transmission of the shared physical uplink channel on the HD symbol included in the HD slot.
[0290] Specifically, the scaling factor can be (the number of PRBs used for the transmission of a shared physical uplink channel on an FD symbol included in an FD slot) / (the number of PRBs allocated for the transmission of a shared physical uplink channel on an HD symbol included in an HD slot).
[0291] According to one embodiment, the scaling factor can be a value configured from a network and can be configured by means of at least one radio resource control (RRC) message, a medium access control (MAC-CE) element and downlink control information (DCI).
[0292] The specific method for obtaining the scaling factor is described in detail in Method 1 above.
[0293] In some embodiments, the scaling factor can be determined based on the average number of PRBs used for transmission of the shared physical uplink channel across a plurality of slots. A specific method Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 59 / 187 54 / 84 to obtain this scaling factor is described in detail in Method 2 above.
[0294] FIG. 21 illustrates the signaling and operation process between a base station and a UE when applying the method of FIG. 20.
[0295] Referring to FIG. 21, the base station provides scheduling information to schedule / program the uplink transmission to the UE (S211).
[0296] The base station receives a transport block (TB) with a specific transport block size (TBS) via a PUSCH in each slot of a plurality of slots (S212).
[0297] Specifically, the base station receives a transport block (TB) with a specific transport block size (TBS) from the UE via a shared physical uplink channel (PUSCH) in each of a plurality of slots based on scaling information. In this case, the plurality of slots includes a full duplex (FD) slot capable of simultaneously performing an uplink operation and a downlink operation using different frequency bands within a slot, and a half duplex (HD) slot capable of performing an uplink operation or a downlink operation within a slot, and the TBS is determined based on a value obtained by applying a scaling factor to a 'total number of resource elements allocated for PUSCH (Nre)' determined based on a physical resource block (PRB) transmitted in the HD slot.
[0298] According to the method of the present disclosure, when repeated PUSCH transmission is performed on different types of time-domain slots, for example, slots in which FD slots and HD slots are mixed, the TBS can be determined reflecting the frequency domain resources actually used in each slot, thus reducing the probability of errors occurring.
[0299] Furthermore, it is possible to avoid ambiguity in the determination of the TBS when repeated PUSCH transmission is performed in different types of slots in the time domain. Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 60 / 187 55 / 84
[0300] Furthermore, in FIG. 20 and FIG. 21, the TB size determination method, as described above, can be applied in the following conditions / situations.
[0301] Condition 1. In SBFD cells, the UE always applies the TB size determination method mentioned above.
[0302] When performing the SBFD operation, the UE always applies this method. That is, even if the actual PUSCH is transmitted using only non-SBFD symbols, when the cell performs the SBFD operation, the UE applies the above method to determine the Nre value. At this point, for example, if the UE is configured with network information about symbol resources that operate semi-statically in SBFD for a specific cell or symbol resources that can operate in SBFD, the UE can determine that the corresponding cell performs an SBFD operation. And / or if the UE is configured with information about UL sub-bands (and / or DL sub-bands) for a specific network cell, the UE can determine that the corresponding cell performs an SBFD operation.
[0303] Condition 2. If the symbols that make up the first PUSCH transmission include an SBFD symbol, the TB size determination method above will be applied.
[0304] When a PUSCH is transmitted repeatedly K times (including K=1), if the symbols that constitute the first PUSCH transmission among the K PUSCH transmissions include at least one SBFD symbol, the UE determines the value of Nre for the PUSCH transmission by applying the above method (i.e., the method according to this disclosure). Otherwise, the UE determines the value of Nre by applying the legacy method (i.e., the conventional method).
[0305] Or, when PUSCH is transmitted repeatedly K times (including K=1), if all the symbols that constitute the first PUSCH transmission are composed of SBFD symbols, the UE determines the value of Nre for transmission of Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, p. 61 / 187 56 / 84 PUSCH applies the method according to this disclosure. Otherwise, the EU determines the Nre value by applying the legacy method.
[0306] Or, when PUSCH is transmitted repeatedly K times (including K=1), if the first PUSCH transmission is performed using n'PRB ( <nprb) prbs, o ue determina valor de nre para a transmissão pusch aplicando método acordo com presente divulgação. caso contrário, legado.
[0307] For type B PUSCH repeaters, the first PUSCH transmission may mean the first nominal repeat.
[0308] Condition 3. If the SBFD symbol is included in the symbols that make up the K repeated PUSCH transmissions, the TB size determination method according to this disclosure is applied.
[0309] When a PUSCH is transmitted repeatedly K times (including K=1), if, for at least one of the K PUSCH transmissions, the symbols constituting the PUSCH transmission include at least one SBFD symbol, the UE determines the Nre value for the PUSCH transmission by applying the method in accordance with this disclosure. Otherwise, the UE determines the Nre value by applying the legacy method.
[0310] When a PUSCH is transmitted repeatedly K times (including K=1), if all the symbols that constitute the PUSCH transmission are SBFD symbols for at least one of the K PUSCH transmissions, the UE determines the value of Nre for the PUSCH transmission by applying the method according to this disclosure. Otherwise, the UE determines the value of Nre by applying the legacy method.
[0311] Or, when PUSCH is transmitted repeatedly K times (including K=1), for at least one of the K PUSCH transmissions, if the PUSCH transmission is performed using n'PRB ( <nprb) prbs, o ue determina valor de nre para a transmissão pusch aplicando método acordo com presentePetition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 62 / 187 57 / 84 disclosure. Otherwise, the EU determines the value of Nre by applying the legacy method.
[0312] Condition 4. The method for determining TB size according to this disclosure is applied in accordance with the network's instructions.
[0313] If the UE receives explicit signaling from the network to reduce / adjust the TB size, the UE will determine the Nre value for the PUSCH transmission using the method in accordance with this disclosure. Otherwise, the UE determines the Nre value using the legacy method. Signaling may be indicated by means of RRC and / or DCI signaling.
[0314] In cases where the above indication is provided by means of an RRC message (information element), if the UE is instructed to reduce / adjust the TB size by means of the indication, the UE may always apply the method in accordance with this disclosure. Alternatively, if such an indication is received and, in addition, satisfies conditions 1, 2 or 3, the UE may apply the method in accordance with this disclosure.
[0315] In the case where the above indication is given via INN, if the reduction / adjustment of the TB size is given via the indicated INN, the UE may apply the method in accordance with this disclosure to the PUSCH scaled via the indicated INN. Alternatively, if such indication is received and the PUSCH scaled via the INN also additionally satisfies condition 1, 2 or 3, the method in accordance with this disclosure may be applied to the PUSCH.
[0316] Condition 5. If the UE is configured with the network α value, the TB size determination method in accordance with this disclosure applies.
[0317] If the UE is configured with a network α value, the UE will determine the Nre value for the PUSCH transmission using the method in accordance with this disclosure. Otherwise, the UE determines the Nre value using the legacy method. Alternatively, upon receiving such an indication, the UE may apply the method of Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 63 / 187 58 / 84 in accordance with this disclosure if conditions 1, 2 or 3 are additionally met.
[0318] Condition 6. The method for determining the TB size according to this disclosure is applied according to the indication of the type of symbol through which the PUSCH is transmitted (i.e., whether it is an SBFD symbol or a non-SBFD symbol).
[0319] The UE can be indicated via DCI, which scales the PUSCH from the network, in relation to the symbol type (SBFD symbol / non-SBFD symbol) of the symbol resources performing this PUSCH transmission. In this way, it can be indicated whether the PUSCH transmission should be performed assuming an SBFD symbol or assuming a non-SBFD symbol. If the UE is indicated to perform the PUSCH transmission assuming an SBFD symbol, the UE will determine the Nre value for the PUSCH transmission by applying the method according to this disclosure. Otherwise, the UE determines the Nre value by applying the legacy method.
[0320] At this time, the SBFD / non-SBFD symbol in the content above may have the following meanings. i) The SBFD symbol may signify a symbol indicating that the UE is operating in SBFD mode based on the semi-static signaling received from the network. Furthermore, the non-SBFD symbol may signify a symbol indicating that the cell is operating in non-SBFD mode based on the semi-static signaling received from the network. Specifically, this assumption can be applied to conditions 1 through 5 above. ii) Alternatively, an SBFD symbol may mean a symbol determined by the UE as operating as an SBFD based on semi-static and dynamic signaling received from the network, or a symbol determined as performing UL operations via resources within the UL sub-band. A non-SBFD symbol may mean a symbol that the UE determines is operating in non-SBFD based on static and dynamic signaling received from the network. Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 64 / 187 59 / 84 or a symbol whereby the EU determines that the UL operation is being performed not only on resources within the UL sub-band, but also on resources outside the UL sub-band.
[0321] The above method can only be applied to PUSCH transmission, not to TBoMS (transaction processing in multiple slots).
[0322] 5.2. Method for determining the TB size of a TBoMS transmission
[0323] The EU can calculate the Nre value to determine the TB size for TBoMS transmission as follows.
[0324] Method 1. The EU can determine the TB size (TBS) for TBoMS based on the number of PRBs used for TBoMS transmission in the SBFD symbol.
[0325] To determine the TB size of the TBoMS transmission, the UE can determine the Nre value as follows. [Equation 4] Nre = N * ^nln( 156,Nre~) * n.pRR tz
[0326] In Equation 4, N can mean the number of slots that make up TBoMS, and this value of N can be indicated by 'numberOfSlotsTBoMS'.
[0327] In Equation 4, the value of α can be a positive number less than or equal to 1. More specifically, the value of α can be determined as follows.
[0328] Alt a. α may be equal to the ratio of the number of PRBs actually used for TBoMS transmission on SBFD resources to the number of PRBs allocated for TBoMS transmission. Alternatively, α may be equal to the ratio of the number of PRBs used for TBoMS transmission on an SBFD symbol to the number of PRBs used for TBoMS transmission on a non-SBFD symbol. That is, α may be equal to n'PRB / nPRB. Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, p. 65 / 187 60 / 84
[0329] Alt b. α can be a value configured by the UE over the network. This value can be set via RRC, MAC-CE, DCI signaling, etc.
[0330] Method 2. The EU can determine the size of the PUSCH TB based on the number of PRBs used for the first TBoMS transmission.
[0331] To determine the TB size of the TBoMS transmission, the UE can determine the Nre value as follows. [Equation 5] Nre = Ni min( 156,Nre) · nppp + N2 ' min( 156,Nre) nppp α
[0332] In Equation 5, the value of α can be a positive number less than or equal to 1. More specifically, the value of α can be determined as follows.
[0333] Alt a. α may be equal to the ratio of the number of PRBs actually used for TBoMS transmission on SBFD resources to the number of PRBs allocated for TBoMS transmission. Alternatively, α may be equal to the ratio of the number of PRBs used for TBoMS transmission on an SBFD symbol to the number of PRBs used for TBoMS transmission on a non-SBFD symbol. That is, α may be equal to n'PRB / nPRB.
[0334] Alt b. α can be a value configured for UE by the network. This value can be set via RRC signaling, MAC-CE, DCI, etc.
[0335] The value of N2 in Equation 5 can be determined by one of the following methods. i) The value of N2 may represent the number of slots in which the symbols that make up the TBoMS transmission include at least one SBFD symbol among the N TBoMS transmission slots. Alternatively, it may represent the number of slots in which all the symbols that constitute the TBoMS transmission are composed of SBFD symbols among the N TBoMS transmission slots. ii) The value of N2 may represent the number of slots in which the TBoMS is Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, p. 66 / 187 61 / 84 transmitted using fewer PRBs than the allocated number of PRBs, npRB, among the N transmission slots of TBoMS. iii) Among the N TBoMS transmission slots, this means the number of slots in which TBoMS is transmitted using n'prb PRBs. iv) It could mean N - Ni.
[0336] In Equation 5, the value of Ni can be determined by one of the following methods. i) The value of Ni means the number of slots in which the symbols that constitute the TBoMS transmission include at least one non-SBFD symbol among the N TBoMS transmission slots. Or it means the number of slots in which all the symbols that constitute the TBoMS transmission are non-SBFD symbols among the N TBoMS transmission slots. ii) The value of Ni represents the number of slots in which TBoMS is transmitted using all nPRBs allocated among the N TBoMS transmission slots. iii) The value of Ni signifies the number of slots in which TBoMS is transmitted using nPRBs (n-PRBs) between the N TBoMS transmission slots. iv) It could mean K - K2.
[0337] At this time, the slots for determining the Ni and N2 above can be determined based on the N slots that constitute the first repetition of the TBoMS when the TBoMS is transmitted repeatedly.
[0338] Method 3. The EU can determine the size of the PUSCH TB based on the average number of PRBs used for the K repeated TBoMS transmissions.
[0339] To determine the TB size of the TBoMS transmission, the UE determines the Nre value as follows. [Equation 6] Nre =—· min( 156,Nr£) · nPRB+ -2· min( 156,nRe) · nPRB· α Λ Λ Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, p. 67 / 187 62 / 84
[0340] In Equation 6, the value of α can be a positive number less than or equal to 1. More specifically, the value of α can be determined as follows.
[0341] Alt a. α may be equal to the ratio of the number of PRBs actually used for TBoMS transmission on SBFD resources to the number of PRBs allocated for TBoMS transmission. Alternatively, α may be equal to the ratio of the number of PRBs used for TBoMS transmission on an SBFD symbol to the number of PRBs used for TBoMS transmission on a non-SBFD symbol. That is, α may be equal to n'PRB / nPRB.
[0342] Alt b. α can be a value configured for UE by the network. This value can be set via RRC signaling, MAC-CE, DCI, etc.
[0343] The value of K may signify the number of repetitions applied to the TBoMS transmission.
[0344] The value of M2 can be determined by one of the following methods: i) The value of M2 may signify the number of slots in which the symbols constituting the TBoMS transmission include at least one SBFD symbol among the N*K TBoMS transmission slots, when TBoMS is transmitted repeatedly K times (including K=1). Alternatively, it may signify the number of slots in which all symbols constituting the TBoMS transmission are composed of SBFD symbols among the N*K TBoMS transmission slots. ii) The value of M2 may represent the number of slots in which TBoMS is transmitted using PRBs lower than the number of nPRBs allocated, out of the N*K transmission slots of TBoMS. iii) The value of M2 may signify the number of slots in which TBoMS is transmitted using n'PRB PRBs between the N*K TBoMS transmission slots. iv) The value of M2 can be equal to N*K - M1.
[0345] In Equation 6, the value of Mi can be obtained by one of the following Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, p. 68 / 187 63 / 84 methods. i) The value of Mi may signify the number of slots in which the symbols constituting the TBoMS transmission include at least one non-SBFD symbol among the N*K TBoMS transmission slots, when TBoMS is transmitted repeatedly K times (including K=1). Alternatively, it may signify the number of slots in which all symbols constituting the TBoMS transmission are non-SBFD symbols among the N * K TBoMS transmission slots. ii) The value of Mi may represent the number of slots transmitted using all allocated npRB PRBs, out of the N*K transmission slots of TBoMS. iii) The value of Mi may signify the number of slots in which TBoMS is transmitted using npRB PRBs between the N*K TBoMS transmission slots. iv) The value of Mi can be equal to N*K - M2.
[0346] In addition, this method can be applied in the following conditions / situations:
[0347] Condition 1. In SBFD cells, the UE always applies the TB size determination method mentioned above.
[0348] When performing the SBFD operation, the UE always applies this method. This means that even if the actual TBoMS is transmitted using only non-SBFD symbols, when the cell performs the SBFD operation, the UE determines the Nre value by applying the method according to this disclosure. At this time, for example, if the UE is configured with information about symbol resources that operate semi-statically in SBFD or symbol resources that can operate in SBFD for a specific network cell, the UE can determine that the cell performs the SBFD operation. And / or if the UE is configured with information about UL sub-band (and / or DL sub-band) for a specific network cell, the UE can determine that the cell performs an SBFD operation.
[0349] Condition 2. If the symbol that makes up the first slot of the first Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, p. 69 / 187 64 / 84 TBoMS transmission includes an SBFD symbol; the TB size determination method described above will be applied.
[0350] When TBoMS is transmitted repeatedly K times (including K=1), for the first slot among the N slots that constitute the first TBoMS transmission, if the TBoMS transmission symbols include at least one SBFD symbol, the UE will determine the value of Nre for the TBoMS transmission by applying the method according to this disclosure. Otherwise, the UE determines the value of Nre by applying the legacy method.
[0351] Alternatively, when TBoMS is transmitted repeatedly K times (including K=1), for the first slot among the N slots that constitute the first TBoMS transmission, if all the TBoMS transmission symbols are composed of SBFD symbols, the UE will determine the value of Nre for the TBoMS transmission by applying the method according to this disclosure. Otherwise, the UE determines the value of Nre by applying the legacy method.
[0352] Or, when the TBoMS is transmitted repeatedly K times (including K=1), to the first slot among the N slots that constitute the first TBoMS transmission, if the TBoMS transmission is performed using n'PRB ( <nprb) prbs, o ue determinará valor de nre para a transmissão tboms aplicando método acordo com presente divulgação. caso contrário, determina legado.
[0353] Condition 3. If the symbols that make up the first TBoMS transmission include an SBFD symbol, the TB size determination method above will be applied.
[0354] When the TBoMS is transmitted repeatedly K times (including K=1), if the symbols used to transmit the TBoMS within the N slots that constitute the first TBoMS transmission include at least one SBFD symbol, the UE will determine the value of Nre for the TBoMS transmission by applying the corresponding method. Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, p. 70 / 187 65 / 84 with this disclosure. Otherwise, the EU determines the value of Nre by applying the legacy method.
[0355] Alternatively, when TBoMS is transmitted repeatedly K times (including K=1), if, among the N slots that constitute the first TBoMS transmission, all symbols used for the TBoMS transmission for at least one slot are composed of SBFD symbols, the UE will determine the value of Nre for the TBoMS transmission by applying the method according to this disclosure. Otherwise, the UE determines the value of Nre by applying the legacy method.
[0356] Or, when TBoMS is transmitted repeatedly K times (including K=1), if, for the N slots that constitute the first TBoMS transmission, the TBoMS transmission is performed using n'PRB ( <nprb) prbs em pelo menos um slot, o ue determinará valor de nre para a transmissão tboms aplicando método acordo com presente divulgação. caso contrário, determina legado.
[0357] Condition 4. If the symbols that make up the K repeated TBoMS transmissions include an SBFD symbol, the TB size determination method above will be applied.
[0358] When TBoMS is transmitted repeatedly K times (including K=1), if the symbols used to transmit TBoMS within the N*K slots that constitute the TBoMS transmission include at least one SBFD symbol, the UE will determine the Nre value for the TBoMS transmission by applying the method in accordance with this disclosure. Otherwise, the UE determines the Nre value by applying the legacy method.
[0359] Or, when the TBoMS is transmitted repeatedly K times (including K=1), if, among the N*K slots that constitute the TBoMS transmission, all symbols used for the TBoMS transmission for at least one slot are composed of SBFD symbols, the UE will determine the value of Nre for the transmission of Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, p. 71 / 187 66 / 84 TBoMS applies the method according to this disclosure. Otherwise, the UE determines the Nre value by applying the legacy method.
[0360] Or, when TBoMS is transmitted repeatedly K times (including K=1), if, for the N*K slots that make up the TBoMS transmission, the TBoMS transmission is transmitted using n'PRB ( <nprb) prbs em pelo menos um slot, o ue determinará valor de nre para a transmissão tboms aplicando método acordo com presente divulgação. caso contrário, determina legado.
[0361] Condition 5. The above TB size determination method applies in accordance with network guidelines.
[0362] If the UE receives explicit signaling from the network to reduce / adjust the TB size, the UE will determine the Nre value for TBoMS transmission using the method in accordance with this disclosure. Otherwise, the UE determines the Nre value using the legacy method. This signaling may be indicated by means of RRC and / or DCI signaling.
[0363] In the event that the above indication is provided by means of an RRC message, if the UE is instructed to reduce / adjust the TB size by means of the above indication, the UE may always apply the method in accordance with this disclosure. Alternatively, if such indication is received and, in addition, satisfies conditions 1, 2 or 3, the UE may apply the method in accordance with this disclosure.
[0364] In the event that the above indication is given via DCI, if the reduction / adjustment of the TB size is given via the indicated DCI, the UE may apply the method in accordance with this disclosure to the scaled TBoMS via the indicated DCI. Alternatively, if such indication is received and the scaled TBoMS via the DCI additionally satisfies condition 1, 2 or 3, the UE may apply the method in accordance with this disclosure to the TBoMS. Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, p. 72 / 187 67 / 84
[0365] Condition 6. If the UE is configured with the network α value, the above TB size determination method is applied.
[0366] If the UE is configured with a network α value, the UE will determine the Nre value for TBoMS transmission using the method in accordance with this disclosure. Otherwise, the UE determines the Nre value using the legacy method. Alternatively, upon receiving such indications, the UE may apply the method in accordance with this disclosure if conditions 1, 2, or 3 are additionally met.
[0367] Condition 7. The above TB size determination method is applied according to the symbol type indication (SBFD symbol / non-SBFD symbol) transmitted by the TBoMS.
[0368] A UE can be designated by the network through TBoMS scheduling via DCI, considering the symbol type (SBFD symbol / non-SBFD symbol) of symbol resources to perform the corresponding PUSCH transmission. In this way, the UE can be designated whether the TBoMS transmission should be performed assuming SBFD symbols or non-SBFD symbols. If the UE is designated to perform the TBoMS transmission assuming SBFD symbols, the UE will determine the Nre value for the TBoMS transmission by applying the method according to this disclosure. Otherwise, the UE determines the Nre value by applying the legacy method.
[0369] Above, the SBFD / non-SBFD symbol can have the following meanings: i) The SBFD symbol can mean a symbol that is determined to operate in SBFD based on the semi-static signaling received by the UE from the network. Furthermore, a non-SBFD symbol can mean a symbol that determines that a cell is operating in non-SBFD based on the semi-static signaling received by the UE from the network. This assumption can be applied to conditions 1 to 5 above. ii) Alternatively, an SBFD symbol may mean a symbol determined by the EU to be operating as an SBFD based on semi-passive signaling. Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 73 / 187 68 / 84 and dynamic signaling received from the network, or a symbol determined as performing UL operations through resources within the UL sub-band. A non-SBFD symbol may mean a symbol where the UE determines that it is operating in non-SBFD based on static and dynamic signaling received from the network, or a symbol where the UE determines that UL operation is being performed not only on resources within the UL sub-band, but also on resources outside the UL sub-band.
[0370] When a cell performs the SBFD operation, the UE can determine the TB size of the PUSCH / TBoMS for PUSCH / TBoMS transmission as described above. This allows the PUSCH to be transmitted by applying an appropriate TB size according to the number of PRBs in which the PUSCH / TBoMS is effectively transmitted.

[0381] FIG. 23 shows an example of a signal processing module structure. In this case, signal processing can be performed in Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 80 / 187 75 / 84 processors 102 and 202 of FIG. 22.
[0382] Referring to FIG. 23, the transmission device (for example, a processor, the processor and a memory, or the processor and a transceiver) in a UE or BS may include a scrambler 301, a modulator 302, a layer mapper 303, an antenna port mapper 304, a feature block mapper 305, and a signal generator 306.
[0383] The transmission device can transmit one or more codewords. The bits encoded in each codeword are scrambled by the corresponding 301 scrambler and transmitted over a physical channel. A codeword can be referred to as a data string and can be equivalent to a transport block, which is a data block provided by the MAC layer.
[0384] The scrambled bits are modulated into complex-valued modulation symbols by the corresponding modulator 302. The modulator 302 can modulate the scrambled bits according to a modulation scheme to arrange complex-valued modulation symbols representing positions in a signal constellation. The modulation scheme is not limited, and m-PSK (M-ary Phase Shift Modulation) or m-QAM (M-ary Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) can be used to modulate the encoded data. The modulator can be referred to as a modulation mapper.
[0385] Complex value modulation symbols can be mapped to one or more transport layers by layer mapper 303. Complex value modulation symbols in each layer can be mapped by antenna port mapper 304 for transmission on an antenna port.
[0386] Each 305 resource block mapper can map complex-valued modulation symbols relative to each antenna port to appropriate resource elements in a virtual resource block allocated for transmission. The resource block mapper can map the virtual resource block to a block Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 81 / 187 76 / 84 of physical resource according to an appropriate mapping scheme. The 305 resource block mapper can allocate complex value modulation symbols relative to each antenna port to appropriate subcarriers and multiplex the complex value modulation symbols according to a user.
[0387] The 306 signal generator can modulate complex-valued modulation symbols with respect to each antenna port, i.e., antenna-specific symbols, according to a specific modulation scheme, for example, OFDM (Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing), to generate a complex-valued OFDM symbol signal in the time domain. The signal generator can perform IFFT (Inverse Fast Fourier Transform) on the antenna-specific symbols, and a CP (Cyclic Prefix) can be inserted into the time domain symbols on which the IFFT was performed. The OFDM symbols undergo digital-to-analog conversion and frequency upconversion and are then transmitted to the receiving device via each transmitting antenna. The signal generator may include an IFFT module, a CP insertion unit, a digital-to-analog converter (DAC), and a frequency upconverter.
[0388] FIG. 24 shows another example of a signal processing module structure in a transmission device. In this case, signal processing can be performed in a UE / BS processor, such as processors 102 and 202 in FIG. 22.
[0389] Referring to FIG. 24, the transmission device (for example, a processor, the processor and a memory, or the processor and a transceiver) in the UE or BS may include a scrambler 401, a modulator 402, a layer mapper 403, a pre-encoder 404, a feature block mapper 405 and a signal generator 406.
[0390] The transmission device can scramble encoded bits into a codeword using the corresponding 401 scrambler and then transmit the Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, p. 82 / 187 77 / 84 bits encoded and scrambled through a physical channel.
[0391] The scrambled bits are modulated into complex-valued modulation symbols by the corresponding modulator 402. The modulator can modulate the scrambled bits according to a predetermined modulation scheme to arrange complex-valued modulation symbols representing positions in a signal constellation. The modulation scheme is not limited and pi / 2-BPSK (pi / 2 Binary Phase Shift Modulation), m-PSK (M-ary Phase Shift Modulation) or m-QAM (M-ary Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) can be used to modulate the encoded data.
[0392] Complex value modulation symbols can be mapped to one or more transport layers by the layer mapper 403.
[0393] Complex-value modulation symbols in each layer can be pre-coded by the 404 pre-encoder for transmission on an antenna port. Here, the pre-encoder can perform pre-encoding by transformation on the complex-value modulation symbols and then perform pre-encoding. Alternatively, the pre-encoder can perform pre-encoding without performing pre-encoding by transformation. The 404 pre-encoder can process the complex-value modulation symbols according to MIMO, using multiple transmit antennas to generate antenna-specific symbols and distribute these antenna-specific symbols to the corresponding feature block mapper 405. An output z of the 404 pre-encoder can be obtained by multiplying an output y of the 403 layer mapper by a pre-encoding matrix W of N x M. In this case, N is the number of antenna ports and M is the number of layers.
[0394] Each 405 resource block mapper maps complex-valued modulation symbols relative to each antenna port to appropriate resource elements in a virtual resource block allocated for transmission.
[0395] The 405 resource block mapper can allocate symbols of Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 83 / 187 78 / 84 complex value modulation to appropriate subcarriers and multiplexing the complex value modulation symbols according to a user.
[0396] The 406 signal generator can modulate complex-valued modulation symbols according to a specific modulation scheme, for example, OFDM, to generate a complex-valued OFDM symbol signal in the time domain. The 406 signal generator can perform IFFT (Inverse Fast Fourier Transform) on specific antenna symbols, and a CP (Cyclic Prefix) can be inserted into the time domain symbols on which the IFFT was performed. The OFDM symbols undergo digital-to-analog conversion and frequency upconversion, and are then transmitted to the receiving device via each transmitting antenna. The 406 signal generator may include an IFFT module, a CP insertion unit, a digital-to-analog converter (DAC), and a frequency upconverter.
[0397] The signal processing procedure of the receiving device may be the inverse of the signal processing procedure of the transmitting device. Specifically, the processor of the transmitting device decodes and demodulates the RF signals received through the antenna ports of the transceiver. The receiving device may include a plurality of receiving antennas, and the signals received through the receiving antennas are restored to baseband signals and then multiplexed and demodulated according to MIMO to be restored to a data sequence intended to be transmitted by the transmitting device. The receiving device may include a signal restoration unit that restores the received signals to baseband signals, a multiplexer to combine and multiplex the received signals, and a channel demodulator to demodulate strings of multiplexed signals into corresponding codewords. The signal restoration unit, multiplexer, and channel demodulator can be configured as an integrated module or as independent modules to operate. Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 84 / 187 79 / 84 its functions. More specifically, the signal restoration unit may include an analog-to-digital converter (ADC) to convert an analog signal into a digital signal, a CP removal unit that removes a CP from the digital signal, a FET module to apply FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) to the signal from which the CP was removed to generate symbols in the frequency domain, and a feature element demapper / equalizer to restore the symbols in the frequency domain to antenna-specific symbols. The antenna-specific symbols are restored in the transport layers by the multiplexer, and the transport layers are restored by the channel demodulator to codewords intended to be transmitted by the transmitting device.

[0409] FIG. 27 illustrates a communication system 1 applied to this document.
[0410] Referring to FIG. 27, a communication system 1 applied to this document includes wireless devices, Base Stations (BSs) and a network. In this context, wireless devices represent devices that perform communication using Radio Access Technology (RAT) (e.g., 5G New RAT (NR)) or Long Term Evolution (LTE)) and may be referred to as communication / radio / 5G devices. Wireless devices may include, without limitation, a robot 100a, vehicles 100b-1 and 100b-2, an Extended Reality (XR) device 100c, a wearable device 100d, a household appliance 100e, an Internet of Things (IoT) device 100f, and an Artificial Intelligence (AI) device / server 400. For example, vehicles may include a vehicle with wireless communication capability, an autonomous vehicle, and a vehicle capable of vehicle-to-vehicle communication. In this context, vehicles may include an Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) (e.g., a drone). The XR device may include an Augmented Reality (AR) / Virtual Reality (VR) / Mixed Reality (MR) device and may be implemented. Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 87 / 187 82 / 84 in the form of a Head-Mounted Device (HMD), a vehicle-mounted Head-Up Display (HUD), a television, a smartphone, a computer, a wearable device, a home appliance, a digital signage device, a vehicle, a robot, etc. The wearable device may include a smartphone, a smartpad, a wearable device (e.g., a smartwatch or smartglasses), and a computer (e.g., a notebook). The home appliance may include a TV, a refrigerator, and a washing machine. The IoT device may include a sensor and a smart meter. For example, BSs and the network may be implemented as wireless devices, and a specific wireless device 200a may operate as a BS / network node in relation to other wireless devices.
[0411] Wireless devices 100a to 100f can be connected to network 300 via BSs 200. An AI technology can be applied to wireless devices 100a to 100f, and wireless devices 100a to 100f can be connected to AI server 400 via network 300. Network 300 can be configured using a 3G network, a 4G network (e.g., LTE), or a 5G network (e.g., NR). Although wireless devices 100a to 100f can communicate with each other via BSs 200 / network 300, wireless devices 100a to 100f can perform direct communication (e.g., sidelink communication) with each other without going through the BSs / network. For example, vehicles 100b-1 and 100b-2 can perform direct communication (e.g., Vehicle-to-Vehicle (V2V) / Vehicle-to-Everything (V2X) communication). Additionally, an IoT device (e.g., a sensor) can perform direct communication with other IoT devices (e.g., sensors) or other wireless devices 100a to 100f.

Here, wireless communication / connections can be established via various RATs (e.g., 5G NR) as uplink / downlink 150a communication, sidelink 150b communication (or, D2D communication), or communication between BS (e.g., relay, Access). Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, pp. 88 / 187 83 / 84 Integrated and Backhaul (IAB). Wireless devices and BSs / wireless devices can transmit / receive radio signals from each other via wireless communications / connections 150a and 150b. For example, wireless connections / communications 150a and 150b can transmit / receive signals via various physical channels. To this end, at least some of the various configuration information setup processes, various signal processing processes (e.g., channel encoding / decoding, modulation / demodulation, and resource mapping / unmapping), and resource allocation processes, for radio signal transmission / reception, can be performed based on the various proposals of this disclosure.
[0413] Meanwhile, NR supports multiple numerologies (or subcarrier spacing (SCS)) to support various 5G services. For example, if the SCS is 15kHz, a wide range of conventional cellular bands can be supported. If the SCS is 30kHz / 60kHz, a densely urban carrier bandwidth with lower latency and higher bandwidth will be supported. If the SCS is 60kHz or higher, a bandwidth greater than 24.25 GHz will be used to overcome phase noise.
[0414] An NR frequency band can be defined as a frequency range of two types (FR1, FR2). The frequency range values can be changed. For example, the frequency range of the two types (FR1, FR2) can be as shown below in Table 7. For ease of explanation, among the frequency ranges used in an NR system, FR1 can mean a "range below 6 GHz" and FR2 can mean a "range above 6 GHz" and can also be called millimeter wave (mmW). TABLE 7 Frequency Band Designation | Corresponding Frequency Band | Subcarrier Spacing (SCS) | FR1 | 450MHz to 6000MHz | 15, 30, 60kHz | FR2 | 24250MHz to 52600MHz | 60, 120, 240kHz Petition 870260083309, dated 08 / 17 / 2026, page 89 / 187 84 / 84
[0415] As described above, the frequency band values in the NR system can be changed. For example, as shown in Table 8 below, FR1 may include a band in the range of 410 MHz to 7125 MHz. That is, FR1 may include a frequency band of at least 6 GHz (or 5850, 5900, 5925 MHz, and so on). For example, a frequency band of at least 6 GHz (or 5850, 5900, 5925 MHz, and so on) included in FR1 may contain an unlicensed band. The unlicensed band may be used for various purposes, for example, the unlicensed band for specific vehicle communication (e.g., autonomous driving). TABLE 8 Frequency Band Designation | Corresponding Frequency Band | Subcarrier Spacing (SCS) | FR1 | 410MHz to 7125MHz | 15, 30, 60kHz | FR2 | 24250MHz to 52600MHz | 60, 120, 240kHz
