Description
"CABIN TILT ARRANGEMENT AND VEHICLE MOUNTING" TECHNICAL FIELD
[001] The invention relates to a cabin tilting device. The invention further relates to a vehicle and an assembly comprising a vehicle and a cabin tilting arrangement. FUNDAMENTALS
[002] A heavy-duty vehicle consists of a chassis and a cab that is articulated to the chassis. The term cab can refer to a cabin in which, for example, a driver's seat is provided for the driver of the heavy-duty vehicle. However, the term cab can be interpreted in a broader sense, encompassing different container structures at the front of a vehicle.
[003] To reach various components and the chassis under the cab, it needs to be tilted in a rotational motion. A lifting device, such as a hydraulic cylinder, mounted between the frame and the cab of the heavy-duty vehicle is commonly used to tilt the cab.
[004] A removable lifting device has been suggested for covering the cab of a heavy-duty vehicle. That is, document DE 102018133430 discloses a lifting device for a tilting cab of a utility vehicle, wherein the lifting device is configured for at least partial tilting of the cab. The lifting device can be manually removed from the vehicle and is also configured to lift the vehicle, for example, for a tire change. SUMMARY
[005] It would be advantageous to provide an alternative removable arrangement for tilting the cab of a vehicle. In particular, it would be desirable to provide leverage in a removable cab tilting arrangement. To better address one or more of these concerns, one or more of a cab tilting arrangement are provided, Petition 870250093969, dated 10 / 14 / 2025, page 7 / 32 2 / 17 a vehicle and an assembly with the characteristics defined in one or more of the independent claims.
[006] According to one aspect of the invention, a cab tilting arrangement is provided for tilting the cab of a vehicle, the cab tilting arrangement comprising a support structure and an elongated actuator. The support structure comprises a first connecting portion configured to be connected to a first connecting part of the vehicle on a vehicle chassis and a second connecting portion configured to be connected to a second connecting part of the vehicle on the vehicle chassis. A first end portion of the elongated actuator is pivotally connected to the support structure at a pivot joint and a second end portion of the elongated actuator comprises a third connecting portion configured to be connected to a third connecting part of the vehicle on the vehicle cab. Viewed in a two-dimensional plane, the first connecting portion, the second connecting portion and the pivot joint are each arranged at a corner of a triangle.
[007] As the support structure comprises the first connecting portion configured to be connected to the first connecting portion of the vehicle on the vehicle chassis and the second connecting portion configured to be connected to the second connecting portion of the vehicle on the vehicle chassis, and the first end portion of the elongated actuator is pivotally connected to the support structure at the pivot joint and the second end portion of the elongated actuator comprises a third connecting portion configured to be connected to the third connecting portion of the vehicle in the vehicle cab, the cab tilt arrangement allows the support structure to be connected to the chassis of a relevant vehicle and the elongated actuator to be connected to the vehicle cab. Furthermore, viewed in the two-dimensional plane, the first connecting portion, the second connecting portion, and the pivot joint are each arranged at a corner of a triangle – the pivot joint will be positioned Petition 870250093969, dated 10 / 14 / 2025, page 8 / 32 3 / 17 at a distance from the vehicle chassis when the cab tilt arrangement is connected to the vehicle. Thus, the cab tilt arrangement is configured to provide leverage for the elongated actuator to drive the cab tilt.
[008] The vehicle's cabin is normally a cabin in which the vehicle's driver is positioned, such as when seated, while driving the vehicle. The cabin may consist of one or more seats for the driver and co-drivers or passengers. Optionally, and depending on the type of vehicle, the cabin may consist of one or more items: bunk bed, table, storage space, etc.
[009] In a broader sense, the cabin can be any container structure on the front of a vehicle, the container structure being configured to house vehicle components. Thus, a further example of a cabin could be a container structure on the front of an autonomous vehicle, where the container structure houses one or more electronic components, sensors, batteries, etc.
[010] To allow access under the cab, the vehicle cab is tiltable. For example, access can be provided to parts of the vehicle chassis and / or parts of the vehicle powertrain when the cab is tilted.
[011] When necessary, the cab tilt device can be connected to the vehicle to tilt the cab. When there is no need to tilt the cab, the cab tilt device is disconnected from the vehicle.
[012] Consequently, the cab tilt arrangement can be configured to be temporarily attached to the vehicle to tilt the vehicle cab. The cab tilt arrangement can be configured to be removable from the vehicle.
[013] Each of the first, second, and third connecting portions may comprise at least one releasable fastening device, and the releasable fastening devices may be configured for releasable assembly in the respective first, second, and third connecting portions of the vehicle. Thus, it may be provided that Petition 870250093969, dated 10 / 14 / 2025, page 9 / 32 4 / 17 Temporary connection of the cabin tilt device to the vehicle.
[014] Properly, after use, the cabin tilt device is disconnected from the vehicle before driving it.
[015] The cab tilt device can be carried on board the vehicle when disconnected from the vehicle. The cab tilt device can only be connected to the vehicle when the cab is tilted.
[016] However, since cab tilting is generally only performed when a specific job needs to be done on a vehicle, a cab tilting arrangement of the type discussed here does not need to be installed on all vehicles. Instead, a cab tilting arrangement can be used to tilt cabs of multiple vehicles. The cab tilting arrangement can be provided at one or more vehicle service providers, a garage of an owner of one or more vehicles with tilting cabs, and aboard a service vehicle that service personnel use to attend to vehicles needing assistance along the road.
[017] There are several advantages associated with the fact that the vehicle does not have an integrated cab tilt arrangement, but rather has been designed to tilt its cab using the existing cab tilt arrangement, to name a few: - No disturbances such as noise and / or vibration due to tilting during vehicle use. - Reduced vehicle weight, therefore allowing for increased payload and revenue for the vehicle owner. Fewer parts in the vehicle, and therefore fewer parts to assemble, reduces the cost of manufacturing the vehicle, both in terms of materials and labor. Furthermore, fewer components require fewer natural resources to build the vehicle. Petition 870250093969, dated 10 / 14 / 2025, page 10 / 32 5 / 17
[018] The support structure of the cab tilting arrangement provides support for the elongated actuator so that the elongated actuator can be used to tilt the vehicle cab.
[019] The first and second connecting portions and the articulation joint can be arranged in the two-dimensional plane. Alternatively, the first and second connecting portions and the articulation joint can be displaced relative to each other in a third dimension, perpendicular to the two-dimensional plane. In both cases, as mentioned above, viewed in the two-dimensional plane, the first and second connecting portions and the articulation joint form a triangle.
[020] The cab tilting device can be disassembled. For example, the support structure as such may comprise more than one part, parts which can be assembled and disassembled to facilitate the connection of the support structure to the vehicle. Similarly, the elongated actuator can be connected and disconnected from the support structure to facilitate the connection of the elongated actuator to the vehicle.
[021] The support structure may comprise beams, as rigid elongated elements, as force-bearing parts. The connections of these beams to each other and to the relevant vehicle form nodes. Together, the beams and nodes form a truss through which a combination of compression and tension loads transfers the load, caused by the elongated actuator tilting the cab, to the vehicle chassis.
[022] Since no connection to the ground or any other structure besides the vehicle is required for the cab tilt arrangement, tilting is possible anywhere, regardless of where the vehicle is located, whether in a workshop or along the road.
[023] A vehicle, whose cab must be tilted, is designed for use with the cab tilting arrangement. That is, the vehicle comprises the first, second and third connecting parts of the vehicle, such that the first and second connecting portions of the support structure and the third connecting portion of the actuator. Petition 870250093969, dated 10 / 14 / 2025, page 11 / 32 6 / 17 elongated parts can be connected to the vehicle's connection points.
[024] The first, second and third vehicle connection pieces may be dedicated to connecting the cab tilt arrangement. Alternatively, one or more of the first, second and third vehicle connection pieces may have additional functions during vehicle use, assembly and / or maintenance.
[025] Depending on the type, the elongated actuator can be a hydraulic actuator, a pneumatic actuator, or an electric actuator. Thus, an elongated actuator can be supplied that is hydraulically, pneumatically, or electrically driven.
[026] According to a further aspect of the invention, a vehicle is provided comprising a tilting cab, the vehicle being configured for cab tilting using a cab tilting arrangement according to any of the aspects and / or embodiments discussed herein. The vehicle further comprises a chassis and the cab connected to the chassis to be tilted relative to the chassis. The chassis comprises the first and second connecting parts of the vehicle, the second connecting part of the vehicle being disposed above the first connecting part of the vehicle when the vehicle is in a normal operating position. The cab comprises the third connecting part of the vehicle.
[027] As the vehicle chassis comprises the first and second vehicle connecting pieces, the second vehicle connecting piece being disposed above the first vehicle connecting piece, and the vehicle cab comprises the third vehicle connecting piece, the vehicle is configured to connect a cab tilt arrangement according to any of the aspects and / or embodiments discussed herein to the vehicle. Thus, the vehicle cab tilt can be actuated with the lever provided by the support structure and the elongated actuator of the cab tilt arrangement.
[028] The normal operating position of the vehicle is that in which the vehicle Petition 870250093969, dated 10 / 14 / 2025, page 12 / 32 7 / 17 is on wheels, with the cab in the same position as when the vehicle is being driven, for example, by a driver sitting in the cab.
[029] According to the embodiments, the first and second vehicle connection pieces may be arranged in a front portion of the chassis and the third vehicle connection piece may be arranged in a front portion of the cab. In this way, the cab tilting arrangement may be connected to a front end of the vehicle and the cab may be tilted forward relative to the vehicle.
[030] According to a further aspect of the invention, an assembly is provided comprising a vehicle according to any of the aspects and / or embodiments discussed herein and a cabin tilting arrangement according to any of the aspects and / or embodiments discussed herein.
[031] As the assembly comprises a vehicle according to any of the aspects and / or embodiments discussed herein and a cab tilting arrangement according to any of the aspects and / or embodiments discussed herein, the cab tilting of the vehicle can be actuated with the lever provided by the support structure and the elongated actuator of the cab tilting arrangement.
[032] For example, the assembly may be supplied in connection with a vehicle which requires its cab to be tilted. This may be the case when vehicle maintenance or repairs have to be carried out, for example, in a garage or by the roadside.
[033] Other features and advantages of the present invention will become apparent upon studying the appended claims and the detailed description that follows. BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
[034] Several aspects and / or embodiments of the invention, including its particular characteristics and advantages, will be easily understood from the exemplary embodiments discussed in the detailed description and in the attached figures below, in which: Petition 870250093969, dated 10 / 14 / 2025, p. 13 / 32 8 / 17

[038] Figs. 4a - 4c illustrate embodiments of an assembly, a vehicle and a cabin tilt arrangement. DETAILED DESCRIPTION
[039] Aspects and / or embodiments of the invention will now be described in more detail. Similar numbers refer to similar elements throughout the document. Well-known functions or constructions will not necessarily be described in detail for the sake of brevity and / or clarity.
[040] Fig. 1 schematically illustrates the embodiments of an assembly 2 comprising a vehicle 4 and a cabin tilting arrangement 6.
[041] Vehicle 4 is a vehicle 4 according to any of the aspects and / or embodiments discussed herein and the cab tilt arrangement 6 is a cab tilt arrangement 6 according to any of the aspects and / or embodiments discussed herein.
[042] Vehicle 4 can be any type of vehicle configured for land propulsion, comprising a cab 8 that can be tilted. In Fig. 1, vehicle 4 is illustrated as a heavy cargo vehicle in the form of a truck.
[043] The cab tilting arrangement 6 is configured to be temporarily connected to vehicle 6 when cab 8 of vehicle 4 needs to be tilted.
[044] Thus, assembly 2 is provided in connection with the tilting of cab 8. After the tilting of cab 8 has been carried out and cab 8 is in its normal operating position for use by vehicle 4, the cab tilting arrangement 6 is disconnected from vehicle 4. After that, vehicle 4 is ready for use or Petition 870250093969, dated 10 / 14 / 2025, page 14 / 32 9 / 17 additional maintenance that does not require tilting the cab 8.
[045] Once disconnected from vehicle 4, the cab tilting arrangement 6 can be provided as a backup for a subsequent tilting of cab 8 of the present vehicle 4 or of a cab of a different vehicle.
[046] Figs. 2a and 2b illustrate embodiments of an assembly 2 comprising a vehicle 4 and a cab tilt arrangement 6. Therefore, Figs. 2a and 2b also illustrate embodiments of the vehicle 4 and the cab tilt arrangement 6.
[047] Set 2 is very similar to the set in Fig. 1. Therefore, reference is also made to Fig. 1 in what follows.
[048] In Figs. 2a and 2b a portion of the structure of a cab 8 and a front portion of a chassis 10 of vehicle 4 are shown. Irrelevant vehicle components have been omitted to facilitate reading of the numbers.
[049] As already discussed, vehicle 4 comprises a tilting cab 8 and a chassis 10. The cab 8 is connected to the chassis 10 to be tilted relative to the chassis 10. Fig. 2a shows the cab 8 in its normal position. Fig. 2b shows the cab 8 in its tilted position, as tilted using the cab tilting arrangement 6 according to any of the aspects and / or embodiments discussed herein.
[050] Vehicle 4 is configured so that its cab 8 is tilted by the cab tilting arrangement 6. Vehicle 4 is configured in this way, among other things, because chassis 10 comprises a first and a second connecting part of vehicle 12, 14 and cab 8 comprises a third connecting part of vehicle 16.
[051] The second connecting part of vehicle 14 is positioned above the first connecting part of vehicle 12 when vehicle 4 is on a vertical surface, i.e., as shown in Figs. 2a and 2b.
[052] As discussed below with reference to Figs. 3a and 3b, first, Petition 870250093969, dated 10 / 14 / 2025, page 15 / 32 10 / 17 second and third connecting portions of the cab tilt arrangement 6 are configured to be releasable connected to the first, second and third connecting portions of the vehicle 12, 14, 16.
[053] The first and second connecting parts of vehicle 12, 14 are arranged in a front portion 18 of chassis 10. The third connecting part of vehicle 16 is arranged in a front portion 20 of cabin 8.
[054] The first, second and third connecting parts of the vehicle 12, 14, 16 can be dedicated to connecting the cab tilting arrangement 6 to them.
[055] Alternatively, one or more of the first, second and third vehicle connection parts 12, 14, 16 may have additional functions during the use, assembly and / or maintenance of the vehicle 4. For example, the first vehicle connection part 12 may form part of a vehicle towing connection and / or the third connection part 16 may form part of a cab lifting connection used, for example, during cab assembly 8 on chassis 10 during vehicle assembly 4.
[056] The cabin 8 is tiltable around a hinge axis 22 in the forward direction of the vehicle 4. In this way, the cabin tilting device 6 located at the front of the vehicle 4 can be used to tilt the cabin 8 in the forward direction of the vehicle 4, as shown in Fig. 2b.
[057] The articulation axis 22 may be stationary, that is, the articulation axis 22 remains in one position when the cabin 8 is tilted around the articulation axis 22. Alternatively, the articulation axis 22 may be movable, that is, the articulation axis 22 may be displaced parallel when the cabin 8 is tilted around the articulation axis 22. For example, this may be the case when the articulation axis 22 is provided by a linkage mechanism.
[058] Generally, with reference to Figs. 1 - 2b, the cab tilting arrangement 6, which is supplied separately from the vehicle 4, is mounted at the front of the vehicle. Petition 870250093969, dated 10 / 14 / 2025, page 16 / 32 11 / 17 when the cabin 8 must be tilted. The force support parts included in the cabin tilting arrangement 6 are mounted on the front of the chassis 10 and form a base, towards which an actuator pulls the cabin 8 to tilt it forward, and against which base the actuator can push to rotate the cabin 8 backward.
[059] Figs. 3a and 3b illustrate the tilting arrangement of cabin 6 of the modalities in Figs. 2a and 2b in more detail. Thus, reference is also made to Figs. 2a and 2b in what follows.
[060] Fig. 3a shows a side view of the tilting arrangement of cabin 6 and Fig. 3b shows a partial perspective view of the tilting arrangement of cabin 6.
[061] The tilting arrangement of the cabin 6 comprises a support structure 23 and an elongated actuator 24. The support structure 23 forms a base, to which the elongated actuator 24 is connected.
[062] The support structure 23 comprises a first connection portion 26 and a second connection portion 28. The first connection portion 26 is configured to be connected to the first connection portion of the vehicle 12 and the second connection portion 28 is configured to be connected to the second connection portion of the vehicle 14, see also, for example, Fig. 2a.
[063] According to some embodiments, such as the embodiments illustrated, the support structure 23 comprises a first elongated element 30 and a second elongated element 32. The first connecting portion 26 is disposed in a first end portion 34 of the first elongated element 30. The second connecting portion 28 is disposed in a first end portion 36 of the second elongated element 32. The first and second elongated elements 30, 32 are connected to each other in respective second end portions 38, 40. In this way, the support structure 23 can be provided as an uncomplicated structure for connection to the first and second connecting portions of the vehicle 12, Petition 870250093969, dated 10 / 14 / 2025, page 17 / 32 12 / 17 14, see also, for example, Fig. 2a.
[064] Consequently, the first elongated element 30 comprises a second end portion 38 and the second elongated element 32 comprises a second end portion 40.
[065] The first and second elongated elements 30, 32 can be connected directly to each other. Alternatively, the first and second elongated elements 30, 32 can be connected indirectly to each other.
[066] The first and second elongated elements 30, 32 may comprise beams made, for example, of steel or aluminum. The beams may have, for example, a round cross-section, a square cross-section, a U-shaped cross-section, a T-shaped cross-section or an L-shaped cross-section to provide first and second rigid and stiff elongated elements 30, 32.
[067] According to the modalities, the first elongated element 30 can have a length within a range of 0.3 to 1.0 m and the second elongated element 32 can have a length within a range of 0.3 to 1.0 m.
[068] According to alternative modalities, the first and second elongated elements 30, 32 may have lengths within different intervals.
[069] A first end portion 42 of the elongated actuator 24 is pivotally connected to the support structure 23 in a pivot joint 44. A second end portion 46 of the elongated actuator 24 comprises a third connection portion 48. The third connection portion 48 is configured to be connected to the third vehicle connection portion 16 in the vehicle cab 8, see also, for example, Fig. 2a.
[070] Viewed in a two-dimensional plane, as in the plane of Fig. 3a, the first connecting portion 26, the second connecting portion 28, and the articulation joint 44 are each located at a corner of a triangle. The triangle is indicated with Petition 870250093969, dated 10 / 14 / 2025, page 18 / 32 13 / 17 dashed and dotted lines in Figure 3a. The corners of the triangles shown here can also be called vertices.
[071] Thus, the support structure 23 provides support for the elongated actuator 24 so that, when mounted on the vehicle 4, the elongated actuator 24 can be used to tilt the cab 8 of the vehicle 4.
[072] The articulation joint 44 is arranged in the second end portions 38, 40 of the first and second elongated elements 30, 32.
[073] According to the modalities, at the corner of the triangle formed by the articulation joint 44, the triangle may have an internal angle a within a range of 30 to 90 degrees.
[074] According to some embodiments, the elongated actuator 24, in an elongated state, may have a length within a range of 0.7 to 2.0 m and in a contracted state may have a length within a range of 0.35 to 1.0 m.
[075] According to other embodiments, the elongated actuator 24 may have a length within different ranges in its elongated and / or contracted state.
[076] Thus, the elongated actuator 24, in its elongated state, as shown, for example, in Figs. 2a and 3a, can be mounted on the front part 20 of the cabin 8. In its contracted state, as shown, for example, in Fig. 2b, the elongated actuator 24 has a length that allows at least partial tilting of the cabin 8. Even the maximum tilting of the cabin 8 can be provided in the contracted state.
[077] The elongated actuator 24 can be a hydraulic actuator, such as a hydraulic cylinder, a pneumatic actuator, such as a pneumatic cylinder, or an electric actuator, such as an electric cylinder / linear actuator. In Fig. 3a, a control arrangement 50 for the elongated actuator 24 is shown schematically.
[078] Depending on the type of elongated actuator 24, the control arrangement 50 may comprise a hydraulic pump, a pneumatic pump or a power source. Petition 870250093969, dated 10 / 14 / 2025, page 19 / 32 14 / 17 electrical power supply and a control arrangement. Thus, service personnel can control the elongated actuator 24 to tilt the cabin 8 and to pivot it back to its normal position. Service personnel can operate the control arrangement to supply hydraulic, pneumatic or electrical power to extend and retract the elongated actuator 24.
[079] Each of the first, second and third connecting portions 26, 28, 48 comprises at least one releasable fastening device 52. As shown in the first and second connecting portions 26, 28 in Fig. 3b, such releasable fastening devices 52 are exemplified as threaded screws. Other releasable fastening devices may be used, such as releasable clamps.
[080] Each releasable fastening device is configured for releasable mounting on the first, second, and third connecting parts of vehicle 12, 14, 16 on vehicle 4. According to the embodiments illustrated in which the releasable fastening devices comprise threaded bolts, the first, second, and third connecting parts of vehicle 12, 14, 16 may comprise internally threaded holes (not shown).
[081] Figs. 4a - 4c illustrate embodiments of an assembly 2, of a vehicle 4 and of a cabin tilt arrangement 6.
[082] Set 2, vehicle 4 and cab tilt arrangement 6 of Figs. 4a - 4c are very similar to set 2, vehicle 4 and cab tilt arrangement 6 discussed above with reference to Figs. 1 - 3b. Thus, reference is also made to the above discussion of the embodiments of Figs. 1 - 3b. The differences between the embodiments will be discussed below.
[083] In Fig. 4a, cab 8 of vehicle 4 is positioned in its normal operating position. In Fig. 4b, cab 8 has been tilted. In Fig. 4c, the tilting arrangement of cab 6 is shown in a perspective view along with parts of chassis 10 of vehicle 4. Petition 870250093969, dated 10 / 14 / 2025, page 20 / 32 15 / 17
[084] Again, assembly 2 comprises vehicle 4 and cab tilt arrangement 6.
[085] Again, vehicle 4 comprises the first, second and third connecting parts of vehicles 12, 14, 16.
[086] Again, the tilting arrangement of the cabin 6 comprises a support structure 23 and an elongated actuator 24 with a third connecting portion 48. The support structure 23 comprises first and second elongated elements 30, 32 with first and second connecting portions 26, 28.
[087] According to these embodiments, the cab tilting arrangement 6 comprises an additional support structure 23' and an additional elongated actuator 24'. The additional support structure 23' comprises a fourth connecting portion 54 configured to be connected to a fourth connecting part of the vehicle 56 on chassis 10 of vehicle 4 and a fifth connecting portion 58 configured to be connected to a fifth connecting part of the vehicle 60 on chassis 10 of vehicle 4. A first end portion 62 of the elongated actuator 24' is pivotally connected to the additional support structure 23' at an additional articulation joint 44' and a second end portion 64 of the elongated actuator 24' comprises a sixth connecting portion 66 configured to be connected to a sixth connecting part of the vehicle 68 on cab 8 of vehicle 4.Viewed in an additional two-dimensional plane, the fourth connecting portion 54, the fifth connecting portion 58, and the additional pivot joint 44' are each located at a corner of an additional triangle.
[088] In this way, the cab tilting arrangement 6 can support and provide an additional actuator for tilting the cab 8 of the vehicle 4. Thus, for example, depending on the weight of the cab 8 and / or the position of its center of gravity, the force applied to tilt the cab 8 can be increased compared with a cab tilting arrangement comprising only an elongated actuator.
[089] The additional support structure 23' may be of the same type or of a different type Petition 870250093969, dated 10 / 14 / 2025, page 21 / 32 16 / 17 similar to support structure 23. Consequently, with regard to the additional support structure 23', reference is made to the description above of support structure 23.
[090] The elongated actuator 24' may be of the same type or of a similar type to the elongated actuator 24. Consequently, with regard to the elongated actuator 24', reference is made to the description above of the elongated actuator 24.
[091] In relation to the additional two-dimensional plane and the additional triangle formed by the fourth and fifth connecting portions 54, 58 and the additional articulation joint 44', reference is made to the discussion above about the two-dimensional plane and the triangle formed by the first and second connecting portions 12, 14 and the additional articulation joint 44.
[092] Consequently, vehicle 4 is configured for cab tilt 8, using a cab tilt arrangement 6, as discussed with reference to Figs. 4a - 4c. Chassis 10 comprises the fourth and fifth connecting pieces of vehicle 56, 60 and cab 8 comprises the sixth connecting piece of vehicle 68.
[093] For example, in assembly 2, the support structure 23 and the elongated actuator 24 can be arranged towards a side of the vehicle 4, such as towards its left side, and the additional support structure 23' and the additional elongated actuator 24' can be arranged towards the opposite side of the vehicle 4, such as towards its right side.
[094] Similarly, for vehicle 4, the first, second and third connecting pieces of vehicle 12, 14, 16 can be arranged towards one side of vehicle 4, such as towards its left side. The fourth, fifth and sixth connecting pieces of vehicle 56, 60, 68 can be arranged towards the opposite side of vehicle 4, such as towards its right side.
[095] Appropriately, the control of the elongated actuator 24 and the additional elongated actuator 24' is coordinated to synchronize their contractions when tilting the cabin. Petition 870250093969, dated 10 / 14 / 2025, page 22 / 32 17 / 17 and its extensions when cabin 8 is rotated back to its operational position.
[096] According to the embodiments, the additional support structure 23' is connected to the support structure 23. In this way, the cab tilting arrangement 6 can be provided as a unit, at least when connected to the vehicle 4 to form the assembly 2.
[097] For example, the tilting arrangement of the cabin 6 may comprise an element 70, such as a rod or a tube, which connects the support structure 23 and the additional support structure 23'. The element 70 may be aligned with the pivot joint 44 and the other pivot joint 44'.
[098] The additional support structure 23', the additional pivot joint 44' and the additional elongated actuator 24', as disclosed herein, may also be referred to as the second support structure 23', the second pivot joint 44' and the second elongated actuator 24'. Therefore, the support structure 23, the articulation joint 44 and the elongated actuator 24, as disclosed herein, may be referred to as the first support structure 23, the first articulation joint 44 and the first elongated actuator 24.
[099] It should be understood that the foregoing is illustrative of various exemplary embodiments and that the invention is defined only by the appended claims. Those skilled in the art will realize that the exemplary embodiments can be modified and that different features of the exemplary embodiments can be combined to create embodiments different from those described herein, without departing from the scope of the invention as defined by the appended claims.
